Reviews of Toby Carvery Festival Park
J. H.
Booked a table for 5 pm for 4 . Liked the text they sent as a reminder to put car registration in . Carvery food was ok but presentations of food , needed a good stir, as it looked like it had been standing a while . 4 choices of meat . Wasn’t to busy . I enjoyed the food but others struggling with the beef as it was hard . Asked for a decafe latte , but hadn’t got one so using their initiative, made me a decafe coffee with warm milk. Ordered 2 adult festive meals,1 child’s off main menu and a normal carvery. . They forgot my pudding and I had to ask .Service was friendly. When it came to the bill we wanted it separated . As my daughter has a blue light card and could get a percentage off the normal menu , They said we had already had a discount so wouldn’t do it. We paid and left and not one member of staff wished us a merry Christmas or even said goodbye and 2 were at door when we left . It wasn’t that busy. Been here a few times but would think twice now .

Enjoyed our visit, only problem waited a long time to pay and weren't acknowledged by any member of staff including the manager. Also shouted out at when leaving the table to pay with drinks in hand ,asking if we'd paid!! The food and drinks were very nice but more training needed in customer service, hence only gave 4 stars
The marina was lovely very clean and a lovely family of geese too 🌟🌟🌟🌟😁🥂

Nice welcome. Promptly shown to our table. Drinks delivered. Carvery was excellent, I always think that a Toby carvery does the best beef ever. Lovely veggies and lots of them. Lovely surprise...they had swede! Not all Toby's do swede so this was very welcome. Lady came twice to make sure everything was ok. It was. All this food for less than 15 quid, you just can't get better.
The only thing I'd like to see would maybe be some roasted parsnips.
5* for an enjoyable, tasty meal.
We WILL be returning.

Birthday treat for my Grandson, there were 6 of us. Service was great when we got there, shown to our table, drinks brought orders taken. We all opted for the carvery which was good but not very hot, mine was lukewarm when I got to the table, having said that it was very good. We also ordered 2 portions of pigs in blankets which we had to ask for twice.
Once we had finished our meal the table was cleared. We didn't want any sweets which is a good job really because we never got asked, ended up having to ask for the bill. It was getting quite busy at this point & I don't think they have enough staff. The food was good, prices are reasonable, but the service could be better.

Food was amazing we all had a carvery and it was delicious. Our server Chelsea who has only been there for a week was FANTASTIC and looked after our table of 14 perfectly. Thank you and we will be back for another delicious carvery :)

Signage on where to go would be a positive. It was a but chaotic however the front of house staff were in complete control despite the chaos. Bloke behind the bar was the most miserable, monotone grump I've met in my life. Doesnt leave a good impression at all. Carvery was very hectic and busy but the food was extremely fresh and perfectly cooked. My own fault for visiting on a Sunday though.
H. R.
Went for a buffet breakfast, and had unlimited coffee for 2.49.
Can go up as many times. Not too busy as expected, considering it was half term holidays.
Fresh food always putting new out.
A. B.
Fantastic location and a vast amount of seating available outside, along the marina.
The atmosphere inside appeared relaxed too, and seemed to have a lot of seating available for food.
What let them down however was the bar staff were not that friendly or welcoming. Having said that, I will be returning to try the food.
If you're dining here and you've driven, please make sure you register your car details inside, to avoid getting a parking ticket.
M. A.
We called in for breakfast and for the most part was lovely the only downside is they allow you to make your own toast and those commercial toasters aren't great. Take my advice do your toast before collecting your food and you won't have any issues. It's clean and set in lovely surroundings next to a marina and the staff were pleasant polite and welcoming.
D.
Gorgeous views on the terrace or sit inside and gaze out the large windows in the restaurant at the marina outside, while eating a delicious Sunday roast! What more could you ask for? Highly recommend visiting here for a carvey or alternatives.
J. L.
Standard Toby carvery experience. Nice being next to the marina. The app didn't work for paying but the waitress was lovely and helpful. Really nice to have the lamb on for Easter! 👍
C. Y.
Wonderful all weekdays and weekends roast
l. d.
Love this Toby because of the staff. They are always helpful and friendly. I've been taking my two children here since they were babies and they are teenagers now and we still love it.
j. u.
Always come away disappointed. Does not matter if we go for breakfast or dinner. This morning there was no mushrooms no fried tomatoes no jam for toast. Went first week of last month for evening carvery at 19.30 half the meat had gone only ham and turkey. I don't like ham on my dinner and the turkey looked very dry so left without eating. We live nearby so a short walk away 2 minutes tops but will look to go a bit further in future as there is another carvery 10 minutes walk away
D. D.
Fathers day breakfast. A lovely opportunity to spend time with the family x Food was good, hot, and plentiful on the buffet. We were there at 8:30 tho.
K. O. C.
Had a lovely meal here whilst I was visiting friends, they'd brought me here as I'd never been before, it's situated in a beautiful spot right on the canal, meal was great, but must have to say though, the queue was very..I mean very long for the carvery, I have a severe thoracic kyphosis which means I can't stand for long periods of time, would be great if maybe there was another way to have a carvery brought to those who have problems too, but unfortunately the poor staff where rushed off their feet, but having said that it's a lovely place to go and have a meal.
J. M.
Food was lovely and we was served by a waiter called Ethan who look after us well and was so polite keep it up Ethan your definitely a role model for others
r. e.
The food was nice but i think you should keep the toast out until everyone whos in the resturant for breakfast has finished ....not switch off the toaster and not put anymore bread out...weve paid for that you wouldnt get any hot toast if you get there just before 11.00
T. B.
nice venue on the marina and now the parking is free for customers just make sure you log your car registration on the console and you go in.
had a ploughmans lunch and a couple of bottomless soft drinks.
staff were nice and friendly and it was fairly good value.
H. B.
Busiest Toby for breakfast I've been in for a while. No eggs when I got to the deck. By the time they came out I'd eaten my plateful, was going to go up again but a big queue. Didn't like the ide of having to go back up to the bar to ask for a tea top-up, all other Tobys have the urn out for customer use.
Well cooked food, nice service, and bright and airy. No doubt busier as the Trentham is closed and Talke is shut for breakfast.
K. S.
Food lovely abs good service. No staff were wearing face covering though which was disappointing especially since covid numbers are so high and a lot of hospitality staff are currently self isolating due to infection. Health and safety risk assessment could do with a review.
L. H.
Arrived at the Toby Carvery at Festival Park recently at 4pm, hoping to have a quiet drink and then eat around 5.15 ish. We hadn't booked a table thinking that on a dull day, and at that time, it wouldn't be too busy. Sadly they had no tables free until after 6pm so we decided not to wait 2 hours and went elsewhere to eat. We did stay for a drink, but there was nowhere to sit in the bar area, abd the only space was in the family room. This was clean and tidy despite there being families coming and going. So big shout out for the staff in coping I such a busy environment. If you plan to go here for a meal, definitely book ahead. The food looked and smelt good.
I also found out they do a takeaway service, so that was good to know about for future .
A. N.
I had a great experience,the food was lovely can't wait to return.would recommend 😁
D. B.
I love the carvery, which is pretty much what you get here. We had a relaxed meal and I could control my portions. Was pretty much amazed how much people could put away, pretty awesome dome sized helpings, and scoffed down, gawd bless em 😆❤
N. T.
Staff were amazing, im gluten & dairy intolerance & the chef cooked my meal from scratch. Couldnt meet such nicer people. The food was amazing...i really recommend this place for food or even a drink as there amazing views.
J. L.
What a difference a few months makes. In April we called here and it was awful. Poor service and long waits. Our gluten free diner's meal didn't arrive until everyone else had finished eating even though it contained the same ingredients! In December our waitress was extremely helpful, thoughtful and polite. Other members of staff steered us through the gluten free carvery using a phone app. The food was very good too!
K. G.
I have to say, it was outstanding.
Free, clean car park, with plenty of space, despite the restaurant being fairly busy.
The outside seating area, well ordered and clean, i can imagine it being beautiful and very busy in the summer.
Greeted at the door within minutes and seated. The wait staff were all polite and friendly, despite large parties being in the restaurant, they were attentative.
The food itself was delicious, fresh and piping hot. The service area was immaculate with no wait time.
Worth every penny, we will be returning and i'll be taking the whole family.
Great visit!
D. C.
A great place to stop if you're cycling, walking or going by the canal on a barge. Staff are always polite and professional, great food & drinks. One of our favourite places to stop at.
N. H.
We arrived at 20:30 last night and they stop serving carvery at 21:00, but they brought out a whole fresh turkey and full selection of fresh veg and potatoes nevertheless - just for us final two diners. I call this EXCELLENT service, we were very impressed!
Be aware that the £1 parking charge system has recently changed... You do NOT need to pay at the machine as it is free for pub customers you simply enter your vehicle reg on the touchscreen when you first walk in.
P. C.
the meal was very nice and fresh and you get plenty of food and there's some lovely choices in the menu I also asked for a seat by the window when I booked which they very kindly gave me and my girlfriend the waitress that took my drinks order was friendly and polite and very efficient I would definitely recommend
D. H.
Lovely Food. Very helpful staff. Good value. Will eat there again. Highly recommended.
E. B.
Had 5 carverys on a Sunday, it was busy but we still got served quickly the food was lovely and josh who served us at the table was absolutely amazing, he was so polite and friendly his customer service was impeccabl will definitely be returning in future.
J. W.
I had a lovely meal. My waitress was outstanding. Her name was marie.
She was very friendly and just brilliant.
C. O.
Very nice breakfast, more than enough choice. 1 small criticism is that the bacon looks like it's been cooked on a radiator
M. D.
Pretty much all you can eat but made at a price. The beef was tough. They slice it thin hoping it will be chewable. Super nice food server though. Food is mediocre at best.
R. H.
Really great friendly serving staff ,couldn't do enough for us ,above and beyond, tasty food.
S. w.
Went for a last minute lunch with family food was really nice, everything was reasonably priced, it was really quite busy though but you have to expect that at a nice, popular place
A. J.
Joined 4 friends on Friday, 03/12/2021 for a meal, excellent value for set meal and carvery, plenty of choice. Recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in knees and ankles so struggling to walk at the moment. A waiter helped me to our table and when I went to order from the carvery a chef came to me, said he would take my order and get a waitress to give it to me. He then took me back to the table and helped me sit down. I was touched by the gesture and the meal was lovely. Will not hestitate in going back and recommending them
E. E.
Very nice place next to the lake. Good food, friendly personal, good service. Fantastic
P. S.
First time there, will definitely be back soon our waitress Win were brilliant in everyday.
J. W.
Lovely friendly atmosphere and fantastic food from the carvery. Great value too.
P. W.

