Greyhound Penkhull Been here a few times for drinks and lunch Attended with family and was seated in the snug. Food was slow ( but bare with us) Was very nice and staff serving was very friendly Food was slow as homemade and was a large amount of us So highly recommend if you are on the fence to try the greyhound out Thanks for great food and service, will be attending again

We had Sunday lunch here with friends and we went for an evening meal too. It is a lovely pub. The restaurant is lovely and cosy. The food is very good, hot and good quality. The staff were all very friendly and very welcoming and efficient. Highly recommended and reasonably priced.

Great to get back into our local after so long. Been for drinks and a meal a couple of times the past 2 weeks, Allan and the team have done a brilliant job at making it Covid-secure. The food was as tasty as ever and the table service very efficient. Polite and friendly new waiting team, they are an absolute credit to the pub. Recommend booking in advance for meals to avoid disappointment 😀

Good range of beers. They even have alcohol free beer on tap for the non drinkers or the nominated drivers. Friendly staff and dogs are welcome which is good. Nice cosy pub and it's always nice for drink in the winter sitting by the fire. Great place to meet for a quick pint with friends/colleagues after work. Highly recommended

We stopped by for food in the evening and were not disappointed. The gammon in particular was exceptional. Loved the flame grill. The venue was very clean and welcoming. Both the bar staff and waiting on were fantastic. Food arrived in a good time not too long or short. Will certainly revisit.

Just to say thank you to all the staff for making my birthday lunch extra special ! I had the incredible Rump Steak : incredible in deliciousness as well as quality & quantity ( I defy you to find a 10oz steak this good, cooked to perfection & with very generous accompaniments for £10:95 !!) My friends had our usual favourites: various choices of burger which are equally fantastic & are bordering on famous in these parts & served with the similarly renowned chips. Most of the other diners were enjoying the traditional Sunday Lunch which, again, were equal in quality & quantity & looked delicious: one for next time, I think ! UPDATE: first post-lockdown meal, so glad to be back, like coming home ! Very safe but felt comfortable, too. Table service is fantastic. Also watched the footie in the beer garden, pity that wasn't as impressive 😂

Four of us booked in for Sunday lunchtime. Very welcoming staff and excellent service. A great selection of cuisine on the menu. We enjoyed sea bass, steak and ale pie with short crust pastry (there was option for puff pastry also) and fish n chips. Excellent chips by the way! Beautiful restaurant quality, made with home cooked love. We will be coming back for sure.

Food is fantastic and the gin selection is second to none in the area. We had pizza and a steak pie, with a sharing started for 2... which would have probably fed 4!!! Lovely welcome and so cosy inside. We could have stayed there all night! And they are so dog friendly!!! Deffinately our new local as we have just moved to the area. See them again soon!!

Lovely food. Highly recommend. Just edited my review as a group if us went back to the Greyhound on Saturday. Again was perfect. Staff really friendly food amazing. Don't really want to go anywhere else for a meal. Really good atmosphere here too.

Favourite pub in Stoke-on-Trent. Super cosy with the roaring fire and the age and history of the place makes it really worth the visit. Excellent range of beers and food. Great, friendly service. Always come in here when I am back in my hometown and will continue to do so.

Top quality local. Landlord Mike has excellent range of well kept guest ales & all usually Titanic Brewery suspects. Try the Plum Porter - one of best ales ever. It's a drinkers pub so food limited to scotch eggs & pork pies but they are best in class. Well behaved kids welcome till 7 pm.

Great traditional pub - live music good beers, food, bar snacks and friendly staff. There is a fair bit of historical interest in the building too. Penkhull is a good choice for a pub crawl actually as this village in a city has a number of good pubs within a few minutes walk of its centre

Food is decent mainly traditional but more dishes could easily be gluten free without drastically altering them. Our party's orders were delivered over 30 minutes apart so some of us had eaten before others got theirs and it wasn't that busy.

Usual Splendid Outstanding Service. Amazing New Menu, something to please everyone. I ordered the FISH PIE which came to me piping hot, just 8 minutes after ordering. Hardly time to take the top off my Pint of Kask Ale. Terrific Fish Pie served with an accompaniment of eldente carrots and green beans. Just enough,,, but a Side of Real Chips were considered. Three Excellent pints later, I walked Home Very Full. Very Happy and looking forward to my next visit. I thoroughly Recommend the Greyhound Inn Penkhull!
