The place is accessible. Lots of activities such as Mini golf, Dart and Bowling- you can have drinks too! We came here for a birthday surprise event. So , we started at 1500 and added some balloons just by the dart dividers. The dart section was really enjoyable! Lots of choices for darts from classic dart, robinhood and many more! Around 1700- we transferred to the mini golf and we had fun as well- very competitive friends! 😂 the staff kindly took a group photo of us and also, held on the cake in their freezer before we gave the surprise cake to the birthday celebrant. Around 1800 - we then transferred to the bowling area- we had 2 lanes and still, very competitive! We really had fun and we were also catered by the staff. Will definitely go back here soon! And recommend this place for fun and games! 😊 Ps. You have to book in advance for the game areas. 😉

We really enjoyed our evening playing crazy golf. It absolutely no social distancing possible as it was quite busy. The golf was good value for money but the drinks expensive which would prevent this being a regular night out. The staff that we dealt with where super friendly and we had a good time. I would recommend going here as they also have bowling and darts.

Wouldn't of known this was here unless a cheeky Google search told me so. Went here on a random day off with a mate, and unfortunately the gold itself was a little short of expectation, in that there were a lot of holes in a small amount of space. However, the bowling lanes were pretty sweet & the bar was neat & tidy. Plan to visit again & check out the darts board & see how it compares to Flight Club in London...so maybe I'll up my score. If you intend to go for some crazy golf, lower your expectations as it's a little small & better suited for young children.

The bowling looks alright. Darts looks fun too and decent price, would defo go back for it. The crazy golf was not crazy golf. Decorations were a bit lame, see photo for the singular welly boot from Joules on one of the 12 holes. And see photos for the running water with no health and safety hazard warnings on the slippery surface you see there. And £9.50 per person? Not worth it. For my friends with physical disabilities, the "crazy" golf course is not wheelchair friendly or anything.

Great for an evening with friends; decent facilities, well situated within Reading, and wheelchair accessible. Spinners offers guests the opportunity of playing darts, bowling, and mini golf, or just drinks at the bar. The two bowling lanes were okay, and the dart boards seemed good, but the mini golf was more frustrating than it was enjoyable due to the near-impossible holes golfers had to aim for. Spinners is okay for an evening out if you don't mind playing for a bit of fun.

I was a little concerned about going due to the pain of booking. This was initially due to the annoying system not letting you book two lanes at the same time. Nobody was answering the phone or email (tried for a week or so). In the end, we went in to book. The poor staff were rushed off their feet as there were only two of them (due to staff shortage). They couldn't book two lanes either, and had to telephone a manager. Eventually, it was sorted, but I became aware of the Really Loud music. Considering it was a family celebration for my sons 21st, I was concerned that we couldn't speak to each other, and some family would hate it. Anyway >>>> things improved. The communication became helpful. On the day, the music was at a good level and everyone had a really great time. The darts are electronic and have different games to choose from. Annoyed we chose classic 501 as nobody could finish. Killer would have been better (although I had no idea how to start, and was knocked out before I got my next turn). If you don't know the games, do a little research 😀

Looks like a great new place but the group I was with did not pre-book. Security let us have a generous look around tho. Smaller than I imagined & was a little shocked that it is in fact a bar with 2 lanes of bowling. NOT a bowling alley.

Fun little place to spend an hour or so. The girlfriend and I have played a few courses recently and we quite enjoyed this one. Staff were helpful and friendly. Looks pretty cool inside, the decor gives a good vibe. The actual mini-golf course was ok. Very well athesthetically put together with several interesting features. That said, the holes were very short and only 12, I'd expect 18 for the fee charged. Several of the holes are mounted on a mole hill which is almost impossible to pot a ball into with any real skill - one mole hill would be fun, currently far too many. £7.10 for 2 cokes... really? Could be a brilliant venue 👌 but a few changes needed I'd say. We recommend going once but probably not a return on the cards anytime soon.

