Reviews of Bridge Builder
V. C.
The food was great value and of high quality. The service however was slow with a few minutes wait to be served at the till due to the location being short staffed. Generally it was an okay experience and we would visit again.
S. J.
Most of our food was lovely which we didn't have to wait long for at all. I had the jumbo fish that I have pictured and I loved it, my dad had a burger though which wasn't as good, it was a bit bland and the garlic ciabatta we ordered wasn't very impressive but the rest was fine and my mum loved hers too. Staff were also very kind and polite but could do with a few extra especially at the bar. If I was to suggest a couple of things though I would say that it could do with a wider range of cider drinks and also needs a refurbishment as it looks outdated. Overall though we liked it and would come again soon.
D. P.
Food was absolutely amazing, large portions, really tasty. The curry was good, onion bahjis a little stodgy, but overall, the food and service here was really good.
S. H.
The place's deco is starting to look a little worn out but don't let that put you off.
The staff are very welcoming and we didn't need to wait long for our salads. I had a steak salad, it was cooked as I asked and the portions were just right size for a bit of lunch.
Perfect place to have a bite to eat when out and about.
D. H.
Honestly I've avoided this pub for 3 years now as the food was always rubbish as this was down to not having a good chef. So bit the bullet and returned and I had a breakfast and dam it was really good and the staff were very good and friendly. I was very surprised. Not had a main meal so can't review but the breakfast wast brilliant.
A. J.
The staff were friendly, but lacking. Had to wait at the bar a while to be served. I ordered Roast beef dinner, I got a flame grilled steak, when the menu states hand carved roast top side of beef. They need to update the decor and put something out for the kids to do like crayons and an activity. The food came promptly. The mushrooms on the full English were not fried, they look as if they had been grilled. I can't complain too much. the kids menu was ok. The other 2 meals were OK.
J.
We had a great meal here. Service very attentive and friendly but although quiet when we went we felt the meals took a bit of a while coming. Atmosphere was good ample parking good food at a good price.
L. D.
Really good food, and the staff were also very attentive. Had all three of the major continental beers, which is quite amazing these days, with all the micro brewery business and that.
Slight disappointment with the music only available to persons outside the premises, which could possibly encourage smoking (say no young guns!) But it wasn't enough to remove the fifth star.

Mid-afternoon ~3pm on a Monday, was very quiet, nice atmosphere, clean, staff were excellent very friendly and accommodating.
Had a bargain meal deal £6 mini mixed grill, was very good for the price.
Unfortunately they had no ales on tap, Greene King IPA and John Smith's were unavailable, only lagers were available.
C. H.
Staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the Thursday night quiz. Food was really nice. We also went there for breakfast and again for dinner with my parents and we could not fault the food or staff.
C. B.
1. First time visiting and very impressed. We're vegetarian and there was plenty on the menu for us to choose from. Prices were average & I see there are some special offers on certain days (We went on a Thursday, unfortunately the burgers we had were buy one get one free on the Friday not Thursday). Nice atmosphere & lovely and clean when we were there, which was early afternoon.
2.Another visit today, this time we went early evening. Still great place to eat but disappointed that they still have problems with their menu items. Several things not available! We did however manage to find something we liked and it was very nice. Our 6 year old grandson who came with us especially enjoyed his pizza.
A. B.
Service and team were good. Found a small piece of blue plastic in ring of sausage but I let them know and they were very apologetic and offered free items. I was not after something for nothing like most people. Just wanted to let them know there always an issue. They took it back to kitchen to look for any issue.
T. T.
Disappointing experience. Very little food available so couldn’t order any of my favourites or back up options. Eventually settled for the mix it up which was nice. Manager seemed disinterested and just listed off all the items which were unavailable but offered no apology. Would have been quicker to say what was available. Waitress was polite. Clearly an issue with management failing to order correct stock.
