M. A.Pretty disappointed, which is a shame. Booked a table for food, but it was very quiet so no need. We missed our train so phoned to say we were running late, no answer, so emailed.
Once we arrived was surprised how quiet they were for a Friday. Not a very warm welcome, demanded to see our ID (I am 46, daughter 19). Ordered food and drinks, the food took ages to arrive, but the place was nearly empty. I was expected to eat without a fork, no body asked how our food was, no offer of a fork....
Went looking for the toilet and got shouted at!
So we drank up and left asap.
Pity because we had just been to Brewdog Aberdeen and it was completely the opposite, so friendly, so helpful and very prompt service.
Reading you are letting the side down!
k. l.The beer is great, nice bar, nice staff. The food is good too, it's just WAY too expensive. You'll be paying around £20 for a burger and chips which is absolutely not worth it. Can also take a long time to arrive

B.Been coming here for the past 4 years now, bringing friends, important meetings we've wanted to impress at, work gatherings, and even just bringing the laptops and sketchbooks to work from a cosy booth, and there's a reason we keep coming back. Great atmosphere, great food, but most importantly, the staff make this venue stand out above any other of the 40+ Brewdog bars I've visited. Having seen BD Reading go through various hands of management, they have definitely found their groove with the current roster of brilliantly knowledgeable staff. It's so lovely to go to a place where they take the time to learn your preferences so can recommend you the perfect beer before you even ask. That's these guys all over - they work SO hard, but they always make time for us, and it means so much to us as regulars.
A. B. M.Got all-you-can-eat Wings Wednesday where they serve you 12 chicken, cauliflower, or seitan wings, and then topups of 5 each time. You have to book online in advance. Unfortunately no mix and match so a bit boring eating the same thing, so you don't end up eating as many as you can. The chicken wings themselves were okay - batter quite thick and sauce maybe a bit too salty.

A.Been here a couple of times now for drinks and beer. Lots of options for modern craft larger and ale. Had the buffalo chicken burger and tried the wings. Both were fantastic flavour and very nice crispy coatings. Fizz Friday for cheap prosecco bottles and wings weds for unlimited wings. Would recommend highly. Only reason for dropping a star is that we spent almost half a day there Friday and they didn't seem to vary the music. Almost all classic rock. Let's get some up to date music too!

R. C.Good as always, but the pinball tables couldn't be played as no change was available. Also the beer menu wasn't quite as good as it has been in the past. Don't get me wrong, this is one of the best places in Reading to drink, but they've set a high standard in the past and they're not quite living up to it.

R. R.Service was very slow. The wings were coming out extremely slowly especially for their unlimited Wednesday offer, plus they had no buffalo sauce!!! Gluten free beers have recently been taken off the taps which was really disappointing. Some ciders on tap and gf bottled beer but quite expensive for bottles. They had gluten free food options although nothing suitable for coeliacs. Some really friendly staff but some were not so helpful.

R. O.I've long been a fan of Brewdog beers from the supermarkets as they seem to produce good quality craft beers on a mass market scale. Gone are the days where all you can get at the supermarket are boring mass market lagers! This was my first time visiting a Brewdog pub and I was very pleased. We didn't have any food (though I've heard good things), but the beer was fantastic. Elvis Juice, one of my favorite Brewdog beers, was incredible on draught. The Guava Hazy Jane was even better. We'll definitely be going back.

As i love the relaxed feel of an american bar, this made me feel like i was back in America. The servers are nice and friendly and look quite punky at times too haha. The food is also very american. When i say very american i mean big portion sizes and very very rich haha - i got a burger and shared some bang bang Cauliflower wings and i could not finish which is very unlike me. The only slight downside is the price - even though portion sizes are big the price is expensive for the beers also. All in all a lovely treat though! Much better atmosphere than other pubs in the area
R. E.Good place. Bit quieter than the London bars which are often very good with high standards. The food can be slow (up to an hour) but worth it. Using the app is great, ordering to the table. Buffalo wings are a special, both the chicken and cauliflower.

Had some tasters and found exactly what we've liked. Well done. Most certainly coming back. Environment is very cozy, loads of seating, ended up chatting with some beer lovers and exchanged the recommendations to each other. Definitely suggest coming in.

S. P.Great selection of craft beers on tap, however we had a very long wait for our meal (around 2hrs). We were given a discount off the bill to compensate, so apart from the hunger pains, it's a good place. Burgers were good though once they finally arrived. Beer prices could be a bit cheaper too but a nice place and a good vibe all round.

Be sure to check the pouring size on the drinks you are buying as sometimes it's a pint, schooner or smaller for the stronger ones.

Just a shame they (Brewdog bars in general) rip you off with the prices of their cans and bottles. They often have a decent selection of guest cans in, but the prices are usually 20/30% more than some independent bars I go to. A company the size of Brewdog shouldn't be doing this.

M. A.Typical Friday night in Reading and all the bars are loud and overcrowded. Popped into brewdog and it has the best atmosphere in town. Awesome variety of ales but really chilled crowd and not too loud so you don’t have to shout. Great bar staff and good grub for a reasonable price. 👍🏻
A. K.Cool place! This location does burgers and pizzas with some nice sides. The best thing about it though is their selection of beer. You can get the standby BrewDog beers among guest taps.
The one cool thing was you can get the member beers there too! They don't get shipped to your house but you can at least try them here as they are released.
This place is large enough to host several large groups and is apparently dog friendly. Gotta go check it out!
R. C.Love for beer and love the food. Staff could be friendlier and act less like they're doing you a favour though, and should pay more attention rather than needed to have their attention grabbed. Always book a table, especially on Wednesdays. Great place to hang out with mates.
C. V.Excellent service, they looked after us. The pints were very good quality. Had Buffalo Cauliflower which was very spicy but good. The Beyond Meat burger was juicy, couldn't tell it wasn't meat.

