We came here yesterday to celebrate a special occasion. The food was lovely, with a great variety to choose from off of the menu. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. We were served by Annie who went above and beyond and even brought her doggy outside to meet us on her afternoon break. I loved the outside seating area with the pretty flowers. Overall very pleasant experience, thank you 👍🥂

Although short staffed and not expecting table service, in fact we did have table service and it was excellent. We were warned there could be a delay to get food, but it was not too bad and we could just enjoy our drinks while we waited.
Food was good and portion sizes well judged. Marshmallow bits in the ice cream Sundae seemed a bit crunchy (not quite defrosted)? But otherwise all very nice.

I was travelling through and decided to stop here for some dinner and a pint. What a great little cosy pub, most importantly with a dart board! Which is rare these days.
Food was top notch and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. Staff were friendly and we received a warm greeting as soon as we step foot in the door. If I'm ever in the area again I shall definitely return!

This is a nice pub in a small village. We sometimes stop by after taking our dog for a walk in the nearby woods. The service was good & the staff were very polite. The food was good but not great, but price wise was reasonable.
M. S.
Nice to see the pub open again - food was hot and tasty. Service with a smile.
Only slight complaint - I had the battered fish and chips - the portion of peas was extremely small - there was more tartar sauce then peas

I’d booked a table for 9 people, we arrived and stood for a good 5-10 minutes before being seated. The guy apologised as he was on his own. We sat without menus until we asked for them. Service was slow and our food came out separately. We had finished by the time the last meal arrived. We had to ask for the pudding menu as nobody came. The food was good though.
S. S.
Lovely food, great selection of drinks. The garden is a lovely outside area. We were served by Adrienne who was welcoming and attentive. We will be back.
W. G.
A lovely pub in a beautiful village. Food was as good as expected and more, and bar staff Emily and Will were welcoming and warm. Will definitely be paying another visit soon
A. J.
Service was slow but waitress/barmaid was very pleasant and helpful. It also seemed that she was waiting on tables and running the bar by herself, there was another lady in the bar but she her doing anything other than telling the waitress/barmaid what to do.
A. L.
couldnt imagine the real task set to get this off the ground under new management but by god did they do well, had a great time there, served by the barman Will, who poured a more than satisfactory pint, (well, pints… - dont tell the wife).
Look forward to seeing the team again soon.

The pub was a welcome sight after a long day on the Ridgeway walk. Food was nice cooked quickly and served with a smile good selection of ales and the price was right. Good size car park at the back which make changing my boots easy.
E. D.
Lovely village pub with a great calming ambience. Served by Will and Sue who were both charming and friendly, shall be back next time I am about
R. W.
Great place for food and drinks and it is cheaper priced than the other pubs in this village, handy if you are staying at the YHA it has sky sports and a beer garden at the back. Food was very tasty and they do vegan

Booked a table for 18:30 for my husband's birthday. Received a friendly welcome and invited to choose where to sit. Drink orders taken whilst we looked at the menu. Waitress returned and took our food order. Starters arrived in good time, nachos to share. Very nice. Waitress returned to check everything was ok and again when we had finished, clearing the plate away. After a suitable time, our mains arrived, hunters chicken for myself and a large ultimate cheese burger for my husband
Both meals were delicious. Another person came to check everything was ok during our meal. When we had finished we were asked if we wanted any desserts, but we were both too full to eat anything else!
A really lovely quiet birthday meal.
O.
Great food over all, great manager I had the lasagne it was top notch the Mexican nachos came with chicken gougouns they where some of they best I have had would recomend
a. l.
Lovely pub with plenty of space inside & out and a cosy log fire burning. The staff were really friendly and helpful when we asked for directions & information.
The cider really needs to come with a warning though! 🤪
B. L.
Brilliant pub with great food and great service. Special thanks to will at the bar!
f. l.
Loved it!
We booked a room here for the end of Day 2 of the King Alfred's Way (or the Cider Circuit as I've taken to calling it) cycling from Salisbury Plain, via Avebury, the Ridgeway into South Oxfordshire, and then down Streatley Hill (#14 in the UK for hills? I'm quoting a local cyclist, but yeah....steep final run) to the Bull Inn which is conveniently at the bottom! I lost a pedal at the top which made for an interesting descent, but what about The Bull Inn you might ask?