H. A.
Nice place. Play bit is big enough for kids to have fun, but not to big you loose sight of them, like at some places. Food was yummy too and fairly priced
A. M.
Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and it was not too busy when we visited. They have a very good menu at reasonable prices, and don't forget check out the specials
J. R.
Went for a meal here for dinner today and although the order got a bit muddled up the staff member konrad that came to check on our table got it sorted immediately he was very polite and helpful and overall we were very happy with our time here food tasted great and honestly I can't complain very highly recommended
R. S.
Visited the wacky warehouse today and was welcomed by kristie who was very friendly and playing with the kids which was nice to see. There was big kids being rough around the little ones but I told kristie it got sorted. The food was fast and excellent a very plesent visit
E. L.
I enjoy coming here. It is what I like to call cheap and cheerful! We are always greeted and seated within a few mins of arrival. The decor is inviting, maybe a bit outdated in areas but nothing major. The staff always seem to be happy and helpful too.
I have been on a quiz night, I didn't join in as my cat had gone missing at the time & because I was worried, I didn't feel like staying too long. But the quiz did sound fun and we are going to go back and join in!
The app allows you to order from your table, which is great of ease. The one thing that stops it from being the perfect app, is that there is no comments for the kitchen. So you can't make notes like if you are allergic, or for a substitution, or something like that. So that would be a nice touch on the app.
My only somewhat negative is there isn't a great variation of veggie food. Now I know this is a case with many places and I get that - it's not really a complaint but a little more variation would be nice. There is a lot of halloumi dishes. I love halloumi but I find that the dishes only seem to have battered and it ends up tasting really salty.
But otherwise, I do like to come along and I will join in the quiz next time! :)

Now re-open after the latest lockdown.
All table service either via "green king app" or serving staff.
Good value pub food served in a clean, safe environment.
L. W.
Food was enjoyable at a cheap price and would definitely recommend for a family meal, Ryan who served my family food was extremely helpful and welcoming no matter how busy he was!
A. C.
Large choice from the menu 2 for £10.99 excellent value Friendly and chatty lady at the bar made us feel very welcome and our meals arrived quickly All round a good experience and will be returning
Returned for big plate specials excellent meals served piping hot and quickly(Wednesday evening so fairly quiet) Made very welcome by bar staff
Venue looks clean and well presented
Returned last night Quite busy but still quick service and food out in 20 mins Tried the steak and ale pie very tasty with plenty of filling
Cant recommend highly enough
R. T.
Pub in itself was very nice, our meals were lovely and the staff were friendly. Normally I would give 5*. But when ordering online I made the mistake in thinking that the Wrekin pub would be at the Wrekin retail park, so had ordered to the wrong pub. 3wks later and I still haven't had my refund!!
M. M.
Tasty good, friendly service, however a member of my party had certain allergy requirements which weren't met, as they had an allergic reaction later that evening.
P. L.
We had a great morning with our granddaughter. Plenty of things for an 18 month child to enjoy, but the highlight was how engaging the member of staff was. The name of the staff member is Kirsty. She was great with the kids - made sure they were happy. Simple things like handing out a balloon. Thank you Kirsty - you do a fantastic job and we will be back soon. You’re great asset to the Whacky Wharehouse.
P. U.
1st visit to Bridge Builder and I was pleasantly surprised to find a number of vegetarian choices on. Food hot and tastey & lovely clean pub . Will be back for more soon I hope.
A. F.
Good atmosphere very clean and tidy staff were all friendly and helpful and plenty of car parking space did not eat but saw food being served and it looked good
R. M.
The ball area was fantastic, my granddaughter loved it along with painting for the price is brilliant. The two lovely girls working were so welcoming and friendly and the food also tasted great.
l. f.
You get what you pay for. Its a budget chain food company perfect for a quick tea/lunch after the kids have played in the ball pit 😁
k. m.
Good food, lovely staff and a really good soft play for the kids.
A. P.
One of my favourite places to eat. Have been way more times than I can remember and very rarely have an issue. Friendly, helpful staff
C. W.
Staff were lovely and friendly, food wasn't brilliant.
c. b.
Excellent service good food reasonably priced clean and friendly.
D. W.
Decent pub grub...don't expect the ritz but decent food at a decent price
J. B.
Nice food fairly cheap and wacky warehouse is next door only down side is the wacky warehouse is so out of date with stuff they need to re vamp the place definitely !! Even the seats in the play centre are hard and uncomfortable
S.