K. B.
Great food carvery brilliant the Lamb was amazing.
Nice friendly staff would recommend 👌
L. C.
After a disastrous meal ,(delivery), from here previously, was a little uncertain about ordering again
Tonight's meal was very good
Arrived on time and hot
Plentiful moist turkey and tasty gravy, huge Yorkshire pudding, several roast potatoes, lots of mash., stuffing
Carrots, cauliflower and peas.
The only thing that I wish could be changed is that you could choose the vegetables that you would prefer.
However, restored my faith in Toby carvery, thank you.
C. F.
Food good had to wait a little while for drinks and dessert but they were very busy and staff apologised for the wait
G.
Great quality carvery served up by friendly staff at a scenic location by the marina. Winner winner, make mine a turkey dinner.
L. S.
Very busy Wednesday evening ,but didn't wait long in being served, waitress was lovely and quick in taking Our order great service all round
k. L.
Food was nice. Turkey looked pink near the bone so I avoided. It was 7.30 Sunday eve so very busy. The beef looked dry, so had the gammon, I was given two slices which felt stingy considering you can have all of the meats. Lots of veg choice the Brussels were the saddest I had ever seen like dry green marbles. They died in vain.! The cauliflower cheese was really good. However it was busy the price is really reasonable, we were served my a lady called Mary as she was marvellous. Would I go again? Yes earlier and perhaps on a weekdays.
H. H.
Went with my partner last week for their birthday. My partner is autistic, and struggles in busy environments. We spoke to the host, asking if he would be able to seat us in a quieter area of the restaurant, to which he said of course! All the staff here are super friendly, and I can not fault them one bit! The food is all cooked to perfection, and the puddings are divine
L. W.
Booked in advance and remember to book car reg in on arrival. Efficient staff and service. Carvery, if you enjoy 'roast' dinners this is the place to come. Roast pork and turkey nice and moist. Beef cooked just right. Busy but good atmosphere. Setting on the marina - perfect.
S. L.
Late afternoon Sunday visit. Very good carvery plenty of meat on a standard plate. Very prompt service both ordering and clearing finished plates. Friendly and attentive staff.
C. C.
Friendly staff, good, healthy food, at a reasonable price, in pleasant surroundings. WHat more can I say?
K. E.
Had the carvery, very nice food and welcoming staff been a few years since I last went and was not impressed back then but there seems to have been a lot of improvement
G.
Great value for money. Taste food, Refreshing drinks. Good friendly service
J. B.
Was very busy Sunday lunchtime but booked online 10 minutes before arrival seated soon as we arrived, although busy the queue for carvery went very quickly. Great choice of meats(including lamb) although no mash potatoes on this occasion but roast potatoes filled the gap. Friendly staff and quick service. Very nice surroundings also.
P. M.
Excellent food! Tender, tasty meat. Fresh, not overcooked vegetables.
Absolutely glorious desert!!
(My favourite part!!)
We're visiting my son up here after travelling from South Wales.
Will reccomend to anyone who asks!!
K. J.
Lovely food but I went in the week when it wasnt so busy
B. M.
Brilliant service, team were very helpful and the food was great ,even if slightly pricey in comparison to most pub meals these days.
M. R.
I was taken to the Marina Toby carvery for the first time for father's day and I must say wow I didn't expect that..
Upon entry the staff were polite and instructed us about our visit with restrictions etc.
Our service tonight was provided by Marie she provided a fresh wiped down table & explained our evening taking our drinks order & returning with a fast service.
Throughout the evening she attended our table with kind professionalism for that a massive thank you for your service.
Food was a carvery and the Beef, turkey & gammon were all cooked fantastically not a dry bit of meat on our plates all 3 meals were fantastic.
In all a credit to all the staff involved who provided a great service from front of house to kitchen to waitresses and cleaning staff well done..
Mike.
T. M.
Waiting on staff not very efficient at all, didn't follow up request and waited far to long, although the manager seemed very friendly, think the staff need more training in social skills, rather disappointed with our visit today 😏
C. H.
Quick service, food was fantastic as always.
Highly recommended
C. L.
Got there for our booking atto wait 25 min before we got a table. Then atto go to other of the building to get the carery dispointed.
A.
First time here on way to Alton towers..

