Went for a Carvery with a friend. The food and service was excellent, even though it was a busy Saturday lunch time. Would recommend booking.

Friendly staff on the door. No explanation whether to order at table or on the app. As no-one followed up we used the app. Was easy to do, but had to ask if drinks would be brought to table or we had to collect. They do bring them. Ordered two carvery, one beef and one pork. Queue was fairly long but quick to be served. Portion was good for the price. Food was not hot enough only slightly warm. Tasted nice but definitely needed to be hotter. No-one checks if everything is okay. Probably wouldn't return as for a few pounds more could have table service and plated up by chefs who assess temperature.

My husband Nicks birthday was the reason why we all visited The Farmers Arms. There were 11 of us in total. A lovely welcome when we all arrived. We had brought a cake which was taken into the kitchen ready for when we were to sing to birthday boy.
Laura was your member of staff who couldn't do enough for us. She was brilliant. Bringing the cake in, singing with us all, clearing all our plates away then taking photos of us all. Laura couldn't do enough she was amazing.
Thank you The Farmers Arms for a great evening. Food was great too and the boys loved the bottomless ice cream. Thank you!

Visited for some lunch today - managed to get a table last minute luckily. The place is really lovely and clean. Got served quickly & the staff are super friendly. The carvery was brilliant - hot, tasty & plenty of choice. Can't wait to visit again!

What a lovely gem of a place.
Cheap and cheerful, the food is fab and the staff were very accommodating with our two young children.
Our waitress Laura was superb, very friendly and enthusiastic.
We will definitely be coming back, thanks! :)

We've been here a few times now for a carvery mostly which has always been really good. It's always a pretty busy pub so we book and usually go between 5pm and 5.30pm - would definitely recommend booking a table if there is four or more in your party. Food on the carvery is always good quality and hot. There's plenty to choose from. Normally have turkey, gammon and beef to choose from. There are sausages as an alternative and you can pay 99p extra for three pigs in blankets. You get offered a Yorkshire pudding or not. The kids love it because they get to choose their meal and its always good value at about £30 for four carvery meals with pigs in blankets and a soft drink each.

Came to the farmers arms for a family celebration, met with a smile from Mel, who showed us to our table.
The food was excellent and well priced. We were served at the bar by Katie whose was both pleasant and efficient!
Thanks alot for making my our celebrations memorable xx

One of our go to places, yeah it's hit and miss with any carvery. Probably best to visit at main meal times when things are replenished quickly as it's busy. One thing I was very surprised about was children with their father using the fruit machine, the manager walked by and a member of staff walked by. Working previously for M&B this is an instant no no. The lady manager on every instance does not seem to want to be there.