Meg did everything she needed to do! The food was great, the only thing I would recommend is the bar staff to clean down glasses as it leaves stains and it's not very polite to drink from. Cheers.
J. C.
Food was OK but not great, steak for 8.50 so couldn't really moan 🤣, place needs a good refurb, torn seats and general state of disrepair, kids enjoyed the whacky warehouse.
D. W.
Never had a bad meal. staff are great, keep it up 👍👍😁
M. S.
Been today, staff were brilliant visited restaurant and the soft play area, Meg was my server and she was brilliant, bar staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble
M. R.
Just been to the bridge builder 8 of us staff great food good value for money and being Thursday free desert with big plate meals too full to eat them at the time so given to take home
s. m.
Had a lovely meal for my mum's birthday. Food arrived quickly and everything was cooked nicely (party of 6)
Staff were friendly and attentive and Ashley the manager made sure we has everything we needed.
K. W.
Nice cheap pub grub, great for the kids as there's a wacky warehouse. Took a long time for our food to come out as there was a huge party in the wacky Warehouse but the pub was fairly empty, although the food was worth the wait and was hit when it came out.
B. B.
Fantastic food! All freshly cooked and served within minutes! Compliments to the chefs!
I. D.
Good food , good price . Sat out in the sun ; what could be better !
C. C.
Well went on a day trip and thought we'd call in for some food and we wasn't disappointed. I had the vinto burger and it was good but I wouldn't have it again.
I do like do try different burgers.
Some staff that we spoke to was extremely friendly and talkative ( KYLE and MEG) on our table we had a laugh with Kyle the two oldest daughters asked his name and I said I don't no maybe his name is "Mary moo moo" just as a joke and they found it funny, we told Kyle his knew name and he liked it as well.
Meg was very chatty when she was bring us the cutlery and the food.
Massive well done to PHOEBE and the team in the kitchen for doing a table of 30 and our food in the middle of it.
Would recommend it to everyone.
WACKY WAREHOUSE UPDATE.
also attend the next day for a party in the wacky warehouse haven't been in here for near 3 years. Not much has changed in there tbh.
Staff also friendly in the wacky.
Spoke to the staff about the lift for disabled access I myself tired it and it didn't work so I asked to go out of the fire exit as it was going to be easier for us. And a massive thank you to the girls who helped me today.
R. T. B.
This is a Hungry Horse. I have had good experiences and not so good experiences in here. Today was a great in there. Good service from Matthew serving the food but............. amazing to be served by a very professional and friendly young lady who we had met once before. She made such an impression on us the first time we met her and it was a real joy to be served by her today. Thank you Jo, you made our day ✌️👍🍻
D. T.
Not much to look at but the is pretty dam good.

Great food. Our new favourite place to eat in Telford.
S. d. R.
Great staff great food service with a smile love it here
D. &. L. T.
We ate here for the second time this week, and for the second time this week I have been compelled to extend my compliments to the front of house staff for their service, and the chefs for their amazing food.
We were served by Megan, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our meals, and was very attentive when making sure we were all okay during the time we spent eating.
There was also a male front of house worker who was on the floor generally looking after the guests, and he was very quick to replace the bottle of mayonnaise that I was struggling with due to it being empty.
Both of the above mentioned staff are an absolute credit to your team, and I'm sure I won't be the last person to praise them for their sheer brilliance.
All of our food was cooked to absolute perfection, and while I had some reservations about my steak being served on a sizzling plate, the fried onions and peppers were a wonderful addition, and along with the barbecue sauce, complimented my steak beautifully, all while keeping it blue which was absolutely perfect.
My children's meals were absolutely amazing, in presentation and in portion size, and my Wife's meal was also cooked to perfection, with the typical barbecue flavour you'd expect from a grill, and again keeping it perfectly blue on the inside.
In terms of all the above, I am proud to say that The Bridge Builder has made a permanent customer out of me and my family, and I would like to congratulate the manager and all of the team for running such a a superb restaurant.