K. f.
No improvements necessary it was an enjoyable atmosphere, pleasant staff and lively food....
G. D.
Lovely setting by the canalside. The staff are professional and accommodated us at late notice. Good prices. I would dine here again. 👍
S. S.
Although I am not into the carvery model, whilst moored up here been in and had a few beers. Once again cask ales available aren't to my first choice taste, but tried Pedigree and was very well kept. Staff are diligent and well trained, makes you feel welcome.
k. m.
Went here for Xmas and birthday with support worker really enjoyed it was busy I can't do crowds so for me it was a big challenge but did it
A. J.
Love calling here for dinner with the family, good food great staff.
R. D.
Arrived a little bit early, was taken to our table. And their was no time wasted on going up for a carvery. The carverer was very polite, we could hear him clearly through the screen. Would like to say a big thank you to Win for looking after us. Such an amazing job. The rest of the staff were great too.
S. F.
Lots of variety we had the carvery clean and tidy and very well organized.

K. S.
Pleasant place to go. Tasty, well cooked carvery. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Few options for vegans and vegetarians on the menu which is always nice to see. Lovely location right by the canal.
S. N. (.
Really long wait times to be seated even though we had prebooked. Food was fine but nothing great
Breakfast food was good for the price
L. M.
Me and my mother went recently on a day out to alton towers and loved it, food was amazing and staff were brilliant. We were served by Natalie, and she was great, very friendly. Overall great food and great service, the actual location is beautiful and it's a lot better than the one near us. Would definitely go again next time we're in the area
G. L.
Everything was fine, good service, despite it been very busy.
B. M.
Great Food and customer service... Would definitely recommend to anyone
H. S.
Reasonably priced. One of the better carveries food is fresh.
L. M.
Amazing food, squished us in at a spacious table of 4 even though hadn't pre-booked. So was extremely grateful and food was amazing. Brilliant value for money and great service with a smile. Beautiful view and could happily spend half a day there watching the canal barges. Food was good enough we took away a carvery for my dad at home too. Warm, well lit and definitely go ahead. #AvonKittensBeauties
L. H.
Lovely food 4 choices of meat Yorkshire puddings, mash, garlic mash, beef dripping roast potatoes, lots of different veg
V. B.
Great quality food, service, price and the best view from the place.
L. M.
Lots of cooked breakfast, disappointed there was no continental breakfast choice, no fruit, cereal, yogourt or croissant!!
S. H.
Excellent carvery, the turkey was really tasty. Everything else was good as well.
J. M.
Had a lovely carvery today , meat was very tidy, loved the roast spuds. We sat out side was a beautiful day .
E. M.
Need to put cleaner salt and pepper on the tables as ours was dirty and full of food unable to get any out otherwise would have been 5 stars. A gorgeous view and amazing breakfast. The staff were all lovely and helpful.
L. H.
It was an amazing place to eat the amazing food that they had for Christmas. Fully enjoyed everything. I would highly recommend
A. S.
Bloody love the carvery here...I think they do another menu too...but it's all about the carvery!
d. m.
Lovely relaxing lunch. Staff were polite and helpful. Carvery was amazing. Cooked to our liking and a lot of choice. The ice cream is gorgeous. Will definitely return.
A. P.
Visited for breakfast and the food wasn't as get of as expected. Alot was cold in the self service area and the eggs were all solid. Saving grace is they do full fat coke in the drinks dispenser
K. G.

