The most welcoming and friendly pub I have ever been too, and I've been to a few! Great banter from the locals, superb landlord, lovely rural setting, nice outside garden, excellent pub food ( big portions) at such a great price, what u waiting for? Highly recommend

Wandered in for a drink to find a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We didn't try the food but it had a good menu with some old favourites like Liver & Bacon on there. We went on a Monday evening and it was quiet apart from some friendly regulars. It was great to be able to go to a pub and fall into interesting conversations with people you were meeting for the first time. It's been years since we have done that. Will definitely go back.

Very nice small pub. We had booked for 6 adults 2 highchairs and room for a pushchair. When we got there the table was set for 5 adults and 1 highchair so we had to sit on 2 separate tables. Otherwise food was very nice.

Great friendly pub . Everyone including the owner(Carl), man behind the bar (David) and the patrons were super friendly. Frequented by locals , you can expect good food and nice ales. Reasonably priced as well .

Super friendly country pub just outside Reading. Will be back soon, and certainly to sit in the garden in summer. Good selection of local ales and snacks to help the beer go down.

Great country pub with a good selection of beers and local ciders.
Garden, parking and fires in winter.

The folks who run the pub and the patrons were such nice people. The beer was good as was the food. Massive portions, great value for money. The pub shows live sports. Most of the people at the pub seemed to be regulars, and understandably so. Did meet Teddy, the publican' s dog!

Got invited here just a couple of weeks ago, & I don't drink anymore, but its lovely country pub. Very polite, welcoming friendly staff. Very dog friendly, which is why i took up the invite. Had food there on the second visit, lovely meal, my partner loved hers too. My only nag is alcohol free lager is so dear, but that's everywhere, as it's only sold by the half pint bottle.
Gripe over 😄 go & pay them a visit.

Traditional old pub with an excellent Sunday lunch all home made.