J. W.
Staff and service is very good, food is edible.
N. H.
Nice food, it wasn't quite hot but tasty anyway. The decor needs some attention but overall a good experience.

Friendly and welcoming staff, great prices and good quality food, lots of parking
s. e.
Unfortunately we arrived on a Thursday around 6.30pm and due to lack of staff they were not taking walkins.... even for just a drink. But capacity was about 30% at best.
M. P.
My 1st visit food excellent service good
K. B.

A. A.
Came for Christmas dinner and it was wonderful. Stressless, great food, everyone was well spaced out despite it being quite busy. The staff were very attentive and cheerful. Second year in a row we have had Christmas dinner here and both have been lovely.
S. G.
Always had a really nice meal from here, with lots of friendly staff.
Have tried a wide variety of options on the menu and haven't been discouraged by any of them.
Really do some good deals here too, highly recommend you check out there daily deals before hand, to find the day that appeals to you the most.
Good portion sizes too.
Good food, at an affordable price, topped with friendly service.
Highly recommend.
N. H.
Like most 'Hungry Horse' establishment - reasonably priced food. But just look at the dessert that my wife and I shared. Soon finished it.
A. R.
Just had a wonderful Christmas dinner here with my family, the meal was outstanding and really large portions, the staff were great, very christmasy and friendly nothing was too much trouble, a lovely experience for Christmas day, thank you to all of the staff for their extremely professional approach and making our Christmas meal a very festive one, merry Christmas !
C. J.
A really great experience for our final meal out (for the time being).
All of the staff that served us from the second we arrived until we left, were fantastic especially our table waitress Megan who left us wanting for nothing and was a real credit to the establishment.
We look forward to returning when everywhere is open again.
Thanks again.
g. p.
Getting back into the swing of being sociable here, and the staff are making it easier for me. Thanks
R. P.

D. L.
We didnt have a booking and they were very accommodating and got us seated straight away. The food was very good quality and very tasty. Our server Megan was outstanding and could not do enough for us. Very happy with our visit and will certainly come again
L. B.
Nice family friendly pub good was nice the only thing that got me was the bar staff not knowing how to prepare some drinks but over all would go again
P. K.
Great fun with family. Lovely staff.
B. P.
Had all day breakfast.. Only just missed being 2 star.. Was OKish but bacon was neither succulent nor crisp.. just tough..
But typical of pub meals since covid lock down..
R. L.
Great place to take the kids to burn off steam especially after school. Staff always polite and friendly. Very clean and safe environment.
K. L.
Excellent food and great service, my Great Aunt who is 91 this year said the Syrup Sponge Pudding and custard was one of the best she’s ever had
N. F.
First time back in over 2 years, food was decent and came quickly and hot, all covid precautions were very clear and pub was clean and tidy. Special mention to the lovely waitress that served us very pleasant happy and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall much improved thumbs up from me
M. S.
Absolutely great meals with some classic and some interesting combinations such as two pizzas and spicy chicken. Good friendly service and perfect Guinness. Recently something went wrong with our food order at the Bridge Builder. They forgot to bring the food out so it was very cold when we eventually got it. But the staff & manager could not have done more to address the issue & make it right for us. Will definitely be eating here again. And they still serve a perfect pint of Guinness!
r. m.
Went because we had a voucher for 40% off. Waited 20 minutes to place order at the bar as it was busy, waited 40 minutes for food. I ordered the chicken kebab : lots of lovely chicken and tasty chips but virtually no salad or dressing. Plenty of food , very good value, but not quite as advertised. Hubby had the gammon which was unfortunately burnt . Very friendly staff. Worth a visit if you're not too fussy.
R. P.
Attended today. Nice meal, service good. But sadly after ordering fish and chips there was no vinegar, and no mustard for my husbands gammon. Run out apparently. Sad when there is a Tes
co store nearby!
e. b.
First meal since re-opening. Great Service as always from FAY who remembered me from previous visits which makes it even more special, food fabulous and piping hot. Will definitely be back again soon. Many Thanks Nick.