C. T.

K. O.

Had a lovely meal here with my family at the weekend
Our waitress was amazing even came back and replaced my coffee as it had gone cold while I was getting my food, didn’t even have to ask, amazing customer service x will definitely be visiting again soon ❤️
G. F.
Have used this place for many years. In the summer lovely to sit outside. Food is good here, typical Toby. Lovely staff, especially Winnie, she is incredibly helpful.
A. W.
Nice food, decent carvery, nice pudding too! We booked a place but it was very busy so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes but that was nothing really!
Nice evening out!
N. P.
The food was excellent and the customer service from Nicki was fantastic .
A.
I stopped going to Toby in Enfield as the service and food were so poor.
My visit to Toby Stoke on Trent was outstanding. All the food was fresh hot and the service was excellent. I will definitely be visiting again. 😋
d. j.
Me and my partner went for a meal we got greated by a member of staff and should to our table. The waiter was kind and polite, food was excellent value for money.
A BIG THANK TO ALL THE STAFF .
L. R.
Try to go here when it's quiet. Great food, good atmosphere, and the location is excellent too. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. Highly recommend getting the extra pigs in blankets.
G. C.
Helpful friendly staff. A pleasure to eat there.
P. b. V.
Had a breakfast there highly recommended food was cooked spot on .only thing missing was fried bread
D. 1.
Always great food and a friendly atmosphere, we love the location which is right on the canal marina.
T. L.
Lovely location , but unfortunately the wait for food was abit of a let down, we were given a buzzer and told it would be approximately 15 min wait, after almost half an hour we had to ask if our buzzer was working! Finally we got called upto the carvery and had to join a very long que, one of my friends was disabled and on crutches, which was quite awkward for them, stood waiting for at least another 15 mins! Staff were run off their feet. Hopefully they are better organized next time as the food was amazing,
A. D.
Amazing food.staff were very polite and efficient
D. B.
Visited whilst in the area. Have to say I was very impressed not only with the lovely food but also the staff were all very welcoming and polite.
The starters we chose were lovely and the roast itself was delicious with the veg and side dishes being extremely fresh and tasting lovely.
C. A.
Delicious carvery. Friendly, helpful staff.
J. W.
Fantastic food, service and excellent facilities for our business meeting.
A very well ran site. Well done to the manager and their team 😊
W. B.
Had a good carvery here good staff
D. B.
This toby has restored my faith in the group. After a couple bad experiences in other resorts we decided to book enroute for breafast. It was lovely. Chef kyle was great. Funny chatty and quick. Sausages were actually cooked (not just on 1 side n raw on otget) Coffee was hot and other staff really friendly. Maybe they should be transfered around to show others how its done.
J. M.
Such a warm and welcoming place to be, this morning we throughly enjoyed a Toby Carvery Breakfast.
It was so delicious with lots to choose from such as Yorkshire pudding, sausage, eggs, beans, peeled plum tomatoes, hashbrowns and lots more.
You get a choice of drinks like tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, fruit juice and refillable sodas
A. C.
We had a lovely meal, well presented nicely cooked. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Love going there.
C. M.
Lovely meal very friendly staff nice and clean
H. H.
Carvery good and although busy on a Sunday we went early so missed the rush.
Staff really friendly and quick service. Paid with the Toby app which was brilliant!
Delicious desserts to finish our meal too.
Location is nice looking out onto the marina and parking not a problem on a Sunday (around midday).
Would definitely visit again if we're in the area.
C. B.
Very enjoyable friendly staff and meal very good will go again
J.
Lovely food, good service. Strange way of social distance measure. Just what you'd expect at a Toby Carvery - large portions, delicious food. 4 star
T. S.
As carveries go the food was good. Service excellent with a nice atmosphere
S. F.
Great carvery. Sunday's are a little too busy for me
S. B.
Great choice of food.cosy atmosphere and good real ales .nice .
Friendly staff, and it's always great value for money, and great food, well worth a visit
B. P.
What a cracking experience , this place is a credit to the name. The food is fantastic , yes i had an issue with one particular item, its to be expected with the turnover they have. The management exceptional, customer based all the way sorted my issue very professional . Staff excellent, very courteous and polite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
A. S.
Amazing!!!! 1st outing for dad (who has dementia) since the start of the pandemic and staff went out of their way to accommodate us especially in regards where we could eat (dad's in a care home). He loved his long awaited pint.....
D. M.
Serving was very different to what it used to be. Drinks took a while to arrive considering we ordered before being sat at our table. Social distancing was very difficult when queuing for food. The line was very close to other customers and provided less than 1m clearance with other customers and staff walking past
A. T.
Staff are friendly and polite.
They are working their tatters off in this current covid climate, constantly sanitising their hands, wearing masks etc especially in this heat wave we are currently having in England.
Can't fault the team one bit.
E. B.
Food was yummy but they run out of a few things fairly quickly in busy periods was disappointing there was no Mac and cheese on as it was one of the things that convinced me to go here. Suggest booking in advance also on the weekend as we waited an hour and a half for a table.
A. H.
We had a carvery prior to starting a canal boat holiday and breakfast on our return. The food was awesome on both days but what made it memorable was the staff. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Well worth a visit . 10 out of 10.

Very friendly staff, very nice food, only negative was getting out the car some customers pulled up in front of us where the footpath joins the car park (not a parking space) and got out a nissan van (a nv200 i think) then opened the rear passenger side door, deliberately kicked out rubbish onto the car park and tried to hide it by kicking it under the car and left the car blocking the footpath almost completely making if very difficult for customers to get past
D. H.
Very nice, took a while to get our food due to it being busier than usual, was a bank holiday though so you'd think there'd be more staff. Was nice though
K. B.
Always a great family experience & fabulous atmosphere. Very nice seating outside and you can look at the canal & all the beautiful barges. It's a great location in the summer months especially. Hard to believe your in Stoke on Trent. Great pints aswell.
K. S.
Lovely food, excellent service and good value.

Visited with my son and family for a very nice carvery. It is my daughter in law's birthday today and so we all came together for a celebratory meal. We had brought a birthday cake which the staff were happy to help with by lighting the candles. The manager and staff were very attentive and a great time was had by everyone! Many thanks
n. p.
I would have given 5 stars, I ordered through deliveroo. The only issue I felt was that the food doesn't come sealed in the bag so you have no idea if the meal was tampered with during the delivery.
B. A.
Great food, quick service, staff friendly
K. P.
Lovely sitting along side the canal. Food was fab, dessert was yummy I had the Eton mess. Definitely go here again.
K. G. P.
This was my 7th visit to this carvery, again the food was excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful, excellent value for money, well worth a visit
s. f.
We went this past Sunday. It was very busy but the service was first rate and didn't wait long for anything. Great place with a lovely location on the water.
C. H. O.
Lovely staff meal was hot and tasty
D. J.
Excellent service, covid safe, reasonable priced and delicious carvery
J. a. M. R.
We had a wonderful, tasty meal as a family and everyone found several options of veggies and meat that they loved, including the children! There was a very attentive waitress, who couldn't have been kinder or more helpful as we had several changes to our order and special requests! All around a very happy time with delicious food, excellent service and amazing views of the canal!
J. P.
Extremely busy,lovely table service
T. D.
No sprouts...but a great plate of veggies otherwise
W. T.
Lovely food and views. The restaurant area is looking a little dated now and chairs aren't the most comfortable but still a nice place to visit
S. H.
Good place to eat. Cheers
G. H.
Good food 😋 friendly service 😋 Good value 👌
R. H.
Popped here before attending a concert in Stoke, was seated quickly, staff friendly and food amazing. I felt thoroughly stuffed and I was glad I didn’t go for a large plate.
I’ll had the pork and the gammon and cheekily asked for the chef’s end (crispy outer bit normally discarded) and got both! The vegetables were equally delicious and I was delighted to see macaroni cheese on offer too.
Another highlight was the Colman’s English Mustard being among the condiments, so often there’s an inferior mustard.
Didn’t need any dessert as I was stuffed.
s. h.
Food was nice - we all had the carveries. They do lamb which I haven't seen in a carvery before. The food queue was quite large and took about 15 minutes before we got to the actual food. It was a Sunday lunch so I guess that is expected. Staff were very nice and helpful.
J. B.
A big thank you to the assistant today I'm alergic to parsley she had a carvery prepared without parsley thank you again Win lovely lady I think that was her name.
b. a.
Wendy the Jamaican born lady, send our love to her.
P. C.
Carvery is delicious. Consistently so.
C. K.
I visit here regularly, the staff are endlessly helpful and fun. The food is good, sometimes you have to wait to get served in the carvery, but otherwise the chefs are always good natured and it doesn't matter to much. I always enjoy the experience, the food and the welcome. It will continue to be my place of choice to eat.
S. R.
Really good went with the family and it's really great! You can get nice meat and veg and gravy! Plus there's unlimited drinks so you can go and grab as many drinks as you want. The puddings are really good too I do recommend ice cream with strawberry or chocolate sauce. It's really good for kids that really like ice cream! Really good service, nice freshly cleaned bathrooms and nice friendly people! I would recommend this to people who have no where better to go!