A cheery welcome, along with a top tip about where I might get my pedals replaced (Pankhurst Cycles fyi, different review) so not to hinder Day 3 - it was a fantastic tip. Due to our stopping at other hostelries en route - it was a stinking hot day tbf - we arrived fairly late, but they opened up the kitchen for us, very grateful they did as we didn't fancy trekking round the village when our beds were seconds away. Great selection of Cask conditioned ales and beers, after we'd had our cider fix.
Cycles securely stowed away in a store room (we could have popped them into our room, no problem there, but we'd had a particularly muddy run a little earlier and didn't fancy ruining someone else's carpet),
Breakfast was brilliant, even the vegetarian GF seemed happy with her V friendly version of the Full English.
This is a great place for anyone, whether on a bike or not.
Friendly staff, great food, banging shower, comfy bed, efficient service, and top local bike shop tips. Doesn't get much better.
p. b.
From booking to leaving exceptional service.
As a competitors manager from london I was pleasantly happy.
C. F.
A nice pub with fine decor and plesent atmosphere leaning towards a town rather than country pub (odd for its location), food was a reasonable price with a menu that was a bit different, more imaginative than your standard pub fare (it wasn't realy) . Modern economics dictates reasonable price = reasonable quality and although everything was OK there is a bit of room for some improvement on that front. So all in all we had a plesent afternoon out and we will return many times in the future..
c. h.
Had a great night tonight whilst visiting family in the area , staff couldn't be more helpful and the manager. Sorry forgot his name was very welcoming and looked after us all night!
Food was delicious and with 30% off boom 💥
Will definitely pop in next time we are back
R. C.
My friend and I stayed for two nights. For the price, the room was very good! Bigger than expected and very clean. We had a few different meals there including breakfast, dinner and a roast, plus just a couple drinks. Staff was lovely, the pub dog is ADORABLE and the prices are unbeatable. Super tasty vegetarian roast and the beer garden is big and very nice. If I were to return to the area, I'd definitely go back.
M. D. S.
Found this last minute as I was performing locally. I shared with another member of the band who also thought as I did. Staff are friendly, helpful & approachable. Breakfast was part of the price for room & was perfect. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.
G. M.
Fantastic food and great service. We hadn't booked and sat outside when we first arrived but the team found us a space inside as soon as possible. We will definitely be back but I'll remember to book next time.
G. M.
Very nice country pub. Busy at the time we visited however bar staff where very helpful in helping us after a car breakdown. The pub has a very homely feel, great selection of beers.
The menu was reasonably priced and extensive. Will return soon
M. H.
Good food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere!
L. E.
Absolutely brilliant. Staff were amazing, as was the food. We had a table of 16, which isn't easy to look after, but they did a brilliant job. All will go back again. Thank you.
R. W.
Nice pub, lots of space. Chain pub and weird old pallet wood decor.
c. s.
Had originally booked for two nights but it was so cost and welcoming we stayed another night, easy access to Reading town and Henly upon Thames.Pub manager was a charming host and really lo ok ked after us.We
stayed 27th to the 30th December
C. J.
Stopped off for lunch.. Food was good, service was good.. Access is difficult if you are elderly or disabled though due to steep steps down to the entrance
P. S.
Warm welcome / cycle friendly / good value food and drinks / very helpful with every request / bike wash / Caked in Ridgeway mud and chalk? No problem, come on in
V. P.
What a lovely countryside pub! Great food, nice outdoors settings - important during the famous English spring (they have a large gazebo so one can still be outside and stay dry while it's tipping it down) and very nice staff! A must-go if you are around in Goring!
B. K.
Food and staff perfect from beginning to end. Thank you. We will be back soon.
K. C.
Had been to The Bull several times before, so was looking forward to spending the evening with my daughters, sadly this evening the service was a huge let down glasses with lipstick on, side orders not coming with the meal when they did £2.95 for 3 onion rings & a main missing garlic bread, pasta dish was greasy & most of it was left, as it wasn't pleasant, disappointing not to the standard we'd experienced on previous visits. It wasn't really busy, Would we return not during the evening service. Very disappointing.
T. F.
We booked a table for lunch today with our 85 year old mum. First time out in over a year! We were made so welcome by the team at the Bull. Extremely friendly and helpful, great food and good value. The garden is beautiful and I’ll say it... the loos were spotless. Good Covid track and trace, staff wearing masks and everything was ultra professional. Five stars aren’t enough. Thank you!