Although it's my local BrewDog bar it's not my favourite. Most of the staff are friendly enough but some make you feel your interrupting them by wanting to be served and this can make the place feel cold. Not seen many dogs in here either.
But it's still BrewDog, with the great beer.
If this had of been the first BrewDog I had walked into I wouldn't have fallen in love with the brand the way I did in the Newcastle Branch.
R. B.Great selection of craft beer from around the world. Bar staff are super friendly and will help with selecting the right brew. They serve fantastic burgers. If you are a fan of fried chicken burgers, try the Cluck Norris.
My wife is not a beer fan, but they serve (a limited) selection of wine and spirits. However, we have found they are often out of lemonade for some reason.
The building is massive, looks cool with exposed brick, yet it has limited seating on the ground floor. They also strangely let you reserve tables in the evenings and will let nearly the entire place get booked. Have had to leave twice now as they come by and tell me my table has been “booked” (even though once there was no notice on the table). Was a shame, as I was meeting my wife for dinner after catching the train from London to reading... so we went just up the street to a nice BBQ place and had dinner. Maybe this is just a December thing. I don’t know.
U. K.This place do have quite a good collection of good beers. It did however not have a "sink the Bismarck" which is one of the most famous beers from brewdog, could be that it would be too expensive though.
I would for sure go there again next time I am around Reading for a few beers.
R. M.Really good beer! The inside of the bar is well designed, spacious and clean :) The music was a bit overpowering for 5pm on a weekday (volume and genre!) so probably wouldn't go regularly but you can get the beer to takeway - bonus!
T.Spacious bar with an upbeat atmosphere but not too noisy. They have a huge range of beers and ciders. The drinks tend to be hit and miss but the staff are happy to give you tasters of anything. Also, they have some lovely pinball machines in the corner which is often a miss in your average bar scene.

E. D.We came in the evening and ordered hamburgers and sweet potato fries, all of which turned out satisfactory. We had with us my friend's golden retriever, and we happen to meet a friendly dog and its humans at a nearby table. The two dogs played a bit which was nice, so if you want a laid back meal in a relaxed environment, this is it.

B. P.I don't usually like beer, but here they have a lot of different types and some of them are almost sweet. They guys behind the bar really know their stuff. Plus, you can grab a board game if you want. Really nice place!
B.I enjoy BrewDog beers at other pubs, but expected a BD venue to offer a full selection of all their creations. Instead we found that they sell the same 330ml Punk IPA cans that you can find in any supermarket, only for about £4 per can.
Most other BD drinks were unavailable when I went, though I think that might have been due to some sort of craft beer event that was on at the time.
Food offerings were also expensive and underwhelming.
Great products, but perhaps better experienced elsewhere.
A.Despite appearance of steps inside staff very helpful with ramp to allow wheelchair access.( Guess listed building so limited options in design for ramps) great bar awesome drink especially the clockwork tangerine. We had ordered food but due to how busy it was and our time frame ( seeing Daniel sloss at hexagon) they advised longer wait. They offered refund no hassle but also offered free snacks . Have to say staff went above and beyond with help in and inside and coming to table . Calsberg probably the best beer blah blah but Brewdog definitely the best bar with the best staff and beer. Thank you

P. G.Attended the open day, despite the large amount of people converging the staff managed things well and managed to deal with the occasional angry punter who couldn't understand why they couldn't have a pint of 16.5% ABV beer!
The decore matches the normal brewdog style and the building is spacious and has been converted well. It's a massive space with a mixture of communal seating, casual seating and booths.
There's 20 taps and a massive range of bottled beers.

A. P.Good drinks and relaxed atmosphere. Foodwise the chips and wings were tasty, the chicken burgers were eye catching and the dogs had good feedback from our group. The veggie options in the menu were a bit limited, mostly based on seitan. Personally I (meat lover) didn't find the seitan burger appetising or tasty but I enjoyed and would recommend the other menu items I had.

Great beer, good staff, industrial "building site" decor, you know the drill if you're going to a brewdog bar. A. L.Brewdog arrives in Reading and shakes up the craft beer scene. I popped in to see what the fuss was about on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. Plenty of high seats and tables together with over 20 beers on tap. Beers sold in halves, pints or 2/3 depending on strength to keep costs down. Big beer menu board behind bar but little else to tell you about the various beers. Can't tell you about food menu. Quite industrial decor and I am sure it will do well at expense of existing real pubs like Nags Head and Castle Tap which aren't in the centre like Brewdog is!

M. B.Visited just once on a touch and go business trip but there was plenty to warrant a revisit next time. The most of the bar and restaurant are fused into a single large open space, imbuing the locale and crowd with a wonderfully viby atmosphere. The music rocked and swayed our group as we drank creatively crafted IPAs (the Elvis Juice truly their best offering) though it never got to loud for those of us who instead gave themselves to conversation over the just shy of conservative but absolutely delicious burgers and wild beer infusions, all of them available to be pretasted. Topped by a straightforward service, this was as five-star an experience as I've had.