S. H.
Brilliant service, great prices, lots of choice would highly recommend
J. J.

E. W.
Great value for money, always clean and staff always polite. Great place for the kids to burn off some energy after school
B. S.
Absolutely delicious and quickly served food every time. Staff are incredibly friendly (Hi to Megan who served us). We were guided through the Covid registration process and were all round helpful even for little things like not being able ro order gravy on the Greene King app. Would definitely recommend.
a.
Nice atmosphere, very clean and tidy, smashing customer service and very very nice food, highly recommend a visit 🙂👍
E. P.
The food was okay. The service was very good
J. W.
The food was delicious,
The pub was quiet but thats expected given its 2020 Our server Megan was very polite, she talked us through the procedure and how to order and was very attentive without hovering.
Very happy with our service. Once restrictions are lifted looking forward to returning
R. B.
Dropped in on the off chance and said if we haven't booked can't eat lost our custom went to the grazing cow and had an amazing meal .
J. L.
Lacking a bit of atmosphere and the food ain't that brilliant. OK, not great. Not keen on kids pubs anyway, that what parks are for.😳
J. L.
We went into the wacky warehouse and also had a late lunch the wacky warehouse was clean and my children loved it.. the food was amazing.. we had a little wait for the puddings but for the price I was amazed at the quality of food.. Will visit again!
C. E.
As always i cant fault this place at all. The staff are brilliant and so helpful and polite. I ordered a starter (bacon bites) with my main and they tasted yummy. I never even noticed they were burnt (because its bacon... Cooked or cremated its amazing) but the manager did and she was over in seconds taking it away and getting it remade... How many places do you know that do that without you complaining about it first? Meal was delicious (jumbo scampi) and the kids had fun.
m. J.
Went the valentine's Day lunch time. Only one on the till so getting drinks a bit slow, she was cleaning tables as well. Typical big company cut down on staff to get more profit. Apart from that, staff very friendly; food good quality and good size. Not to long to wait for it to be served our meal. Fairly good value for that sort of establish. Pudding good size and value. Will go again when around that area.
C. F.
Come here often, excellent members of staff, all very friendly, Meg was great, Will definitely be back!
G. S.
For a business lunch it was spot on, plenty of space to talk, nice food at a decent price. Pleasant staff
T. B.
We always stop here whenever we go away, the saff are always so polite smily and hapoy to see us . The food is amazing alwayshitand taste amazing . We makesure that we get here for a first stop no matter where we are.
Well done everyone at the Bridge Builder you makeare journey
R. F.
Amazing evening meal today at bridge builder, staff were very friendly and sat us quickly, we were in a booth and our toddler wanted cbeebies, staff tried to get this on but when unable moved us to another table. Food came fast and was very hot and tasted amazing, my only downside would be the food was so plentiful I had no room for pudding.
K. K.
After a 5 hour drive, we were stopped off for a meal. We expected it to be heaving as it was 6.00pm on a Friday night.
Although it was busy we were given the option to get a drink and wait or try somewhere else. By the time we got our drink we were seated!
We placed our order at the bar which once again was busy, however the everything was ordered and served quickly and was tasty and well prepared.
All the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. After chatting to them about us moving here to life the all sugessted areas to look and avoid! On leaving they popped over to say goodbye and said we hope you find your dream home up here.
All in all very impressed
J. W.
Fab day out for allthe family fabulous views and a nice walk around
D. D.
Service was very friendly. Broke my cardinal rule of ordering steak for me and my dad. Mine wasn't brilliant, dad's was like formula one tyre rubber. Happily staff had no issue, though second steak wasn't much better.
C. “. E.
First meal here in over year and half. Not dissapointed. Great food, great service. Big Plate Tuesday should include more options from the menu
J. E.
Popped in for a quick lunch. very friendly hard working staff but not impressed with food. Disapointed as this was A Hungry Horse pub they didn't do a daily carvery so I had a tasteless scampi that went cold quickly as served on a cold plate. My husband had a spicy more than tasty curry. The place was cold too no atmosphere.l wont hurry back anytime soon.
