We had an amazing lunch today outside with the sun and music ! So much needed! The staff was super kind, polite and friendly. Highly recommend it!! Our lunch included two stakes cheese and garlic ciabatta bread coleslaw and peppercorn sauce. Just Yummmmmmyyyyyy!!!!

Had some great meals here when in Port Hamble but last visit wasn't good. To be fair 5 star every time before but this time really 1 star. Rump steak was awful not just tough but terrible quality. Chef cooked all food perfectly and was all hot even the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Good chef....bad butcher. We will be back and hope to have the usual good meal here

Very friendly and informative staff. They have a good one way system and hand sanitiser readily available. Good range of beers & ciders and the food was delicious! Great portion sizes for the price, too. Space for us to keep our bikes close and lots of tables outside, both in shade and some great sun spots, also! The draught lines tasted very clean and general hygiene inside was excellent. Definitely be back when we're in the area again!

Absolutely the best pub in Hamble, been going here for years, service and food always top notch. Can be very busy at times , but surly that's a good sign. Eaten here many times, today the other half had scampie and chips, I had breaded brie on bed a leaves with cranberry sauce. Never disappoints.

Excellent food in a charming English pub. A friend and I went for dinner and decided not to order a starter. This worked out for the best as had we had a starter, we would not have finished our main. I'd booked a table and was directed to one that had lots of beer rings on it where overfull pints had been sitting. We asked the barmaid to wipe it and she did so straightaway. The service was efficient and friendly.

A perfectly ok pub for a drink or two, food menu is classic pub food, although a little dated. Alcohol free beers limited to Heineken, no alcohol free craft or ale options.

Me my mother and the dog visited this beautiful pub, I have never walked into a pub and felt so at home, the staff were so attentive and helpful, i would recommend this pub to anyone that would like to feel like home from home. Met friends who i hadn't seen for about 20 years at the victory tonight where we had Sunday roasts, choice of 4 meats available loads of veggies very big meals. Sorry i didn't finish it all. Very friendly staff,nice atmosphere & location. Will be returning again.

Recently had lunch here. This is another stable place in Hamble where you can usually get good food and a good selection of ales and other drinks. The toilets have now been upgraded, but Jamie the owner has kept the village pub feel, which is part of the magic of this place. The menu is currently being upgrades with some new ideas. You wont leave hungry from here!

Visited here on weds 6th with my partner, our newborn my two neices and my parents. This pub is a nice looking REAL Traditional pub, and in our opinion the best pub/restaurant in the area. Staff were great the food prices were great and affordable and the food is good quality real homemade food and perfect portions. Fantastic place.

Great food, service needs some work Visited here for the second time since it changed hands, this time being a second chance for the place. Still very unimpressed with some service. In the previous visit we had to make numerous trips to the bar as despite being advised that there was table service the wait staff seemed to be too busy chatting or on their phones to serve. We had to ask multiple times for the bill and were even charged for drinks that we had ordered but had given up on as they never arrived. This time we had a lovely friendly waitress, food was good but again service was lacking. Our friendly waitress was otherwise engaged and replaced. We asked for the bill and the card machine in order to pay quickly. The waitress dropped off the bill and left, after a wait we had to ask another waitress to take our money and charge our cards. It's a shame that service needs to be polished as the food and atmosphere is great. Also Live music started as we were deciding whether to stay for another drink or leave. This was decided for us when the music started, despite being in the seated area upstairs the music was painfully loud.

Stopped here for lunch , lots of staff stood chatting before one came to serve us , no one wants to wait for service unless bar is rushed of their feet , sadly this wasn't the case. Girl who eventually served us was lovely . We ordered Ham egg and chips . Food was lovely but simple , no bread or butter served with it . Maybe because it was bank holiday the menu was limited . The Victory is lovely old pub with great character, the pub has decent size carpark and lots outdoor seating . I have been before and was far busier and atmosphere and service have been better so maybe just an off day on our visit.

I live next door to the victory and have don't for four years. it is one of the best pubs in the village. Food is really lovely homemade, good size, good price, they do the best moules I've ever had. Eaten there a lot and still don't get tired of the food.

It was our first time at The Victory Inn. You know what, we were pleasantly surprised, the food was very nice and service with a smile, not forgetting a reasonable priced menu. A laid back atmosphere with very chirpy staff made it a very nice evening out. Only downside is parking. But that would not stop us from going again.

I had been looking forward to eating in the Victory inn, as I had heard good things about it. But unfortunately it didn't live up to its reputation. I had the crab salad, the crab was lovely but it was a very poor salad with no imagination, just lettuce cucumber and tomatoes with tiny amount of onion. My favourite desert chocolate brownie was on the menu so was looking forward to it. But it was very soggy and looked and tasted undercooked. I sent it back they said that it was because it was a salted caramel choc brownie but I could not eat it so they 're embersed me. I won't be eating there again.

Well run and well kept traditional pub. Flagstone floor and exposed beams, with an abundance of interesting marine knick knacks on the walls to look at. Four cask ales: Ringwood Best and FortyNiner, DoomBar, and Thwaites Bomber. Good selection of food at reasonable prices. We had the lunchtime jacket potatoes - nicely done and attractively served. Pub is on two levels and is pleasantly roomy. Nice ambiance. Great service. Recommended. As Hamble village is very attractive, this is a pub worth making a detour for.