Meal for 2 adults 1 child on a Tuesday evening. Really enjoyed it. Staff were really friendly and engaging. Chef who was serving answer all our fun questions we ask ie how many turkeys do you get through a week and how many bags of potatoes. Our little one was very impressed. Great experience will be going back.
L.
Staff were lovely. Everywhere was clean. We didn't have to wait for anything as the waitress was very efficient. Would of given 5 stars but the chef wasn't very generous with the meat compared to most I've been too.
D. F.
The Carvery was very good but not much choice of vegetables,if you like potatoes they were done 4 ways but the place is great and I would definitely go back.
A. F.
Nice food friendly staff but not worth £15 a meal for a carvery as I come from reading and eat in Toby carvery a lot thought it was a lot of money for a Monday and got told you didn't have lamb on a Monday only Sunday
C. K.
Staff were so attentive..nothing to much trouble food was so yummy..couldn't even fit a pudding it
S. K.
Love this place for breakfast. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Food is always hot and although it is a help yourself buffet there is always a chef front of house making sure the food is fresh not dried out and items are regularly coming out from the kitchen.
Lovely outside area for lazy summer days by the marina.
N. B.
Well, it's a Toby carvery. Love it or hate it, there won't be many surprises. A great end to the day for 2 youngsters on their first canal adventure.
K. C.
Last time I went it wasn't a good experience. They are all over the place and what's more confusing is that you can't carry your own plate to the table like you arent going to touch it or you know, eat of it. I'll change my review if this has changed.
B. M.
Fair price good service enjoyed it
T. B.
Food was lovely. We had 9 in our group and the tables they had put together weren't the best. Glasses for our wine were dirty but they changed them for us. We had a great time and kids loved the view out the window of the boats and ducks. Would go again
B. A.
Lovely staff great food
C. B. (. B.
Lovely food - really enjoyed it! Great choice & got a good plateful considering we can't put it on ourselves! Friendly staff & waterfront views.
C. C.
Good breakfast... arrived for breakfast at 8.30am....nice and quiet; plenty of choice
C.
Good carvery, friendly staff. The cauliflower was a little under cooked for my liking, but the deserts were great.
L. g.
Fantastic value for money. I highly recommend the breakfast. £4.49 for all you can eat breakfast inc full English, toast and jams, plus some surprising giant onion and cheese Yorkshire puddings. The drinks are free refill which also helps keeps cost down. Has a free car park (for people using the restaurant) and is set in a marinia side location and if you have a rod licence and waterways wanders pass has good fishing for pike, big perch and barbell
K. L.
Great carvery as usual although served personally by the chef instead of yourself piling up your plate because of covid-19. You still got as much (or as little) as you would of helped yourself to. Delicious as ever and piping hot too 😋
J. B.
This place is situated in a beautiful location by the side of the Canal Mariner. Would be a amazing place to go to end a warm summers evening.
The service is fast, helpful & courtesy. The waitress was brilliant!
We went to collect our food from the carver who asked if I would like a Yorkshire pudding and she gave a generous amount if meat. The vegetables and mash are unlimited but you can only go up once so stock up.
Please be careful!!! The utensils are hitter than hot. They can give 1st degrees burns that how hot they are so you've been warned.
I'd recommend asking for Turkey and then smother it in mint sauce, absolutely beautiful.
The mash is to die for and the food was plentiful but the roasties are very sweet.
After the main I had ordered a Belgium Brownie but the waitress got the wrong pudding but she dealt with the issue swiftly and she corrected the issue fast.
I recommend that you go if your looking for a British Sunday dinner, very fulfilling and recommended to all roast lovers.
J. N.
Friendly staff and well cooked food, can't ask for anything more
m. l.
Went with a party for Christmas Meal. Situated overlooking a marina by the side of a canal. The view is very pleasant. There is a large outside seating area with views of the marina. Indoors, the dining area is spaciously set out and comfortable. Dining is by carvery with plenty of choice, and absolutely delicious although starters and desserts are served by a waitress/waiter. There is also a large bar area. The staff were very helpful and friendly, all in all a very pleasing night out.Certain to go again.
J.
Lovely pub,great food
G. B.
Carvery was lovely, meat was moist and veg was perfect and tasty. The decor is starting to look tired though and the mens bathroom had a river of pee leaking all over the floor. Other than that, good service and food.
L. K.
For a restaurant that specialises in carvery you would expect the meat to be soft and tender, instead the gammon was very fatty, didn't have the pork as it looked very fatty so had a slice of beef which was stringy and chewy . Very disappointing.
F. M.
Friendly staff, clean, lots of choice of food and plenty of space inside and out and situated next to the canal with lots of boats to look at
R. D.
Comfy place to dine in. This is a long standing branch of TC that has a nice setting by the canal and nice building. The food is cooked excellently and the staff that serve are friendly. Parking is free upon entrance, just enter your reg. plate on the touchscreen. The prices are fair and have deals on certain days and discounts to service members currently.
S. K.
A great selection of food with helpful friendly staff. Fast turnover means fresh food
A. R.
Okay. Not as good as it used to be. Limited range of veg and mash is temporarily off the menu. Pleasant enough sraff though.
H. G.
Lovely Toby Carvery by the canal. Can sit outside if it's nice. Can be busy so best to book. I booked a table via their app which also allows you to pay through the app and saves you waiting for someone to come round with the card machine. Lovely food.
J. U.
The waitress who served us was ever so helpful and really cheered me up as I was having a bit of a bad day. The food was awesome too. Fully recommend the mac and cheese, although the gravy could be a bit thicker.
L. L.
Pleasant staff. There was a good variety of veg on the carvery including macaroni cheese ( that was a first ). The tables were cleared quickly. Sensible price. Carvery is alwats good when you have hungry teenagers with you, as there is no waiting for your meal to be cooked. There are several places locally where we can have a carvery, but we always choose to come here.
The restaurant is located next to a marina with narrow boats and ducks to watch whilst you eat...so it's very pleasant location.
a. h.
Stopped off here after cycling along the canal from Consall.
Ordered a coffee and cup of tea " over priced " for what we got plus it was luke warm . Will not be returning in a hurry .☕☕☹️.
C.
Always enjoy going here with my best friend. We are both vegetarian and the choice is fantastic. Our only issue is that the square plates used for the vegetarian option are not hot so our food goes cold quicker. Great value £8 each for a drink and a meal.. 😊
G. H.
Nice area and not too expensive but the dry potatoes and very fatty slices of gammon somewhat ruin the meal. In addition to this I was told by staff there would be up to an hour wait...ignoring that the party before us were told 20-30 monutes. After going to the bar we noticed about 12-15 empty tables and another 4 round the side of the bar. I mentioned this to staff who just told us to take one and go get food. Please coordinate with your front of house a little better. I understand this place is cheap and cheerful but their seating system could do with an overhaul
d. r.
Staff where very friendly. Food was delicious. Very busy but nothing was too much trouble
P. B.
Always a decent carvery when I go here, staff are really helpful & pleasant to, can't fault it for the price you pay.
j. b.
A wide range of meats to enjoy with your carvery. Large Yorkshire pudding and variety of veg n potato. Summat I hadn't tried before was mash with apple. So yummy. Staff excellent. Place is clean and so picturesque by the side of the canal. They even cater for dog by having a barrel dispensing water. A place that hidden off the main roads. You won't b disappointed.
D. E. C.
A very nice, well presented restaurant. Very friendly staff. Food cooked to perfection. What more could one possibly want?
A lovely location makes casual drinks a joyous experience during the warm summer evenings.
J. N.
A very good cauvary menu with well cooked meats and loads of Yorkshire pudding, vegetables, roast potatoes etc. A great dessert menu to choose from.
t. b.
Don't think twice just go
Amazing carvery, if you don't want eat just have a pint go anyway the canal view is jus amazing and alsow the place have a lovely atmosphere, lovely staffs