H. M.
Nice food waitress that served us was friendly enough
A. A.
We stopped at the Bridge Builder after a lond bike ride, so happy to find a pub that serves meal on sunday at 19.00. We was really warm welcomed and seated on the table that we wished and ordered fish and chips. After a while we was wondering what is going on with the food when the manager came to our table and said that our meal went on the floor, but the situation is in control and they are already preparing new ones. So in order to compensate us she offered to give us two small fishes each instead of the big one and also a free drink by choice. She was so nice and appologetic and we was really happy to accept the compensation. The fish was deliscious and fresh and we deffinitely reccomend this pub for a good meal on excellent price! Special thanks to the manager who react in this situation with calm and made us happy.
p. c.
Food not bad, however the whole place could do with a refurb. Ripped seating is not a good look.
m. b.
Nice restaurant, very friendly helpful staff, I ordered the chicken tikka and whilst it was cooked, the chicken pieces were all different temperatures, so pieces were hot, some warm and some were cold. I didn't complain because it was cooked and still nice, just something to watch out for. Overall, had a nice meal.
M. B.
Great place, we come here quite often. The staff are friendly and are always on hand to help with anything, the food is always good and there are games and tv's for the kids to play with/watch while waiting for the food. On my last visit there was a £15 family meals deal on, excellent value for money - 2 adults meals, 2 kids meals and a massive dessert. My kids love it here and that is why we visit often.
J. p. M. (.

Super efficient using the app to order, food was spot on and quick! All staff super friendly and helpful too!
j. j.
All I can say is thank you so much for accommodating our party of 20 whom decided at last minute we wanted to eat out! The food was amazing. Not one person complained! This in itself is a first! We will most definitely be going back for more. Even the ones with special needs asked to go back. A huge thank you from all of us. Lynne and family.
S. G.
Very good menu choices at reasonable value. All our food was hot and tasty. Drinks and desserts are over priced and dessert was too big. Half the portion and reduce the price!
Service was very friendly. Overall, a very good experience and will be returning.
K. K.
Nice food and drink. Wonderful and helpful staff. They do a few gluten free meals. Fewer vegan meals. Dining area is comfortable and relaxing. They take card and cash payments. Large car park. Free to park in. Toilets nice and clean. Perfect stop for when you're done with your shopping at the retail park.
C. C.
Friendly staff. Nice hot food
s. r.
Less than average eatery. Fast service with a smile. Portions were undersized but tasted o.k. Hadn't used for 10 years and now I know why. Not a bad experince but I'd rather pay more for my food and get better quality.
R. A.
Went on a Wednesday £5.50 for a curry and pint. I had beef madras was pretty good for the price. This place is never gonna be top rate food its pub grub at reasonable prices. Would deffo recommend to friends and family.

Very good food for the money. Megan served us in a quick time and the everyone was polite and friendly. Would happily come here again.
M. W.
Similar to many pubs the seem to sell mostly ciders or lagers. They had 1 pump with IPA but had run out .i wanted food and the guy that serve me was polite but there were four people in the queue initially and only 1 person serving at the bar.i just wanted a quick meal so chose fish and chips .it was serve reasonably quickly but i found the batter on the fish rather greasy and overall the meal was adequate but not particularly filling . After the meal i stayed for the speed quiz which is what i went for initially .i thought the DJ had the sound turned too high has his speech was quite distorted and a little difficult to hear clearly but it was an enjoyable evening and i will return
A. S.
Went out last night everyone's food was cooked lovely, except i had a little problem my steak was over cooked but it was easily resolved and i received a new steak quickly. The pudding was lovely and large in size, well worth the money. Great food for a good price :)

Went yesterday (18th December). Excellent Customer service from Megan throughout the night. Food was of high quality. Will definitely be returning. This is how a restaurant should be.
