Excellent service by very friendly staff, the food was great, the pizza cooked to perfection with a thin crust and all our added extras. They do a lovely pint too, a great way to end a Monday.

Plenty of seating areas inside and lovely terrace adorned with pretty flowers outside. Certainly recommend without hesitation. And will go there again without any apprehension. We have had a family meal tonight to celebrate my wife's retirement, we had 23 family members all the meals arrived correctly and in a very reasonable time. There was hardly any food left on the plates so I can confidently say that everyone enjoyed their meal, I know I certainly did. I can highly recommend the Yew Tree for excellent food.

Called in for a late lunch we had steak off the grill it was cooked to perfection, fries nice and crispy too. We have been back again and same again lovely. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Just 1 thing we weren't to happy about was the people on the next table had a dog with them which I don't agree with whilst other tables are eating, dog hairs travel through the air and could easily land on other diners plates and food. We weren't aware it was a pet friendly pub if we had known we would have gone somewhere else which is a shame as the food was lovely. Its a big treat to eat out these days with the cost of everything going through the roof and we thought we had found a new local reasonably priced place to eat. Apart from the dog issue it's a great place to eat.

Visited for the second time and was not disappointed. A very friendly welcoming place. A vast gluten free menu which is a rarity when eating out and a massive plus for me, as I have coeliac disease. I was over whelmed with choice! When the food came it was piping hot and spot on. Staff was attentive and polite. Definitely recommend and will certainly be visiting again.

The food wasn't so great or the service. Strange and confusing how you pull in the place and I can guess there's been a few accidents on the junction. Outdoor terrace is very nice however, apart from the view.

Popped in after the cinema for a meal one Sunday, hadn't eaten here before and it was lovely! Seated right away although busy and food looked delicious, menu had a great selection which made it hard to chose a meal bit we all enjoyed ehat we ordered and will be back to try other meals.

The food here is good at a decent price, tho the steak was the tiniest over done for my taste it was still decent to eat, with great puddings and a warm friendly atmosphere, Edited this review due to going back and as promised the steak was cooked perfectly, thank you, also the lovely young lady with the light blonde hair and tattoos was amazing, Great staff, will be going back again and again!

Great service, really nice food, warm baguettes were delicious, salt and pepper chicken was amazing and sweet potato fries were up there with the best i've had. We will definitely be going back here again before the cinema.

The Yew Tree is a great place for a casual get together. A friend and I took lunch here, I can recommend the meat feast pizza and the chilli looked pretty damn good too. The guy that runs the place (Mike) is a legend and can be seen running back and forth throughout the day keeping customers happy with his team. If you're around, stick your head in.

Spacious free car park, cosy atmosphere and lots of places to sit. Went the entire experience with almost no interaction with staff apart from going to the bar to order food, then chase up where food was when half the table was served. Staff never approached us, yet approached other tables throughout their meals. Good prices for the food. Way too much sauce for 6 small chipolatas on the starter though. Ice cream hard frozen with chunks in but other than that, good tastes, good meal.

Had tea at Yew Tree tonight and it was great. Had an issue with my food but the staff dealt with it quickly and very positively. To me it's not an issue that shows the quality of a place but how it is dealt with. We'll definitely be back and will recommend to others. The food I ate was delicious.

Had a family meal here on Saturday evening, large menu with lots of choice, food itself was ok no complaints but had better pub grub... However, well worth a visit for the pleasant, lively atmosphere and excellent service. We had several people attend to us all but all were polite, helpful and worked as a great team no delay in anything we requested even though it was very busy, well done guys.

Basic food and prices have just been increased online with usual pubs in the area. The difference here is simple... The staff! Friendly, helpful and quick service. It's our go to for a quick pub lunch while visiting the retail park across the road. Give it a try!

Went with my partner. Very good quality food - both our meals were excellent (fish pie, chilli con carne with rice and possibly the best chips I've ever tasted). A warning: avoid the "light bites" option as the portions are tiny - much smaller than the menus and the price suggest. Atmosphere is fine, surprisingly quiet given that it's surrounded by main roads.

This is my favourite place - fresh, taste and home made food for sure. Sadly this will be my last time visit. On three visits, we sat for 10min, with the menu hoping someone would come and take the order, even had an eye contact with the waiter and waitress but had no acknowledgement! Food was good, typical food for a pub, waiting on staff were excellent. However the guy behind the bar was rude and had an attitude. He displayed no manners at all which instantly got my back up. He threw the bill across the bar at me instead of passing it to me and then held his hand out for my payment card instead of asking me to check the amount and pass me the mobile card payment machine. I challenged him to this of which he grunted and never thanked me for my custom. For this reason I wont be going back.

Pretty good food. Dropped in on a Friday lunch so was a bit busy, the menu has a good selection of mains starters and sides. Also does breakfast from 9am, possibly too late for the work crowd but great for meetings

Great food at a reasonable price. Have had the seafood pasta twice, because I enjoyed it so much the first time. On my last visit I had the Lancashire Hotpot - also excellent. Some customers have criticized the beer - I had the Caledonian cask bitter, which was first rate. I went back later in the afternoon for another! I can thoroughly recommend visiting.

Usually my favourite lunch pub but today my beer battered fish was overcooked and the batter was hard to eat. The chips had an old oil tastes not very pleasant at all. The staff as usual was lovely very kind and very caring

Good food thoroughly enjoyed but was spoiled by unruly kids. 2 children were allowed to run riot within the conservatory area They were allowed to remove their shoes and socks and proceeded to "skate" along the carpet using the menus from the tables in their bare feet. The girl sat at an unoccupied table and put her feet up on the table The cutlery, set out on vacant tables were knocked to the floor whilst the mother/responsible adult(not) completely allowed them to do it. We pointed this out to the waiter who said the manager wasn't in today so couldn't do anything about it I stressed to him that the tables and menus would need a good clean with disinfectant before unsuspecting diners sat at the tables. The mother and friend were oblivious to what the kids were doing and even with the shouting and screaming they were doing never checked them or made them quieten down Such a shame to be irritated by them when the meal was actually very good. I'm all for taking the kids out for a meal but they shouldn't be allowed to run riot risking tripping waiters with hot food and drinks and also with having bare feet risking standing on any broken glass etc and also spoiling someone else's meal.

Friendly atmosphere from the clientele. The staff were all very friendly, provided great service, even ordering a taxi and informing when it was outside. They had some guest beers, such as Caledonian and Moorhouses. The Moorhouses was my choice and was in great condition. The good beer stopped us going anywhere else. Will definitely go again and won't leave it as long next time.

Nice pub grub. They have daily specials which are worth a look. I'd recommend the light bites, not too big, not too small, and you can manage a pudding too. We've been a few times with and without kids, will be going again.

I've been driving past the yew tree for many years as it it's in the middle of a bypass but thought we would give it a try on Saturday night the staff are very good the food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable it's a lovely atmosphere very clean and well maintained as I said the staff are fantastic I would recommend it to anyone

Would have been a good night out but found the waiters dont seem to want to serve took 3 no 4 attempts to get 1 of them to take my order only to be told it will be 45 mins to an hour which is fine its busy but got meal in 15 which is great but the meal wife ordered fish and chips with buttered bread was not what we expected fish was small thought she'd ordered a small meal but when ask was told no it was the large meal so asked where the bread and butter was said sorry will get it now told him no as nearly finish my meal thats how long it took to get a waiter to notice same far getting Bill waiter didn't bring bill bar maid did have had many a meal in yew tree and always enjoyed service all ways been great but that might be do to be served by staff like the job the do so wont be eating out at nights will stick to afternoons when the nicer staff on
