What a great pub! Nice bright airy restaurant area. Comfy horseshoe shaped chairs. Spacious outside areas to sit and eat/drink. My lunch was a delicious king prawn linguini with generous portions and plentiful prawns. See pics! Massive size fish and chips cooked the way they should be! The other meal, and tasty wild mushroom risotto with blue cheese crumb. All very well presented and served by friendly staff. Mine was washed down with a decent half pint of Hobgoblin ale. Shame this pub isn't on my doorstep but we'll worth a visit.

Very nice and welcoming staff who are happy to chat if time allows. Bright and airy venue with plenty of seating, both inside and out. Be aware, that although this location is visible from the motorway... it's a rather convoluted journey to get here. Probably not a place I'd make a return journey too because of this. Prices are just north of average, but in general, acceptable. Decent menu.

We've eaten here a number of times and recommended it to friends. Unfortunately this time two of the four meals were in edible. Very happy to change the meal however the replacements then took about 30 minutes meaning our friends had finished their meals by the time the replacements had arrived. Such a shame

Fortunately we didn't mind given we had a lot to talk about, definately keep in mind if you're planning a quick meal! Quality and quantity of the food however was very enjoyable. We found the food worth the wait, and all of our party enjoyed their meal. Would come again if we knew service speed increased.

Excellent! Very cosy restaurant and bar area with fireplace. Good choice of specials and regular menu items; upmarket pub food. Lots of draught beers and ales, local and supermarket brands available. Really nice pub I'd be happy to have as my local, Although it's more of a restaurant than pub as more space is dedicated to tables in the restaurant.

Just popped in after a long walk in Nursling drink something alkohol free and I get a bottle of old mout cider it was good, the place was quiet and clean, recommended if you are nearby. Also good starting place to hike to Totton via the Test Valley.

Pigs in blankets.. lovely. And loads of them. Pork scratchings cold and hard.although the apple sauce was tasty. Risotto lovely, and so well thought thrpugh woth various textures added with crunchy walnuts and greens. steak pie meal huge. Pork belly..awful over cooked and tough. Fondant potatoe looked and tasted as if it had been cooked the day before. So 2 out of four meals absolutley stonking.. the other two, almost inedible. Staff very nice about feedback and reduced the price. Lovely atmosphere. Mixed feelings about the quality of the food. Prices in line with pub grub venues.

Very nice refurbishment of the pub they added a large dining area to the rear. Food was great we had a party of 9 and all said they would come again. Getting to the pub was a bit of a hassle as it sits on the corner of 2 motorway junctions so I had to drive past it to get back to it, but Google maps took me straight there.

Lovely restaurant and very helpful staff. We were a party of 4 plus 2 children. The restaurant was full but they found us a table under cover outside and as the evening wore on they brought over heaters to keep us warm. When a group left we were offered a table inside. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, no complaints at all. We had a lovely evening at the Four Horseshoes, definitely 5 star.

Nice food but a 50 minute wait for a half full restaurant. Very small portions too. Not value for money. Nice venue and friendly, if apologetic, staff. Recommend for people on a diet!

Beautiful, tasty rich food. Great value for your money. Plated Beautifully. Friendly staff. Really nice ambience. Only criticism is we attended with a baby who was sat in the highchair and the waitress put very hot plates infront of him to be passed to the person who ordered it and then done the same with with a pot of sticky toffee sauce which was extremely hot. Accidents can happen so quickly when it comes to little ones. So just something for the staff to be mindful of when placing hot food down at tables with children.

Known this pub for over 30 years and the recent overhaul is excellent. Draught beer is spot on and the food is real quality, not cheap but worth the extra. Staff were very attentive and we were served in good time, considering a few big tables had pre booked and arrived after us. Check out the gents😂

Lovely pub, food and atmosphere, we use often as we are close by but tried booking a table in the bar for Christmas eve but unable to take a booking, but only to find out on the night they are booked for regulars only. Hmm 🤔

Amazing meal. Good service and great food....Fennel, olive and spinach pie was out of this world Rhubarb sorbet was amazing and as a lactose intolerant diner it certainly didn't feel like the poor relation to the rest of the families desserts. Only quibble would be my standard one is that as someone who is lactofree I'd like not to always have to have the vegan option.

Lovely pub, nice interior and beer garden across the road. Can be a bit noisy in the garden due to the M27 being just a stone's throw from where you are supping but that's not the fault of the pub. Prices are - like most places these days - a tad on the high side, but for one or two pints in the sun The Four Horseshoes is recommended.

A great friendly pub serving quality food and ales at fair prices. Bonus is that they are dog friendly which makes things a lot easier. Very Covid aware so we could dine safely and without anxiety. Very clean and spacious inside. Worth a visit being just off the M27 albeit bit of a detour to actually get to it. Worth the trouble though.

Spent a wonderful afternoon in the sun at The Four Horseshoes, after pre booking for my wife's birthday, in the perfect rear patio area. We were allocated a time slot for our meal and able to have drinks beforehand in a relaxed environment. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I had the pork and chorizo scotch egg which was amazing, the steak as a main was super tender and cooked perfectly to my requested preference, the chips had a nice crisp exterior and fluffy inside. I had no room for dessert but went all out and opted for the sticky toffee pudding and the sauce was sweet, smooth and absolutely delicious. We have been to The Four Horseshoes many times before and it always leaves us happy, content and welcomed by all.