J. W.
Fine spot and food. We had our lunch outdoors with covid restrictions in place. Their garden is beautiful and spacy with an enormous yew tree in the middle. The menu was reduced but I like to have limited choice. My beef lasagne was superb with some ale added to the sauce. The portion was generous. The same with nicely grilled classic burger. We also liked breaded mushrooms with garlic mayo for a starter. Very polite and helpful service. The sorrounding area makes a great walking route.
D. L.
Slightly confusing Covid guidelines (go inside to order and then sit and wait for your drinks before taking them outside yourself) but otherwise a nice big garden and a nice atmosphere.
We only stopped by for a drink but felt very welcome.
J. L.
Lovely food and great service, we enjoyed the three course Christmas menu, very reasonable.
L. B.
Lovely pub, great atmosphere, really beautifully decorated
J. E.
Great service and food, excellent prices
S. k.
Food is average, but served reasonable quick, smart staff, and the biggest plus is the beer garden. Good for chill out.
A.
Amazing food and drink. Staff welcoming. Lovely place would definitely recommend visiting
T. D.
Delicious food and friendly helpful staff as always. We possibly go once a year when.in the area and its just a great pub all round and has large outdoor area too.
j. s.
Walk in for a Sunday lunch (veggie). Only a few options on the menu, but they did produce an "off menu" tart for one of us. Both meals were good solid Sunday pub lunch fare. One star deducted for limited choice of veggie meals, but otherwise great!
G. H.
Great venue, good food and hospitality
S. S.
Great place to eat and chill out in the garden
Very polite staff..
Awesome burger and chips and a soft drink.
My mate had a colourful chicken salad and 2 drinks. Decent price of £23 for both meals. Very well organised place with hand sanitiser upon entrance.
L. B. J.
Food wasn't great if I'm honest. Rooms very dated staff very friendly
M. L.
Excellent steaks once again never let us done
S. K.
Very good service albeit took a bit longer than I expected.
H. C.
We spent a very enjoyable Friday lunchtime here where we both had fish and chip and I demolished a bottle of very tasty prosecco. The staff were incredibly attentive without being over the top and they made a real fuss of our dog (20% off your food on Tuesday if you take your four legged friend!!). The food was very nice, the menu extensive and very suitable for families. Also, very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a mix of clients, some diners some just having a drink, there is a large restaurant area and a very large beer garden for the warmer months. All in all a very pleasent place to pass an afternoon!
a. b.
Very friendly good honest food and fair prices really enjoyed our visit
C. T.
Very good quality food, great service and very good prices. What more could you ask for. The half chicken Sunday roast is highly recommended!
A. W.
Great pub good food friendly staff
D. W.
Fantastic roast dinner with family - brilliant price. Staff cheery and helpful. Great as it always was.
N. N.
Delightful traditional family friendly pub with great food and welcoming staff.
M. D.
Very welcoming staff, good prices, I had a very good gammon steak but our other meal choice was not so good - rather tasteless sausages!
N. W.
The menu had changed, so my favourite steak and kidney pudding was gone. Welcome was good, but took half an hour for drinks to arrive (which the waitress added twice to our bill).
Food was ok. I had the steak and kidney pie - lots of gravy which was good, and it was fully packed, but nothing rustic.
Partner had lamb burger which tasted nice!
Waitress twice said we couldn't have the 2 meals +wine for £20. Until another waiter corrected her.
Large, spacious, and lovely garden. Even free dog treats. The rooms they have looked quite nice!
Waiter very happily corrected the bill when I pointed out the error.
I suspect the waitress was new, and the food was fine. So yes, I would return, and recommend it. Especially because of the location.
A. W.
Food seems to.have been reduced in quantity and not price. Still nice though .
The beer was poor tonight though, no local brewery's, and Barman was a bit off with us when it was pointed out. After being asked if meal was ok by landlord (educated guess),we said yes but not the beer. He recommended bottled Pale Ale was) which was a good price on offer at two for £5. But not the same as tap bitter.
No wonder people buy in Supermarkets and stay home.
M. B.
Had a great evening at the Bull Inn. Friendly staff. Tasty food. Decent pricing.
P. M.
I really like the atmosphere it's a warm welcome every time I go there. The beers are always kept well and I think the food is lovely and is value for the price. The staff are great and made me feel welcome. I will definitely go back there.
Pete.
R. P.
All the staff were very friendly and most helpful. Food was outstanding and would highly recommend
A. S.
Fantastic family pub in an even better location. Great food and service to top it off.