L. K.
I love this place. The food is great if not perfect. The bar staff are always welcoming and heart warming, and the atmosphere is always so nice to be in. If you want a nice night out with some old friends you want to catch up with or just a meal with the family, this very few places come close to matching Toby Carvery.
G. M.
Superb Service on a busy Sunday Lunchtime. The staff were great at probably their busiest time in the week. The waitress was quick to take our drinks and carvery order. The food was good from the four meats, pork, gammon, beef and turkey to the excellent vegetable self service cart. This was constantly being replenished.
A good effort by the pub at peak time .Well done but I am sure in the week it is excellent sat viewing the marina when maybe not so busy even so a very enjoyable meal.
C. T.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Food menu is great and I've been many times. But one major problem, the serving section for the carvery is so hot it's dangerous and painful when you inevitably burn yourself. The plate you're handed with your meat is always too hot so you have to grab napkins to save your fingers. The veg that you help yourself to is under heaters that are WAY TOO HOT. You can feel the heat pouring out at you as you stand there. You burn your hands on the serving spoons and so need to grab more napkins or use a sleeve as I've seen some people do. Because of this it's hit or miss whether the veg you serve yourself is going to be dry as a bone or not. If you're lucky enough to be there when the veg bowls have just been replenished then you've got some tasty food, if not you could be crunching on macaroni cheese and choking on dry potatoes. If this issue was solved I'd definitely give a 5 out of 5.
j. l.
Coffee a bit strong the sausages have herb in them so left them but everything else was ok
A. H.
Went in on the off chance and although thry were busy showed to a table had first class meal and the desert was wonderfull
D. D.
Delicious carvery. Nice friendly staff. Really nice setting with all the canal boats moored up.
G. C.
Never been to this carvery before but have been to several Toby Carverys and this one is by far the best. An excellent and large choice of food and a gorgeous lake view on three sides of the building. The serving staff were all professional and attentive even though it was very busy during our visit. Shame the weather wasn't nice so we could have sat outside.
J. W.
Lovely fresh food & great price!.
Very impressed with array of good on offer. Service really friendly. Even at 5pm peak trade.
Great for a healthy meal whilst on a diet , with the large amount of veg on offer.
L. W.
I have been coming here for years Lovely place to come, wonderful food & great friendly staff highly recommend.
D. P.
Was really nice, and good value.
J. L.
Nice, cosy atmosphere.Friendly staff.Safety precautions in place.Food smelled lush but just called in for a drink. Will definitely return
L. K.
Rating is for breakfast.
Rubbish for vegetarians. They made an effort with offering Quorn sausages but they mixed bacon with things!! The Yorkshire Pudding (not sure why it's at breakfast time but hey ho) and the diced potato. So that left the eggs, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms. Hash browns too but they were very dry. Toaster machine just basically burnt the toast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think they were understaffed that day because it was really busy but things like not taking away the bowl left at the unlimited hot drink area which was for tea bags and sugar packets meant it was overflowing. The surrounding area was beautiful, and all glass walls meant you can see it all (a mooring area I think?). I'd go for the carvery but I don't think I'd recommend going for the buffet breakfast.
C. R.
The best carvery I have been to locally
S. C.
Great meal with a good selection of items on the carvery. Quick service and friendly staff.
A. S.
Good conversation is as important as good food. Kyle made us feel extremely welcome and cooked one of the best breakfasts I've had. The Yorkshire pudding raised an eyebrow but I have to say they where perfect! Thanks Kyle
A. B.
Okay, BEST. ROAST. IN ALL. OF STOKE!!! My words cannot describe the awesomeness that is this place! If you go for the Carvery (Otherwise, why are you even here, bro?) you make it a King Size and you get TWO Yorkshire puddings the size of large coffee mugs (the sort you get at a Costa), your choice of FIVE MEATS, or ALL of them, and you can go back for as much veggies as you want, and if you opt for the Refillable drink you get as much of that as you want. Me and my Partner paid 30 BOON for all of the above. Why are you still reading? GO NOW!
B. P.
Good value and excellent breakfast!
P. B.
Can't go wrong with eat all you want breakfast
k. f.
Can never go wrong with a Toby carvery!!!! Delicious as always xxx
H.
Food was average meat is always good would have liked food to have been hotter. Staff were fine I must admit I will only go if have money off voucher wouldn't pay full price as dont feel it would be value for money. Also I feel that the festival park venue needs to be refurbished a little
S. F.
Visited many times for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Decent atmosphere, reasonable prices and food is good.
They also have two vegan main course options and can do vegetarian sausages as part of their breakfast buffet (but call ahead).
D. H.
Had a lovely meal yesterday, carvery had everything you could ask for. Very clean, social distancing in place and hand sanitised as soon as you go through the door and before you question for carvery, I am on crutches the staff took my meal to the table for me, definitely be one of my regulars now, Well done Toby 👍👏
G. H.
Excellent carvery. Great location. Friendly staff
J. J.
The best carvery food I have had so far from a few places in stoke and all the choices of mean
E. g.
Excellent place to eat and drink safely.
A. K.
Great place to stop for some refreshment when out cycling along the canal. The young lady that served us was very helpful and friendly.
l. w.
Very helpful staff food was excellent
N. T.
Went for breakfast over Christmas and the food was good and really cheap price. Being buffet you could eat as quickly as you wanted. Would recommend, not quite as nice as somewhere like the Orange Tree but better for kids and a third of the price.
E. L.
Table booked 2hours in advance, shown to our table promptly, stacked our plates & demolished contents. Staff excellent in all respects. Staggered to our car feeling righteously stuffed. Top job.
索.
Good selection for a roast, serving staff took a little while to come out of the kitchen though, same with the waitress to the table with the drinks order but it wasn't too much of an issue as the food was delicious. Really nicely placed on the canal bank surrounded by narrow boats, a surprising location!
P. T.
Nice food friendly staff lots of seating out side 5 different meats at the carvery
E. M.
Usual toby carvery standards. Nothing special but nothing disappointing either. We had the all you can eat breakfast, every one walked away full and happy. For the price you can't complain :) Generally clean, if not a little rammed in table wise. Toilets are not particularly nice though, the disabled/baby change looked and felt dirty, wet floors (puddles rather than freshly mopped).
T. S.
Just been china gardens for christmas lunch. There was 32 of us having a three course meal. Which was fantastic! The staff were very helpful and friendly.Thw food we could not fault in any way. The only negative if i must give one, is christmas music would have gone down a treat. Xx. Keep up the great service. Thank you again.
L. B.
Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Would of liked a few more vegetable choices
M. S.
I've been before and compared from other meals? The most recent one, was disgusting!! Yorkshire pudding was like concrete (even another 2 customers complained) and the roast spuds cremated. If and when we have another meal and we don't like it? Definitely be going elsewhere..
D. P.
Very busy @ 6.30pm as expected but appeared to be very short staffed. Stood inline for carvery over 40 mins, really need 2 carvers not 1 & ridiculous carving with plastic handled knives that get hot under the lights, please give them different knives or gloves. Waitress rushed off her feet so it took me over 20+ mins to pay. Even greeters clearing & setting tables. Food was hot & tasty but not well organised at all. Will have to try again at a less popular time to judge properly.
S. P.
What a lovely Toby to eat at. The scenery was so relaxing to be next to. Staff were great. Only down side is the chef took a while to come serve the meat and waitress took a while to get our drinks and get them right but never mind. Car park was 50p for three hours but refunded if you remember
G. J.
Had a Sunday carvery here. Food good and plentiful. Staff pleasant and attentive. Place was full as usual but we were lucky getting our food with only a small queue. Would definitely go back.
r. b.