We booked a night of bowling and crazy golf at Spinners for 26 people, our first group outing since lockdown. From enquiring to booking and on the night, Amy and the team were amazing. Everything was so well organised, the staff were friendly, efficient and made sure our night went without a hitch. We placed a very large order for pizzas and garlic breads for all to share including the vegan and vegetarian choices and they all came out hot and very tasty. Everyone had a great night and we will definitely return. Thanks to everyone for making our night! Just what we all needed.

Our experience here was not so great. Firstly, we waited for 50mins to get to our pre-booked slot. Then the pin machine was running into issues every now and then. They had to come and fix it atleast 5 times in our 40mins slot. We weren't offered any apology for the inconvenience neither a discount/voucher or any thing else to compensate. If you are only going for Bowling go to Hollywood Bowl instead !!

Good fun, but the using a pen and paper feels a bit outdated for minigolf and it can feel like a tight squeeze moving around the course when you have a larger group. A manned cloakroom would have been nice.

Had a great time here with family. We booked for the bowling and mini golf. The bowling was great fun. The mini golf was fun, but a little pricey for what you are getting I believe. The holes are very short, but understandable given the space available. I would have preferred if they had gone for 9 holes and used up more space for some individual ones. Very Nicely decorated though. The drinks were very nice, but the service was below par. I would expect to be greeted with a bit of a smile and a staff member who is keen to help customers and seems genuinely interested to be there. Instead it seemed like they were very disengaged from beginning to end. It’s still a new place so hoping some of these things are sorted and just teething issues. Will definitely visit again and try out the darts and food next time.

Small and could be quite intimate venue downstairs under the Broad Street Mall. Pictures make the crazy gold look quite a bit area. Instead it's tiny. However still good fun. 12 holes on the gold course, some really difficult tbh. Drinks not too expensive behind the bar thankfully.

Great new place in reading. Bowling is bit naff because there are only 2 lanes and the pins are all attached with strings. But the darts is the best choice with an amazing deal of 5£ pp. Crazy golf is alright as well. Staff are friendly and the drinks are good. A bit pricey overall but worth it every now and then.

Was here in the day. It is a good place to relax. You can play golf, bowling and darts here. There is also a bar for drinks and enough tables to sit too. It is in a good location too

I visited spinners with a group of friends and played bowling and virtual darts which was really fun. I had never played virtual darts before then but the staff were really helpful in explaining it & getting it all set up. When finished, we stayed for pizzas & cocktails which were delish (the gone trufflin' pizza is amazing!) Would highly recommend if you're looking for a fun night out thats different!

Interactive darts were a lot of fun, however there were a few things I would change: 1. Charging per person per hour is A. Unfair and, B. Makes no business sense (more customers sharing a dart board = more revenue from food and drink). 2. The interactive darts system should include food and drink ordering - I spent less at the bar than might otherwise have, because when you are paying per person per hour, why would you waste your time at the bar. 3. The darts weren't great. I'd recommend bringing your own, or atleast some flights. A set of flights is about 50p, they could give a new set with every rental. 4. The automatic scoring system sometimes did not record a dart, there should be a manual override. This could be logged, to aid maintenance.

Nice place, golf area smaller than expected but a run 12 holes, completed in ~20 minutes (2 players). Very friendly and approachable staff. Excellent pizza. Worth popping in and trying out, especially if meeting people. Would go again.

Came here and did all three activities and was very impressed! Robin and the team were super friendly; there was a delay in the bowling due to other customers turning up late to their sessions (maybe a rule could be introduced about that?) however we were more than happy to have a drink and chill; the staff even went as far as giving us a drink on the house for the small 15 minute delay! Will definitely be back and recommend to everybody!

This is a gem that Reading has been needing! We had a really fun evening! There was a small group of us, but would also be perfect for a date night or families. The staff were friendly and helpful, and definitely didn't lack the professionalism another review had claimed. Time absolutely flew by, the activities were great fun, especially the interacitve darts and the food and drinks were also very nice. We will definitely be coming back - thanks for having us!

Came to spinners with a group of friends for the evening and had a fantastic time! The place is really well decorated and looks amazing. Loved the atmosphere as well! The staff were all really friendly and super helpful, always checking that everything was ok, talking us through how the activities worked and bringing food and drinks to our table! We played one game of bowling, an hour of darts and one round of crazy golf and were there for a good 3 hours and could have easily stayed longer! Would be a great place for a date or a good place to start a night out! Will definitely be back!

