The staff was wonderful and were great to get us in even without a reservation. The decor was great and felt very rustic and enjoyable. The wait staff was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. The food was good, especially the dessert. The signature burger was one of the best ones I've had here in England and of you are staying in the area as well worth your time.

Very attractive interior with stylish wooden floors and wall architecture. Cosy ambiance created by subtle lighting. Warm inside with the odd open fireplace here and there. Some of the upholstered chairs could do with some work as uncomfortable for people with mobility issues. Large Sunday roast dinners better than the average pub roast including the Toby Carvery! Fish, meat, veg and vegan options on the menu. Not cheap though quality never comes cheap. The restaurant area is through the bar area and can host large groups. Smaller tables in the bar area just as nice. Staff are attentive and welcoming. The toilets are nicely presented, the ladies had a very nice aroma on entering! We had the soup of the day, vegan veg with lightly toasted sourdough bread with triple-cooked chips on the side. The meat burger was reported as very good came with triple-cooked chips. Recommended we will come back. Perhaps you could remove the outside furnishings from the 2nd if only two blue badge spaces? Outside seating needs some TLC.

I visited with family on Saturday night and wanted to thank you for a great evening. There were several larger parties in the restaurant so we thought we might have to wait a while but this was not the case. My daughter is normally a fussy eater but she polished off all of her meal and pudding! The blue cheese and pear pizza is amazing! Thanks again for a great night. We'll be back soon!

Nice decor. Friendly staff. Turkey roast lunch was good. Soup of the day good. We were underwhelmed with the mushroom starter. We all felt they were quite bland and needed seasoning. I used the loo by the entrance (I assume there are other ladies wc) which is for disabled and nappy changing. I felt it was very grubby and unwelcoming. I feel sorry for anyone that has no option but to use it.

We came here after a spa treatment at the Marriott hotel down the road and we were disappointed with their menu, so tried this place and we're so glad we did! Lovely place! Definitely recommend it. I couldn't give it 5 stars because the fillet steak was a little over done and not the medium rare that I had hoped for. It was still nice, but I've had much better fillet steak before. The sticky toffee pudding was also disappointing. It was very heavy and like a dish sponge 😬 and the drinks menu hadn't been updated so I was disappointed to find out they no longer sell my favourite soft drink. The starters were fantastic though 😍,the triple cooked chips were amazing, the onion rings were delicious, the drinks we had were lovely, the staff were very good and friendly, they went above and beyond with their brilliant service and the pub itself has a great atmosphere. The open fire was very cosy! We'll definitely be back again! It was also inexpensive and had a good variety on their menu. They even had offers on for downloading their app! I'm keen to come back here and try more!

Just had a lunch here , well the place is beautiful but the service is dreadful obviously not enough staff serving and not enough people in the kitchen Waited a long time for our meals , gave up in the end with the dessert had to go had an appointment we had waited 30 mins for it But the place itself is a lovely pub

Visited this cosy pub for most evenings during a work stay in preston. Loved the traditional pub. It was a 10 minute walk from the hotel , friendly staff and great food.

Like this place . Food good and reasonable price and service v good. Not blaming the pub management but seems to be a problem with the car parking security. Recently had a fine sent to me from 3 weeks ago after I had gone straight in and logged my car in. Not good! Sorry, realised my mistake too late! I sent a review after our Xmas Day meal, which was very positive. Our our only complaint was that my daughter is a vegetarian and we feel she was not well catered for. The menu and food were excellent but to only have one veggie option was disappointing. Unfortunately she didn't like it either. That aside everything else was v good. We will definitely come again.

Disappointed. I have had a number of very good meals here back in the summer but my return this week was really disappointing. Firstly I booked online for an 8.30pm meal on Monday. All confirmed by email & text. Arrived at 8.05pm only to be told that the kitchen was now closed. Big 'F-up' on the online booking then! I decided to try again on Wednesday & ordered a fairly simple spicy peperoni pizza with red chilli's. Thought to add some additional bacon. When I tucked in, there was no spice, no chilli's & it would have been a very sparse pizza without my additional bacon. I advised both waitresses but little apology & still expected to pay the full amount. Not impressed one little bit.

Lovely pub, easy to get to and ample parking. You can also take your dog in which I hadn't done until recently. Staff were very welcoming and offered water. Stopped for lunch and the food was great 👍

Nice food in theory, contemporary, but, my £13 burger was incredibly dry, I suspect it had been ready for a while. Very small, tiny even portions on the starters. Nice decor, pleasant staff. But I won't be hurrying back for the food.

Stayed at the Broughton Inn as part of the Britstop scheme. 10 minutes into Preston city centre by bike. Really friendly staff, good beers and a most impressive pizza together with an equally impressive menu. This was my virgin britstop and will definatly be stopping here again.