P. W.
Lovely location.. average food
J. L.
Whether I go on my own, or with the family, or dogs, I also receive a warm welcome. Food is lovely. The staff also spoiled us beautifully for a Christmas party organised for 25 of our Nordic Walking members. They were famished and very merry! Also love how the local community is looked after with a vibrant atmosphere and events.
T. C.
Table booked for 13 with a mention of 3 dogs with us, we pre ordered food, upon arrival the dogs had been missed off the booking, no matter, the staff were very accommodating setting up a table in a cozy part of this delightful pub! Food was nice at very reasonable price, service was efficient, friendly and with a smile, nothing was too much trouble! ( even water & biscuits for the dogs!) We’ll call again for sure.
A. X.
Food is lovely but you don't get what is on the menu - as in the description. Bed of black pudding had obviously ran out and also with the crumble the crispy top disappeared on route from the kitchen.
Pints are great - staff nice -
J. B.
Found in a quiet period but was friendly and peaceful. Food was well cooked and the menu varied
P. L.
great staff, food good value for money. room a bit basic and noisy
A.
Nice pub and very reasonably priced Sunday lunch at 2 courses for £10. A bit disorganised today, loads of customers due to unexpected warm day in February. But 5 stars, helpful staff doing their best. Will go again.
R. T.
Very nice food, great FOSTERS, b back,
T. P.
Lovely atmosphere. Nice food an variety of drinks. AM David is such a great person. Fully recommend if you wan to have a great time in country side pub.
D. D.
Stopped here for Saturday lunch. Two children, a teen and two adults. Lovely place, friendly staff and excellent food. Not many can manage a good veggie burger and pulled (pretend) pork nachos! Would thoroughly recommend.
D. C.
Really enjoyable had food and drinks in the garden. Everything done safely. Food very tasty and served in good time. Not too busy which was nice as we just walked in.
J. L.
Good food friendly staff but not pleased about the wine they would not allow you to have a taster even though I did not recognize the wines on the list. The sub manager said it was Marston's policy and he could not offer a taster. This is ridiculous how can you order a large glass when you do not know what it's like. So I had a small glass instead of a large glass so we both lost out. This is the first pub that would not allow me to taste a wine when they could not give me my usual drink. Very disappointed with this silly decision.
J. h.
Not the 'village pub' we were hoping for. Very much a chain pub with characterless menu. No bad points, just not what we were looking for.
S. R.
It was very busy after a long bank holiday, so this is a forgiving review, but there were problems. We arrived and there was almost no parking (we had to park half in a space and half on a bit of grass clearly designed not to be parked on, because some tiny little car had decided to park in the middle of two spaces).
The pub was half full, as we came toward the end of lunch, and all the empty tables still had the previous customers greasy plates on them. We had to clear them ourselves, as no barstaff were around to do it.
When ordering, many requested items were 86. We had to re-chose for two of our meals.
The bar staff were friendly and professional. The food was pretty good for that sort of standard pub fair. Reasonably priced as well.
Been before, would go again, but maybe on a Friday and not a bank holiday Monday if I want to be sure I get what I want off the menu.
D. B.
A really nice pub with good food and atmosohere. Fire places and lots of seating. Has a good sized garden although could do with a little more shade ... Perhaps a shuffle about and parasols. A good sized car park tucked around the back. Seems to have lots of history and apparently the remains of a naughty nun and monk under a tree in the garden... Expalins the occasional cold chill! Worth a visit.
:. :.
Lovely food and amazing service only reason for not getting a 5 star is because of the table outside having some bird feeders on it
k. p.
Nice cosy pub. Big rear beer garden. Comfortable friendly. Only thing against the pub is the bar food service. Just need to pay attention to the orders and service. Apart from that worth a quiet beer in a relaxing atmosphere
L. M.
One of the loveliest pubs around the area with really lovely staff, unfortunately the food although nice enough is not what you would expect from a beautiful pub like this.
L. F.
Thanks to Max and all the Team at the Bull who made our daughters 21st celebration meal fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere. Food lovely . Coming back for lunch next time we are in your area. 😁😁
G.
I want to the pub, a couple weeks back now and boy oh boy, didn't I have a good time! I began off my lovely evening with a luxurious meal, filling my stomach with joy. Washing it down with a delicious swig of my coke a cola, complimenting the meal very ideally. Moving onto the staff (the main reason I am giving this place 5 stars). I was served by a lovely young gentleman, Sam; I believed that was his name. He was very kind and catering towards me, If that staff member wasn't working there, I don't think I would have been so eager to return.