Last minute stop on canal, only just noticed needs sign on canal
P. C.
A first class carvery. Excellent service and very good value. It gives you exactly what it offers.
B. S.
Visited a few time while narrow boating on the canal. Ate dinner and breakfast. Great to meet the enthusiastic breakfast chef Kyle and feel his passion for cooking and pleasing his customers. Superb food. Thanks Kyle.
D. P.
Food very good staff polite quality prices will be going back again.
D. B.
absolutely fantastic experience would recommend anyone looking for breakfast or dinner staff friendly and welcoming could not do enough
M. C.
Excellent quality and excellent value and service..... Can't beat a good Carvery
Highly Recommended
P. W.
Great Carvery - it can get very busy at peak times but the food is always good, decent joint portions, and obviously as much in the way of vegetables as you can eat. I recommend going for the bottomless soft drinks, just fill up as often as you like.
G. P.
The meat portions are a bit of a let down, the chef tried his best to reduce the thickness of slice of beef, needless to say I won't be rushing back.
We tried to order desserts but we're repeatedly told that they didn't have what we wanted.
T. L.
Nice food, nice scenery and at the moment because of whats going on u can just buy a standard carvery and tell them you brought the extra large, save yourself a quid, get some pigs in blankets, happy days
k. b.
We had to queue for about 20 minutes for food the chef who put the portions out was skingee will not use a carvary again until you can serve yourself
P. D.
Always packed. Tables and floor not always the cleanest but staff are friendly and make you feel at home. The food is presented OK and is very good. Toilets have been clean and tidy on my visits.
L. P.
Carvery is alright, but food on the menu is horrible
S. B.
Lovely carvery in a beautiful setting.
T. 1.
Reliable, quality food for a reasonable price (I love mustard mash and roasties😋). Load up your plate with veg and potatoes. Parking may be chargeable at certain times, canal view, abundant outdoor seating, friendly staff and clean 👍 sign up for vouchers and discounts to make the most of it
A. L.
Ok. The food is decent but the drink selection isn't very good and the prices of the drinks are too much for what they have to offer. Nice views but it's generally so busy you feel uncomfortable. It's better if you use the outside seating.
A. L.
Always enjoy a good carvery, the table service they have implemented is brilliant you just fill in your paper slip requesting what you want and they bring it to you. Lazy carvery is the way forward.
G. C.
Amazing view. The buffet could do with some more choices.
M. H.
Amazing customer service and a lovely environment especially when sunny by the canal marina. Tranquil and peaceful. A wonderful place to be.
T. E.
Lovely food, nice staff, great service
P. B.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming Carvery Very nice and tenderTurkey generous portions sizes of potatoes mash/roasts veg and all the trimmings. Good value for money. Excellent access for the less mobile.
d.
Excellent Christmas day lunch.service was top notch.
E. R.
Been waiting to go since lock down finished, worth the wait really enjoyed the carvery
J. B.
Hidden Gem fresh food and friendly Staff
D. S.
Fab u las!!! Awesome place, how busy!!! Still got great service
L. H.
Visited for breakfast. Not a bad place but poor guy behind the food counter was run off his feet as it was so busy and kept running out of eggs. Food was hot but so were serving utensils! Not bad value for money and nice staff gets it 4 stars.
E. C.
Good price and taste. Wonderful location.
s. s.
It's was ok the staff where miserable except the guy in the Pokemon top he seems to be the only one who cared. Food was food the pork tasted suspiciously like the turkey. But all in all we had a good time.
C. W.
Lovely meal.Friendly staff.Lovely location
Z. S.
Carvery food was great, though vegetable variety could have been a bit better at the buffet. Had a really lovely and friendly waitress, I'd rate her 5 stars if I could.
M. C.
Had breakfast this am. Went in at 10..30 sadly it all looked overcooked. The plates were worn with the heat & many were broken & on halves. Having said this I have been before & it was acceptable.Staff friendly & attentive. I advice an earlier sitting when hopefully the food would be fresher.
S. A.
As expected. Though service a little slow on this occassion
J. W.
Lovely hot food, easy and fast service and enjoyes our meal by the water 👍
C. 2.
Great value for money. No Michelin star but if you are on a budget this place is great for Carvery. I must say though, they have great choices for vegetarians and vegans.
R. C.
Staff incredibly helpful and accommodating however the mash potatoes we're not as good as I was expecting as there was a taste of something sour and crunchy lumps in it maybe there was another vegetable mixed in with it but I don't remember seeing anything saying that it was mixed with something else but the roast potatoes were really tasty and the selection of meat and veg more than made up for it also the chocolate fudge cake with both pouring cream and whipped cream and my husband's treacle sponge and custard finished the meal off wonderfully next time I go I will make a point of reading the labels correctly but really enjoyed my meal and drinks and never had a problem with anything before thank you for a lovely experience especially to Marie who served us
J. A.
Food nice, staff could serve with a smile. They all look depressed 😁
S. G.
Lovely to go and all back to normal but still got hand sanitising stations on entrance to building and entrance to the food
S. L.
Usual Toby carvery food but in a beautiful location. It's light and airy inside and the staff are lovely. We had a lovely visit and will be going again we enjoyed so much.
K. O.
Good food in a good atmosphere. Have a carvery... You'll love it .
J. B.
Great service, great food, shame there was no mash on the day, served by Marie who was lovely
J. P.
Can't fault this Toby Carvery, always do their best for me and my family every time we go in, from remembering our drinks and helping my elderly mother with her plate from the carvery deck,
Always smiling and the atmosphere is always great.
Very rarely go elsewhere.
A. H.
Called in on the off-chance one Sunday lunch, the place was heaving but still managed to find a spot for four people. Great choice of meat on offer, but if busy be prepared to queue for the carvery.
G. B.
Food ok, Yorkshire's were crispy very messy on the station when not very busy
F. O.
Vegetarians beware: overall nice dinner & polite staff. But. Blonde carver young lady with arm tattoo collected stray Yorkshire pudding to put back on pile by skewering it with meaty yellow carving fork (from turkey stand?). I tried to get my own Yorkie to avoid that meat one. Also the broccoli & brie parcel was nice but had no broccoli in it bar few flecks which looked bit like the herbs (never ordered this before so not sure if same at other branches?). Usually have excellent experience at Toby carveries as a veggie so feel bad to not be able to give a better review.
J. G.
Gorgeous food as always, very happy self service is back.
N. D.
Always a good value tasty brekkie, free car parking too.
R. W.
Love the views and outdoor seating area. Breakfast service worked well but would prefer filter coffee on tap like before
R. &. J. H.
The carvery was as expected & upto Toby standard, good & plenty of it. The atmosphere was VERY hot, so hot that it wasn't comfortable so we didn't stay as long as we might have. Toby can't help the weather so we will call again but maybe sit outside.
D. H.
Always enjoy going here. The food is consistently very good and the staff greet you and treat you very well. Highly recommended and will no doubt be going again shortly.
A. W.
Good carvery with excellent choice of meats and vegetables.
J. G.
Lovely outlook across the Marina. Excellent choice and value for money menu. Pay Parking is good and the cost incurred can be recouped inside the Restaurant on payment of your bill.
c. s.
Those sausages were lovely. Some of the bacon was a bit hard and over cooked. Some of the fried eggs are under cooked. Still slimey on the top like when they come out of the shell. Not a lot of effort to splash oil over the yolks so they go pink and the yorkshire puddings were rock hard
T. M.
Would give 3.5 stars , cannot be called a carvery due to covid as all is served for you so you get what you're given, food was good but roughly slopped on a plate is MUCH better normally, without covid restrictions!!!
K. W.
Friendly staff and lovely food. Breakfast recommended
P. E.
Fresh meat and friendly staff. After trying both the carvery and the food from the menu multiple times, I can say that the food is quite excellent. I would recommend this place to families and anybody looking for a relatively cheap enjoyable meal.
S. R.
Absolutely amazing service and food! Would highly recommend and I will be 100% be going back 😊
N. W.
Food was ok….. Limited breakfast options, and host didn’t explain the process very well.

