Excellent choice of craft beers and a selection of decent and well kept real ales. Laid-back environment, friendly staff and they're knowledgeable about the beers. Menu is on Untappd which is very useful. Would happily recommend.

Amazing place. Travelled down from Newcastle and after a short walk from the centre we ended up in a friendly bar with great welcoming staff. They have an extensive selection of beers on draft as well as in the fridge but so many we couldn't get through them all in the 4 hours we were there, just means we will have to go back. If you are in the area you should check it out, they are on untapped so you can check out what they have beforehand.

An awesome cross between that bar from Cheers and the best range of beers known to mankind. The bar staff there are really great. Not just for a chat, but also with suggesting what beers to try and what stuff you might like. It's like getting a guided brewery tour, suggesting different beers that are appropriate for different parts of the night. Check out the menu online, I cannot read that menu and not be excited.

Interesting place, has a nice variety of beers. Keenly surprised, is good to go with some pals. You can also try the beers before getting them, what actually is very nice to decide yourself. And there are board games to play with. So good place for a Friday night plan if you don't fancy clubs

Superb proper pub! Absolutely loads of fabulous beers of every style and taste and all looked after by the lovely Liz who was an excellent welcoming host and incredibly knowlegeable. A must see beer stop if you're up for a pint in Reading.

Really nice hidden gem. Very knowledgeable and friendly bar staff and a good, big selection of drinks. Just annoyed I didn’t visit sooner! Well worth a visit and only 10 mins from the town centre. 👍🏻

Sincerely splendid venue for sampling seriously sumptuous beers. Wild weather have been experimenting with outrageously unique and wonderful creations for years. It's great to see them spread their wings and crack their first proper tap room. What an improvement to an aging corner pub! Go for the funky atmos', stay for the extensive selection from light and easy drinking to dark and strong sweet deliciousness. Definitely a location worth seeking out for a self respecting beer aficionado.

Brilliant bar. Always a great selection of craft beer, a warm welcome and great vibes. The staff are great too, especially Kane who is simply the friendliest and best barman you'll ever meet. Really knows his stuff about beer too which always helps! HIGHLY recommended.

Absolutely cracking pub just outside the town centre, previously The Eldon Arms. And yes, it is a craft beer brewpub, home to the brilliantly bonkers Wild Weather Ales. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, the beer covers all tastes (who knew the world needed a banana milkshake IPA?!), and they even have a bit of a gentlemen's agreement with Honest Burgers (if you ask nicely, the staff will give you a discount code for them via Deliveroo). There's a fridge full of guest beers and ciders, and a decent stock of spirits if you don't fancy one of the many ales on tap or draught. They have live music sometimes, and I'm pretty sure I spotted a load of board games. It's dog-friendly too. Yes, it's a 'young' pub, and the music tends towards pop-punk, but it's definitely worth a visit - especially if you fancy trying something a bit different in the beer stakes.

Great pub with cask key cask and craft beers. Excellent pub tried alot all good favourite was Wild Weather Spruce Almighty 11% IPA drinks easy belies it's strength . Highly recommended.

This little gem of a pub is tucked away to the east of the town centre. With 20 Keg lines and three Cask lines you will not struggle to find a beer you like. The staff are very friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, and will happily help you make a decision. Their beer list is also on Untappd, so incredibly convenient for me to get notified when a new beer comes on!!!

Great pub with super friendly and attentive staff, a really chilled atmosphere and loads of choice for beers. I'm not a beer drinker, but was really pleased with the cider options available as well. Would definitely not have guessed it was in a little residential street so its a bit of a hidden gem!

Just stopping in for a pint. Very well organised to cope with Covid. As safe as things can be for a relaxed pint. You will need a reasonably up to date phone to cope with QR scanning and apps, plus a mask for when you are not seated. But the pint was stunning, and the system cleverly thought through. Tables obviously being cleaned after people left. Respect for an establishment that has worked hard to adapt.