T. V.
We stopped for a well deserved rest after cycling 44 miles of the top half of the Ridgeway from Ivinghoe Beacon. Excellent choice of beverages and food. Great gin choices too. Friendly staff and good service.
J. J.
Meal book for group of 10, 5 of the guests wanted steaks, very disappointed No steaks available!
This was a special treat for all so not happy about that at all.
Nice atmosphere, and good service.
Very busy this particular night( a .Friday) and had problems parking our cars.i
Excellent food priced fairly.
b. w.
Always warm and friendly, lovely to relax and enjoy good drink and food at very reasonable prices
L. I.
Booked for Mother's Day. Mum doesn't like roast dinners, but cooks them for the family anyway. This was a chance for her to have her menu choice, as the full menu at the Bull is usually fairly extensive. Unfortunately on arrival, only Sunday Roast was available. This was not advised on booking. Staff would not accommodate any other options. Roast was adequate, but came fully plated, including the veg and gravy, which was rather disappointing. It was all very average and felt like it was not freshly prepared.
a. s.
A small group, out enjoying the sights of Streatley. The hospitality and quality of food was great. Very friendly staff who were very accommodating and looked after us very well.
I would highly recommend this pub and the restaurant.
P. A.
Pleasant staff, though seemed surprised that breakfast was required as early as 8am (so not much use to the early riser) and there was no menu. It seems to be Full English or nothing. Great for walkers and those that can leave by 08:30 without breakfast; not so good for business users.
The room was small but comfortable and adequate (room 5) – clean, though could have benefitted from a little dusting. The food generally was ok and especially good on curry night, and the beer and bar service were excellent.
The location is busy, but with rooms at the back it was surprisingly quiet and the surrounding area is lovely.
Overall, nice little place but perhaps a touch pricey for what it offers and is definitely better suited to those on holiday than on business.
R. 1.
Nice Pub🍺
D. H.
We went for the curry night. Very tasty for a pub curry. Nice warm atmosphere. The waitress did manage to spill coffee over me , very apologetic but didn't knock the coffee off the bill.
J. T.
Exactly what we were looking for after a NYD hike...great menu, friendly staff
M. L.
Good old fashioned pub. Staff very friendly, food not to bad.
A. D.
Comfortable, great beer garden. Local feel despite beer company owners. Nice food, wait staff could be more attentive. Order at the bar and you're fine.
R. S.
Great food here and great staff. The portions are a bit smaller than you expect but it is still filling. I had to order dessert to see if it was just as good. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys good cooked food.
B.
Top place for a beer and some grub. Nice atmosphere and staff always friendly.
M. H.
Excellent food and very good value for money with great surroundings
K. B.
We had a Sunday lunch here, friendly service, a bit slow but the roasts we ordered were hot and cooked well. Good value for money. Will visit here again.
S.
Good food. Staff are very friendly
B.
Really nice rooms and comfy beds, the food in the restaurant was really nice and tasty too. We made a mistake with our booking but they were more than happy to amend it. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
R. S.
The hospitality was welcoming, but the room was not completely ready. I had to go back and ask for soap for the shower. I later found out that, although there is a tv in the room, there wasn't a remote for it. Also, I felt like it lacks in privacy, as the windows and glass doors are only covered by a loose curtain and overlooking a garden, where people pass by all the time.
d.
Great food, friendly staff and felt very safe with all the covid procedures.
Love how cosy the pub felt .. we love coming here!
k. p.
Gorgeous food and great service. Run out of horseradish but that's cus everyone wants horseradish sauce lmao. Will be coming again and again and again
D. S.
Came in right after the kitchen closed but the Chef took pity on me and although unable to cook anything he agreed to make me a sandwich.
Besides starving after not eating all day they let me hang out and enjoy the meal.
The sandwich was very good... and I'm not saying that because I was hungry.
Whenever I'm back in Goring/Streatley area I'll definately return.
P.
Had lunch after a short walk from Lardon Chase. Dog and people friendly - all the staff appear to like running a pub.
Lovely open fire and great value for money lunch menu.
T. N.
Good atmosphere, food was excellent. The Vegan pie on the specials menu was the best I've ever tasted
G. M.
Best vegan burger with BBQ jackfruit. Lovely open fire. Dog friendly with water and treats. Some pub games scattered around. Definitely recommend
D. M.
The evening we went it was not staffed enough.