Went for the darts which was a great assortment of different games and we had fun playing them and would definitely go again. Points for improvement: was a bit unorganised; staff greeting us by saying someone will be over soon, then another couple of staff passing us before we got served and then sorting out half our booking before walking away halfway through and another staff member coming and saying can I help you, bit random. It seems to be up to you to find what dart board you're to play on and kick the people off before when they don't leave the area after their allotted slot, we did this and then by 5 past the hour had to then go ask for the code to start our session which we weren't given. I then asked the member of staff if we'd still get a whole hour and they assured us we would, which we knew wasn't correct because the tablet literally said 6-7pm, which was not the time we started playing at due to the faff, and it did then cut off at 7 so we did underplay. So a few, hopefully, teething issues, darts technology was fun, good price activity and drinks and I'd like to go again. Also really nice to see someone making this sort of place not just in London!

This place has great potential! 5* for staff and customer service. Things to improve: WiFi If you buy an hour, you get an hour bowling. Even if the next game is a few goes. Customer service from the manager is great. Red headed bar staff was excellent.

Friendly but a little understaffed. The young lady working was having to act as waitress and bar person. Food service was too slow and out of sync with order times - I ordered my pizza well before the rest of the group but received after. Also one of our group doesn't eat pork, requested the pizza without the nduja sausage, received it with salami that wasn't mentioned on the menu. The bowling itself is fine enough. Word of warning, don't pause too long between your throws as it will count as a 0 and go on to the next person.

What a hidden jewel! It's location absolutely doesn't reflect the magic inside!! A small venue with a ton to do! The Mini golf is just that!! Mini! Each hole has a name and has its own gimmick! Drinks are fairly priced and staff working hard to make sure you have a good stay!! I highly recommend this for a night out!!

Had a really great time at spinners! Had to call to say we were running late and they were really accommodating. The bowling was such a laugh (I should have taken the option for bumpers) and we were never without a drink in hand as the service was so great! Everyone who was working was genuinely fantastic and I can’t wait to return for many more nights out!

This is the place that Reading has been crying out for! I went for a date night out and it was perfect and saw lots of other couples also there so perfect for this but can also see it being a great night out with friends. The staff were all lovely and the crazy golf was very fun considering it was indoors and in an inclosed space I thought it was really good and had great decoration (not sure what the other reviewers expected?) Drinks were absolutely lovely (although they had sold out of a lot due to a busy opening week) only downside was that the music was a tad too loud so conversation was difficult, and the garlic bread was Very garlicky, but overall a really good venue and fun evening out and a great addition to the town.

The place is really well decorated, it’s a bit expensive considering it only takes you 20 minutes for golf and 20 minutes for bowling which isn’t really that long, but other than that it’s a nice little place. The only downside to our visit is that we walked in and asked the female staff member with blonde in the front of her hair where we had to go for the gold that we’d booked in advance. Instead of explaining to us that you had to go and check in at the bar and get the golf clubs etc from there, she didn’t say anything and just pointed in the direction of the mini golf course. I get it’s Sunday but do I have knob written on my head? Other than that, all the other staff members were really really nice and we’ll be making a reappearance for sure :)

Played Crazy Golf... It's ok, although very small holes. Would be worth a couple of quid extra if you're there for a drink but not much else. Fun, all the same. Aside from that, proper miserable staff, which is a shame, and not great options on the bar. That wasn't helped by having literally no draught options apart from Grolsch on, which I discovered from asking for everything but that, and being told "don't have that". Here's an idea, reply to the first request with "we only have Grolsch". The place feels like it would be a decent night out though, albeit maybe a pricey one.

Visited the Spinner bar in Reading for a night of darts and drinks and had the best time. The atmosphere was amazing and the stafqf were very accomondating.we had a really enjoyable vist which was made easier by the staff who made the transition between activities and the overall experience smooth whilst also accommodating to my specifife request for cocktails.