Been going to this place for over 20 years and the recent refurb has transformed the place. This is now the best pub in the area. Good food, friendly staff and decent beer although a bit limited on the draft ales (but very good to see they have Romsey Gold on tap!).

Very shocked at this place. Lovely decoration inside. Went for Sunday lunch and whilst you could detect the frozen roast potatoes it was a generally nice meal. Cheesey Cauliflower was a bit odd though as it had a very acidic taste to it. Either some type of pickeling or some thing had gone off. Would revisit and try their normal meals.

Four horshoes pub has been extend and a large dinning room to the back of.its wheelchair friendly and staff assifstance given if needed they get very busy so they take bookings for restaurant although they also serve meals in the public bar. Quality of food is superb and a great menu options. Large carpark outside a small wooden bridge to the pub.there is also a bar be cue and children's play area.I fully recommended the four horseshose to all age groups.

Impeccable service, nothing was too much trouble and smiles all round. Fantastic vibe. For the foodies out there... all our meals were cooked to perfection. Cleanest mussels I’ve eaten in 30years, steak was bang on, fish and fries were clean and crisp, pizza was fresh made and noodles hand made made delicious. Wine was served in my kind of glass. Nigel and Celia Pearn had the best takeaway fish and chips that we have had in years. The fish was perfectly cooked with crispy batter and the chips stayed crispy as well and were delicious. Everything was still hot when we opened the boxes. We will go back and strongly recommend it.

Good up Market food but service is slow. Prices are towards top end and Service needs to improve. We were told a 20 minute wait which ended up being a 50 minute wait. The food was good but the beef pie could have used a proper side of gravy rather than the teaspoon on the plate. Pub is spacious and modern with a high roofed extension on the back. I would give it another go, with caution.

My husband and I decided to go for lunch at The Four Horseshoes as we were in the area and were recommended it. We had a beef roast and a pork roast. The portion sizes are incredibly generous. I couldn't finish mine. It was absolutely delicious. You could choose to have one, two or three courses. I had one and my husband had the praline and hazelnut cheesecake for dessert. All the food was beautifully presented and we could take our dog with us. Dogs allowed in the bar area. Water bowls and dog treats. The toilets were lovely and clean and presented well too. All the staff were incredibly helpful, caring and proud. I would highly recommend a visit.

We had an excellent meal there mid week. We brought our dog so were seated in the bar section which was really nice. I hadn't been prior to the renovations but the new layout is bright and spacious. The food was fantastic and generous portion sizes. My wife and I ordered a side to share but ended up hardly touching it as the mains were enough. We all had the sundaes for dessert and they even put a candle in for my Father-in-Law's as we were there for his birthday. All told it was a great experience with excellent service and food.

Haven't eaten here yet but we're booked in. We came down the week of opening and had a lovely time just having drinks. They've done an amazing job rebuilding the venue and it looks so nice and welcoming. The staff were all cheerful and helpful, the food that I did see come out whilst we were having drinks looked really good so I can't wait to eat here. Garden areas looked really nice and there's plans to bring in a play area I believe. The pub is dog friendly in the bar area and gardens but not in the restaurant. Can't wait to come back

The new renovated restaurant looks lovely but there are some kinks here and there they need to work out which with time I'm sure they will. Initially they got my drink order wrong, the majority of the food was very nice but the meat was chewy and had a fair bit of fat still on. When the bill came they charged us for things we didn't order but that was resolved quickly. The restaurant has real potential, I think they're still finding their feet though.

On 2nd Dec I went with 4 friends for a Christmas menu meal,we always meet up at this time of year and we have tried many establishment's but all 4 of us agreed that the meal we had was the best we have ever had full compliments to the chef

As local residents we were not aware of the invite prior to the official opening back in July, so last night was our first ‘official’ visit. We had been down to look around after the work had been completed and were impressed with what had been achieved. Last night we were impressed with the ambience and the friendly staff. We ate in the bar as we had a four-legged friend with us and the staff made a fuss of him. They even brought a water bowl for him. The food was a bit disappointing, although the three starters we had were tasty. All four of us had the burger as the bar menu was very limited. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed with the burger. It arrived on a wooden serving tray (not sure of the official term) and was simply a burger in a bun with a bowl of chips. When questioned as to where was the salad, the response was ‘it is in the bun’. Half a lettuce leaf and two slices of tomato doesn’t constitute a side of salad. Also prices are a bit on the high side for bar food. I have given the review 3 out 5 because it is a nice pub, but the prices and the content of food served in the bar was very disappointing. So much so that I feel there is better value for money at the Horns which is close by, but appreciate there is a big difference in the internal decoration between the two pubs.

Had a fabulous takeaway from The Four Horseshoes last Friday evening. So simple to book and with allocated pick up times it’s perfect. We had the fish and chips x 3 and it was wonderful.