I have been here a number of times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, and great value for money. Staff are also friendly and the location is ideal near the canal.

Great selection of breakfast items, lovely food and you can sit right next to the marina. Been here several times for dinner and brekkie is nice too, all you can eat as well for £4.49 till 11am.

Only visit on a Sunday morning just to have a catch up with my lovely son, anyways food is okay for me,,,,,, however earwig tell me eggs are overdone, and bacon is a bit rare, however when the gorgeous hayley is kitchen queen, the world is a better place.. 😊 😊

Although the food tasted ok the majority of it was on the cold side of warm. It doesn't help that they supply cold plates. Nice view if you could see it through the very dirty Windows.

Nice place but was to busy and most items of the desserts was not available.

Staff were miserable and rude, customer service lacks here. We asked if we could have change from a note for the parking and was answered with 'I haven't got a magic key to open the till with, you'll have to wait for someone to pay for something' . Nice to sit next to the marina with a drink in the summer.

The kids love the place and any excuse to go there. It's Toby Carvery for Christmas, birthdays, occasional Sunday's. Staff always polite and friendly, plus the table ready notification boxes are brilliant.

Organised, good food and drink. Full corona virus protection. Enjoyed a great lunch with friends.

Went with a group of ex work colleagues for a retirement do. Nice side room to ourselves. Food as good as ever. Staff unobtrusive but still managed to clear tables...
Looking forward to visiting again

Good food very nice place to visit with family service to pay the bill was a bit slow but overall the food was good and so is having refillable drinks nice outdoor seating area when you have finished your meal. Alcohol is a reasonable price

Nice carvery, good food, takes a while to get served at the bar. Popular and busy at most times. Can sit right on the water side. Pay meters to park but only on at certain times and days.

We went last weekend for prince and pirates breakfast . I can't do anything but praise this place . The breakfast was very nice and hot .the staff were warming and couldn't do enough for you . I would recommend going here not just for breakfast but for the vast carvery that they provide .
Will be going back I can assure of that .