Second time I've been to the Broughton first time was in 2016 the second time this Sunday just gone (16th Jan 22) Both times the meal and the presentation were on point. Not over elaborate just beautifully cooked solid tasty Sunday lunch fare with a well organised and hard working staff I say well organised because catering for a group of 16 with 3 under 5s in tow isn't the easiest but they were kind and courteous and never put a foot wrong chapeau.

We recently went for a family meal. Lovely decor and rustic interior. Staff very friendly. The food wasn't bad, but my fish and asparagus was actually burnt at the bottom, a little over done. When I told the server, he just said "oh I'll pass that on to the kitchen, sorry about that". I found that disappointing. I noticed the kitchen staff kept shuffling past to get drinks from the bar. I thought it looked really unprofessional.The younger kitchen staff member had one hand down the back of his pants. This just didn't look good. Overall a pleasant experience but the food, although generally ok, didn't warrant the high price.

The food is always wonderful but tonight my dads sprouts where very very hard, my partners batter was very wet, my.mum didn't get tzatziki with her lifts so it was dry and my bread and butter pudding was cold that's ok as it tasted good but so was the custard. They were very busy but not as impressed tonight 😏

Very nice and relaxing pub just off the new by-pass. Reasonable prices on food and drinks. New Covid regulations are followed which actually works better as in it's at table service. Good tasty good and if you download Vintage Inns app you get discounts as well!

If you are staying at the nearby marriot, forget the in hotel restaurant, come here! Warm, welcoming and a good menu. The booking process is easy online. The drink menu is large and the food menu good. All items were cooked perfectly and the whole staff made the experience feel nice. The COVID precautions were clear and we'll enforced.

I was only there for a quick coffee and the barmaid very helpful (my phone had died and I was lost). The pub did not get my full attention, because I was lost, late and stressed but from what I saw of it, I was really impressed. Definitely will go back for a more relaxed look, they have outside seating area too. The interior looks original with wooden beams, open fireplace and comfy looking armchairs, seating areas and snugs. I am looking forward to a return visit.

Friendly, cozy, comfortable, and dog friendly. We were able to get a nice table by an open fire with our dog after a long walk, and have a nice leisurely lunch. Just what we needed! Beer selection could be better, but that's a small niggle. Only Wainwright's and Doom Bar on tap - solid enough, but not too interesting. Might be worth ringing ahead if you're with a dog, as the dog friendly area did fill up while we were there.

The waiter/barman was pleasant, polite and presentable, he appeared however, to be the only person actually on duty that evening. My friend and I had aperitifs in the cosy lounge before we went to our table where we made our choices from the menu . Both of us were hungry by this time so were a little disappointed to be told that our selections had sold out, it was only about 7pm. After perusing the menu for alternatives, we made our decisions only to be told my friend's dish was available but mine was not. By now I was half-way through a bottle of wine, had we not been looking forward so much to a good catch-up chat, we might have considered moving on to another restaurant at this point but we'd got comfortable in the chairs and were both tired after a long day at work. When eventually the food did arrive it was very nice and of course the Gourmet Society card discount helps to forgive the shortcomings of a handy local inn.

What can i say.. it was such a amazing experience, the tempura prawns were out of this world and the lamb koftas starters were just exceptional, i knew straight away that the mains were going to be just as good and they were did not disappoint in any way , the Dou of lamb was delicious i asked for more red wine jus it was that nice, and Kristy was out waitress and she did a brilliant job 10 out 10 service i will definitely be coming back again. Service was slow, only 4/5 tables in but took a while to order. Food was good for price paid (£14.50 for 2 courses). I'm lactose intolerant and no dairy free milk available. I'd ordered a brownie and I wasnt at the table when it arrived, I sat down to find a scoop of ice cream on top (not on the menu) and waited 3/4 mins for a member of staff to come near so I could ask for a new one, but was no one to be seen, so I had to eat around the ice cream.

Visited 11 November 2018, 2 couples, 1500 not too busy . Got shown to a table with a bench seat that was dirty and the seat cover was torn badly exposing the sponge, asked to move and we were. Ordered drinks, these came 15 minutes later after a trip to the bar asking where they were. Doombar very nice pint and a bottle of prosecco. When we realised that it was the most expensive bottle the waiter held his hands up and spoke to his supervisor who let us have it at the lower bottle price. So the first half hour did not go well. However, the food was first class, starters, lamb shank roast and desserts (pudding) were all cooked to perfection and immensely tasty. The staff were friendly and accomodating and the toilets immaculate. First ever visit and would definitely return.

The pub furniture needs updating as many of the chairs were thread bare and the foam showing through. With restaurant competitors very near by, Vintage Inns must make some upgrading improvements to attract more customers. The new bypass may be taking drop in vistors to other venues.