On arrival no one advised use here to sit or why we were haninf around the entrance. And with no signage to advise where to stand etc we were confused and no staff to ask.
So we found a table ourselves and queued at the bar to advised there booking had arrived.
However when we did get seeb by "Freddy" he said they were a bit under it and made nice chit chat to calm us as we were getting impatient.
The food was very nice and we had a nice tucked away table too that we chose.
It was overall a lovely place so you won't be disappointed.
B.
During a cycle ride the Bull was a well located stop-over. Staff very welcoming, friendly and accommodating with bicycles, however no designated bicycle shed. Cosy location in a picturesque village. Ample parking for cars. Room well equipped, comfy bed. En suite felt antiquated however overall impressed. Excellent full-English breakfast. We would definitely stop over again if passing through :-)
O. A.
Wow! Amazing menu 😍
S.
Made very welcome and service is superb.
K. C.
Visited today for the first time . Great pub, great location, great staff, wonderful food, the vibe is lovely, I have nothing to fault x
A. S.
Overall, it was ok but the starters seem a bit strange. Sauteed mushrooms came in a cereal bowl, chopped into tiny pieces. I'd expected small whole mushrooms with a piece of nice bread. The chicken goujons consisted of about 4 chicken nuggets and a tiny pot of ketchup served in what looked like a metal pie dish. The fish pie starter was straight out of a packet. The mains were good. We had steak and chips, fried halloumi, veggie burger. Puddings bought in.
D.
Very nice building in a beautiful location. Has been refurbished unsympathetically and has stand 'chain' style pub grub. Nothing wrong with it, just average 3 stars.
M. S. (.
Good value ...small menu but simple pub grub...!
p. w.
What a lovely village pub, they have a beautiful open fire and there dog friendly. The manager Derek always goes above and beyond to make ur stay perfect.
D. C.
Covid safe friendly service good pub food and decent beer marquee outside plus open air tables nice atmosphere
W. H.
Absolutely brilliant food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
J. M.
Had a lovely roast dinner, perfectly cooked vegtables. Unfortunately you can only have the chicken if you want a gravy free roast.
J. C.
Excellent value. Basic menu but good quality and service.
M. C. (.
Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff and delicious food in a spacious and pleasant beer garden. Exactly what the doctor ordered after a long day's walk!
J. H.
Very attractive exterior to this pub, apparently dating to the 13th Century. Inside that heritage is disappointingly less evident, with a rather bland modern refurb some time in the last decade which has stripped it of any real charm. But I suppose we should just be thankful it is still a going concern. I'm told my Grandparents came here about half a century ago, so the place has a special significance for me.
L. B.
Lovely place to stay staff are friendly the rooms was warm and cosy and really cheap which was surprising as it was such an outstanding pub
P. J.
A fabulous ancient pub - mentioned in Three Men In A Boat I believe! - in a glorious location. The steep hill behind it provides great views over the village and Goring on the other side of the Thames.
P. C.
Very good value for money. We were made to feel very welcome. Service was of a high standard and excellent food.
M. G.
Busy pub, park of a chain, with big beer garden. Unfortunately that’s what the ground floor door and window opened directly onto this scene, which was not ideal. Room fine, old style, small bed, did the job.
M. R.
Lovely pub, only had a quick drink, the service was excellent will definitely return.
C.
Fantastic staff, great food & accommodation.
g. r.
Lovely pub and friendly staff
B. S.
Well sheltered garden terrace, nice cheerful staff. Drinks a bit pricey tho

Great food , excellent management and the atmosphere was first rate, and very reasonable prices
P. B.
Stayed there the night while walking the ridgeway and the service was warm and friendly. The food was great and the rooms were very comfortable and seperate from the pub / resteraunt.
A. T.
Great food great beer well mannered staff
T. P.
The food is bought in, but acceptable quality for a cheap meal. Staff are friendly. Nice atmosphere. Nice garden.
G. W.
Great beer, good service, and tasty burger. What more could you ask?
N. W.
Really authentic local English village pub with a lot of charm. Don't expect a London gastro pub style though as this is the real deal.
R. D.
Lovely pub. The fish & chips are scrumptious! Also has a lovely beer garden🤗
a. w.
Lovely lunch great atmosphere..will definitely visit again.
U. S.
Nice enough place, with ok food, but very slow service. One star detracted because the pub has a slot machine.
J. P.
