S. S.Food was really good and great value for money. However why they don't sit couples and families with young kids in separate areas I just do not understand, it's not a difficult thing to understand or to do.
Comment on the response from the owner:
We were given a table in a quiet corner which was initially fine and we had no reason to decline the table we were given. However we did not expect that two families with young kids would later be seated right next to us. It showed a complete lack of thought by the staff. Given that we were a couple we should have been offered a table in a quiet area if that was an option.
N.Great verity of meat and veg. Shame you're not allows a sausage unless you upgrade your plate size??
Amazing Yorkshire Puds...... as always.
Both boys loved the mac cheese, especially nice to have that as an option for my vegetarian son.
Roast potatoes where hard tho, needed longer in the oven.
No bread sauce :(
Lots of seats were split which really brought the place down....... actually put a friend of mine off going again after our previous visit. I hoped the chairs would have been replaced/covered by now??

Eggs been sat there for while and all rubbery. So I recommend you order scrambled as cooked to order.

Coffee old style in pot. Help yourself. Nice and strong from being sat on the hot plate for long time. I worked at a Toby about 30+years ago And they seem to have gone back to the old coffee machines and glass pots which are probably much cheaper option than the fancy machines of today.. and much quicker if you in a rush
M. H.We were taking advantage of 50% off main meals voucher. It was busy. We booked though, were seated promptly. Drinks served immediately and queue for the carvery was only about 10 people. Meal was lovely. Can't fault service, staff or organisation of the whole team. Thank you
