Reviews of The Millers Pond Pub
A. E.
Good pub and lots of choice of lagers. One of very few pubs to sell Stella Artois.
M. R.
Nice beer, friendly atmosphere, the garden is excellent in nice weather.
D. W.
Quite on Saturday night but large garden and seating outside great on a summers day I guess
N. W.
Not normally my local, so it was a nice change. Great beer selection, Sport on the tv, and a fantastic outdoor seating arrangement with marque style tents.
Plenty of parking spaces too.
M. K.
Nice big garden area but drinks a bit pricy ...staff sometimes not so friendly
T. M.
Excellent meal in comfortable dining area. Always hot food, i think the best in the area. Good service, would recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.
R. F.
Brilliant boozer, great helpful bar staff. Plenty of outside seating if you don't fancy sitting inside.
Would definitely recommend for a quick pint or booking a party
H. B.
Tables are being book up quickly right now and I can see why. Recently redone garden is lovely.
They have their own app that you order through, and use track and trace diligently.
Had a pizza and some pints recently that was great. Pizza was quite cheesy, and didn't skimp on toppings. Pints were a tad pricey, but given the year the pubs have had, worth it.
M. P.
Friendly atmosphere 👍great place to have a beer in the sun

First time here in probably over 30yrs & hasn’t it changed!?
A lovely surprise as we entered the car park & saw the lovely garden & tiered decking.
It was a lovely September afternoon & the outside was busy with mainly families.
There was a one way system to go in & buy your drinks & a track n trace form to fill out, though this was voluntary, there was also plenty of sanitiser.
There was a sport theme going on with F1 photos & there are TVs on the wall so I assume an ideal place to come & watch a game or two.
We only ordered drinks so I can’t comment about the food.
A relaxing couple of hours sat chatting in the sun.
R. W.
Young staff member very friendly and helpful. Ordered the tapas everything excellent except the pork belly pork which was extremely fatty and uncooked and un edible. Complained and staff changed for another delicious tapas w
D. S.
Nice staff and really have made an effort with the garden. Unfortunately we were there on a Saturday night when its full of younger people and a massive brawl broke out which made all the sensible people drink up and leave. Needs security at weekends.
P. S.
Best recommendation made by friends. The Sunday Roast was spectacular from the meat being beautifully tender & cooked perfectly, the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were sublime along with a fab selection of veg. The gravy was lush! I love horseradish sauce and it did not disappoint. The Eaton Mess was the best I've had in a very long time. The staff were really lovely, very reassuring about their COVID policy and lovely to talk to. Thank you so much for a lovely medley out in a beautiful pub garden and we will be back to eat our way through their menus.
J. H.
Great pub, friendly staff and good local x
E. D.
Attended A wake here, the food provided was lovely as was the service.
J. H.
Food is okay and the beer is fine. Good one for locals.
C. W.
Go there every Wednesday night after 5 a side. Very friendly staff good beers. Good for when the football is on. Really good pub
A. B.
We sat in the heated tent great ventilation. Enjoyed our drinks
I. E.
Really good service. App is a bit of pain to use but once you get the hang of it was ok. Garden is lovely and good family atmosphere.
M. W.
They've obviously invested a lot to massively increase the outdoor seating with a permanent heated marquee, decking, additional outside bar and plenty of seating. The app to table service was a hit on our visit.
T. F.
This place is a pretty quaint, right near a nature reserve and great for a family day out. I don't go there as a family but can see plenty of happy families.
They've got your standard selection of pub drinks at more than reasonable prices and plenty of seats. Occasionally there's a drunk man who sings you what ever he is listening to on the Duke box. It's more comedy than irritating. Would recommend 10/10
M. S.
Very friendly staff, nice garden area
R. B.
Large selection of beers. Lots of space to sit outside under cover. Not cheap. Food is focused on Pizza, with some burger and tapas options.
A. W.
If you want to eat, they have only not the best and expensive pizza. Some of the staff not so friendly, I'm wearing an exemption card and she asked me to wear a face mask, when i want to use toilet only.

Looks nice inside now after an extensive modernising refit. The garden is huge with plenty of picnic style tables for customers to sit at along with a play area for kids so it would be quite good for families in the summer. However, the staff weren't the most welcoming I've come across, not much in the way of pleases and thank yous when I ordered our drinks which annoyed me as I think manners are important. Also, the regulars, who seemed to give my friend and I (a middle aged gay man and a middle aged woman smaller than most 10 year olds) a rather sneering once over, were a bit standoffish as well. They serve a decent variety of drinks, including some cask ales, but the prices, especially for a local pub, are, in my opinion, too high - no change from £10.00 having bought just two bottles of a popular cider compared with £6.00 change from £20.00 for four bottles of the same cider at another local pub in the area. I haven't tried the food at the Miller's Pond so I can't comment on that I'm afraid, but it didn't look bad. Overall my visit to the Miller's Pond was OK but I can't say I'll be hurrying back.
J. D.
really good experience. was served by James all night, really good bloke. top banter, will recommend to my friends. definitely coming back again, thank you for a good evening

Came here when I was asked to walk a friends dog, staff weren't too friendly, but customers were. I had a great time, but that was down to the atmosphere.

Very expensive but not that great. Big TV for football (not my thing). 1 G & T and diet coke £9.70, beer and a G &T £10.70. I've paid those prices in posh pubs in expensive parts of town.
