We went last Friday. Had the steak and also a 4oz burger and they were both great. The burger was in a bagel bun that was really nice. Both were from the 'small plates' range but absolutely just enough for us both. Would go again for sure. Great atmosphere and dog friendly !

Went for a senior citizen lunch, 2 courses for £9.95. 4 choices of main course and 3 for desert. I had scampi and hubby had lasagne both really nice. I didn't like any of the deserts but they were happy to offer me an alternative. Would recommend

We went for a xmas meal as a group of 10 all fantastic but the tables had been set up in tge window area and wasn't alot of space between the table and the wall to get round. If u need get out a few others had move to allow u out. Would of been 5 stars otherwise

Love coming here. Atmosphere is great, cosy interior, friendly and relaxed staff. Tasty beer (l normally struggle to find what l like in pubs). 4 stars only because the food is good but not perfect. I do recommend this place. Update 2020. I suppose the chef is new here as meals look pretty posh now. Food is delicious but those ones who love massive portions might be not satisfied as there's not too much on plates. Yet if you go for quality rather than quantity you will be really satisfied. Big range of meals. My only disappointment last night was the dessert as the apply pie dough was definitely undercooked (

Ben at the door was a lovely man. The staff are really friendly and pleasant. We headed over little early to get table outside for dinner. The bill for the 4 of us: 1) sharing platter recommended for 2 pax 2) Mushroom Stroganoff, Half and Half (you can choose between rice of chips or a bit of both and I went with both) I recommend rice though, to pick up the Stroganoff. 3) Small fish and chips (a decent sized portion) 4) Prawn Scampi 5) Chicken breast with chips 3 x Tribute Ales 1 x Sparkling water Came out to a lil' over 60£, bellies filled, nice socially distanced seating and pleasant environment. It is a lovely place to spend some time, have some good food and enjoy being outside with family.

Birthday treat We meet here occasionally. Staff are always polite, helpful, and accommodating. Decent menu and very reasonably priced especially on the two courses for £10.45. Central location, easy to find, car parking, all on one level. Wheelchair users might find it a bit tight to manoeuvre.

Game of two halves....starters and steaks very very good. Fish and chips very disappointing, tarragon chicken tough. Staff very helpful and tried to put things right. Can't quite stretch to four stars but some parts were five stars. Would we go again? Maybe. Dietary needs tried to be accommodated but that's where the issues occurred. I'm trying to be utterly fair.

I think it's just changed hands, which may be the reason for there being a very restricted lunch menu. What was served was nice but very small portions, a tiny bowl of fries and there appeared to be no desserts on the menu, nor were we asked if we wanted any. Added to this, we weren't given any cutlery lol but as it was only the small side salad that needed a fork we managed the rest with our hands! Hopefully just teething issues with new management as the courses that were showing on the website, though not available yesterday, looked delicious.

My wife and I had the 3 course sunday lunch, which is outstanding value. The soup for starters was red hot and delicious. The Sunday dinner was really tasty and filling. We had the beef which wasn't cooked enough for us, as we like it well done, but that's not their fault. We then finished with sticky toffee pudding and custard which was superb. We came out absolutely stuffed! I would definitely recommend this place and will go back again to sample other dishes.

The food and service at this pub are exceptional. Great veggie options, good choice of drinks and everything tasted amazing. On top of this, the staff are unbelievably kind and helpful. My car broke down over the weekend and the manager allowed me to leave my car at the carpark and helped us liaise with local rescue/garage services. Cannot thank him enough!

We hadn't been before but after a terrible experience at a nearby restaurant for my sisters birthday I did a quick Google and this one came up. Staff were fantastic, food was incredible and it was all very reasonably priced. Myself and my partner have even booked back in for next week for date night.

Have been here a number of times over the last couple of months. Never had a bad meal. The lasagna is really nice and fresh. Really attentive staff. A bonus point is that they are pretty on it in terms of Covid. Paper menus, plastic wrapped cutlery and tables spaced far enough apart.

Went to celebrate with my daughter and her mother in law to be as we had been wedding dress shopping and she said yes to a dress! Nice staff and friendly service, had a bottle of prosecco which wasn't opened for us and ordered food. Food was pleasant enough just a little over cooked. Will definitely be back.

Went for a family meal and we all enjoyed are starters and main plus deserts. We were a party of nine so you have to go there to pick up a menu a week or so before then pick your meals and let them know your order before hand. This way your meals are all sorted quite quickly on the day. If there is only two,three or four of you then i would say you just ring up and book. All staff are very friendly and they really appreciate your customer. I will definitely go again.

We were at the red cow with a group of close friends for a birthday. 10 of us all pensioners, the service and food is a credit to the chef and the whole staff. If we had been forewarned we would have requested smaller portions as the meals were adequate to feed a team of Olympic athlete's. Nice beer garden and good selection of real ale. Well worth a drop in for a treat all round. Thank you all at the red cow for the welcome and the hospitality.

Lovely, quaint local pub with views of nice open scenery at the back. Good to visit for either a few drinks or food. Visited recently and tried a few different dishes between us, both were absolutely beautiful and very filling. We've been to the Red Cow for a number of years and the quality of the food has never faulted. Staff are also lovely, helpful and accommodating.

Visited in December for a work Christmas lunch and was not disappointed. The quality of the food was very good, the price for 3 courses (£15) was also very good and the service was very efficient. There were 12 in our group and food was served to each of us promptly without any issues. The Christmas background music was played at just the right volume and the dining area had been tastefully decorated.

Me and my mum came today for her birthday lunch it was 2 courses for £10.45 so that was ok as the portions were quite generous. My mum had fish and chips which she enjoyed I had the Italian chicken which was ok. For desert my mum had Bailey's bread and butter pudding and she said you could not taste any Bailey's in it I had toffee pudding and custard.The service was quite slow and the room we ate in was rather cold. I don't think I'll go again.

This is a really nice pub. I've been here quite a few times over the last two years and have always had a pleasant experience. The pub is very cosy and has a great atmosphere. Food is great, staff are welcoming and very accomadating. Cannot fault anything. Good value for money with food and drink. Large party of 17, So were asked to preorder adult meals. On arrival to be told that the items ordered weren't served today. Presentation of food faultless however the meat was quite dry especially the pork. If I was to return I would swerve the Sunday dinner and maybe try something from the proper menu.

I love this place I have been a few times and the staff were really friendly and the staff were out standing I even love how the bar has them straps to hold on to because of the low roof. I would highly recommend this to anyone but I would book every time because it's busy even on weekdays.
