S. B.New to the area , me and my boyfriend thought we would try our local pub. Upon arrival, landlord of the pub Wayne made us feel really welcome. The atmosphere overall is really great and they do super yummy food... I recommend the burgers !!!! Pints are also surprisingly cheap, all the staff are so upbeat and lovely. Sunday night pub quizzes are a good laugh, everyone gets included. Would definitely recommend to anyone ! :)

D. K.I am always impressed with the food here and staff is very friendly. The only thing I am not very happy about is the cleanliness of the tables and outside area, but then it is understandable that when it's busy the staff just can't find the time, so I wouldn't point this as something bad. If you have the chance definitely order a burger, they are amazing!

T. B.The staff at the roses especially the managers Wayne and Naomi look after my family and I every time we visit. New members Dave and Reece have settled in quickly and greet me every weekend. We love watching the sports and doing the weekly quiz. I always feel my granddaughter is in safe hands if she is down there with her friends because Wayne always looks out for people's safety and welfare. He'd proud of his venue and his team.

M. P.It's a local boozer, for local people, but they don't mind when outsiders come to visit.
It's not really a pub that I would think anyone that doesn't live in the near vicinity would say "do you fancy going to the seven red roses".
A friend lives around the corner, so we would go in after work for a beer and to play darts.
Had a few off pints of ale served, but never had an issue with the staff taking them back, and recently had one of the staff actively not give me a pint that looked dodgy.
No idea whether the kitchen has changed since I last ate there, mid 2021, so can't comment on the quality currently. But I'm not in a hurry to risk it.
Happy to have a beer if I'm around that way.

We made a booking at this pub for the Euro 2020 finals and I was blown away.
Incredible and friendly service from staff, always checking up on patrons making sure their needs were met.
The manager/owner was an absolute legend, made us feel so welcome and at home. This pub is managed and run very well - especially for a bit of a chaotic night and with all restrictions in place.
Definitely would go back again.

E. T.I came in Monday afternoon after work for a quiet drink with some co workers and was surprised but how wonderful this pub was! Annette was working that morning and she was very polite and conversational. We will definitely be coming back!
E. _.I went that on a Wednesday evening, whilst it wasn't too busy it was a relaxed environment. Food and drinks are a good value and there's a mobile phone app which you can pay on if you feel a little anxious or too drunk to leave your seat! Staff are lovely and it has events too
c. t.I went to the 7 Red Rose's last night to see Gary Roman (Elvis) this was the first times my friends and I had been there everybody was so friendly, the Landlord and his staff were excellent we were served at our table with drinks although we could have gone to the bar if we had wanted to.
The locals were also extremely welcoming we really had a great night and will most certainly be returning very soon.

l. h.just moved to lower Earley from Portsmouth and what a treat to have found a great little pub near my new home that does nice food , cold beer and shows all the sport . came in Sunday and watched the end of the Ryder cup. i sat with the landlord for a while , nice fella and his staff were amazing , table service was very welcoming.
A.I call in most weekends for a drink when out for a walk with my daughter. The premises are very well maintained and inviting, with splendid hanging baskets which brighten the frontage. Wayne and his team are always friendly and welcoming and the draught ales always served in top condition.

l. w.We went to the Drum and Base night on Saturday and what an amazing Atmosphere , the team were involved , the regulars were very friendly and i must say the music was brilliant. even when we went outside for a smoke they had the tennis live for outside viewing . P. H.Regular visitor to this great pub in lower earley. Wayne the manager is a great traditional landlord that looks after his regulars always making them feel welcome everyone. This type of landlord seems to be seldom found these days. All the staff that Wayne has got working for him are also excellent (Izzy,Alex) and work tirelessly to serve you and always have a happy smile for you. Going through the covid times everything was in place for your visit to feel safe so you can enjoy yourself without worrying etc. I highly recommend this pub. Top draw.
j. f.watch the footy on tuesday , annette was great , what service , always smiling , table service was amazing during the game. she spoke with all the guest she made the whole night relaxing for everyone , the other member of staff was also very good . annette and the other girl worked as a great team. i must admit the chicken wings i ordered 20 of them were some of the best i have ever had especially the hot sauce .

The drinks are lovely, food is good, COVID-19 safety regulations are brilliant and they staff are so nice!
Since we have been going there we have became pretty close with Jonathan who works there and he is a amazing! Quick service, great quality drinks and just a genuine good and funny guy to be around.
We always look forward to seeing him there, he has pretty much became another brother to us!
10/10 would recommend!

N. H.The Seven Red Roses has been my local for years and has always been a fantastic pub for atmosphere and watching sport.
The lads and me dropped by today for the United vs Chelsea game and for someone who has barely been out since the lock down started, I was really impressed with how safe it felt Covid wise. Wayne the landlord has really taken the restrictions seriously and enforces the rules to the letter.
The girls on the bar were fantastic, dealing with even my rowdy lot with a continous level of fantastic service.
One thing I would definitely bear in mind though, book a table. If we hadn't today then there would have been no way to fit all 6 of us in.

N.It's a small open plan pub for people that like dull boring football or other boring sports like golf thats pumped around the building with various screens all different types of people mainly locals and regulars. There is an outside smoking area that consists of two large barrels to stand around with your If you go there you will normally be asked do you know Dave the roofer and when you say no they will say really you don't know Dave the roofer that sort of pub.