S. W.
Husband said his beef in ale pie was a bit tough and not enough chips. But the play area for the kids is fantastic and we didn't have to wait to long for all our food as there was a family of 6 and a baby. So over all a 3 and a half. X
M. B.
On first visit we were very pleased. On second visit they have reduced portion sizes. We had jumbo fish and chips and mushy peas and the peas were so small we had to order extra portions apparently it's new sizing and at £8.95 was far too much
M. C.
Cheap food, ideal for young families. Don't go if you want good food cooked well and served quickly. Extremely noisy! Loud music makes people talk louder and the whole place was a din. Scampi over cooked and veggie cury not enjoyable....beetroot was a surprise! Don't advise of table service after placing your order and then not once visit our table once to see if we required any more drinks. On the whole not an enjoyable experience as the pub felt very chaotic.
z. s.
We always enjoy come and play in Bridge builder Wacky Warehouse soft play area. Its lovely soft play with great personal.Kids csnt stop tolk about when we csn come back again
C. R.
Same as all other Hungry Horse establishments it's cheap and cheerful. The staff here are lovely and helpful but the toilets are a bit rundown and could do with an uplift. Decent amount of parking although the car park is awkward to get off because of where it is situated (a busy retail park)
T. D.
The kitchen staff once put the mega hot wing sauce on a child's pasta mistaking it for the tomato pasta sauce. Luckily, my partner tried it first and she nearly died instead of her little sister.
This isn't a negative review, I live for drama like this.
A. P.
We come here every monday for a cheap evening meal and are yet to be very disappointed. Considering it is a low priced restaurant pub, the grub is quite nice, hot and always comes fairly quickly. Big plate/jumbo meals are massively filling and very good value. The only negative I can think of is when you order a coke they fill the glass further than an inch from the top - it always looks like someone's taken a massive swig before presenting it to you.
J. E.
We haven't been for some time. But I'm very pleasantly surprised.
Our meals were piping hot and very tasty.
Staff we really friendly too.
We will definitely be back
D. W.
The food is nice - not the best but nice. It is a well laid out pub, nicely decorated.
It has a wacky warehouse which is usually an attraction for my family. However after letting my kids go in the wacky a few times we would never use the wacky at this pub ever again. Each time there were very rough children playing, that were bullies and slightly abusive. Staff would not assist and parents did not want to know. This I can understand being a one-off but it has happened in this way a few times.
My children refuse to use this wacky and are happier at a wacky at another venue where the children seem to be less thuggish.
Other than the wacky this is a nice pub
C. F.
Decent wacky warehouse with dedicated staff, helpful and friendly 👌
p. p.
Excellent service today. The member of staff serving us went out of her way to resolve problems she could see I was having, when my grandchildren couldn't understand why the ice cream on display weren't on there menu. She not only helpers me, but also left the children very happy.
M. B.
Food was nice chicken off the mixed grill was really dry an chewy tho. And food turned up an was sat 2/3 minutes thinking the waiter went to get our knifes and forks didn't come back and bar staff wasn't bothered. Food 4 stars customer service 2 stars
J. S.
Great experience!! Megan who waited on our table was very attentive and personable!
The food was really good and reasonably priced.
A. M.
Recently been taken over by hungry horse. We met at 430, 8 of us in total. We rang the day before and were told we weren't allowed to book so we were a bit worried about not being able to get a table. But we got one. Ordered food and it came out within 20 minutes. All was hot.
But as we were eating we were sat quite near the door. People were coming in and being told it was a 20 minute wait for a table even tho half the tables were empty. A lot of people went else where I'm guessing because of this wait. We even heard the person at the entrance say "are you going to wait or do you want to go else where?" I didn't expect to hear that.
I'd say avoid in peak times because they aren't coping with it being busy.
J. G.
This place is great for a quick cheap meal for the family. The food is good, not bistro but it's cheap so as expected. Kids will love the ice cream sundaes and it has a Wacky Warehouse attached. Service was quick and friendly.
J. S.
Like the new decor which has been put in, the food is good, its not gourmet but its not terrible! The staff are always friendly and its good for deals on food! Only drawback is sometimes you walk in and have to kind of do the awkward wait where it says "wait to be seated" can be slow sometimes to be seen to! Overall a good place
C. M.
Good service and value for money
L. C.
Visited for a family meal. They let us reserved a small area to ourselves which turned out to be a good move...
One of the younger members of the group had had one too many fruit shoots beforehand, and ended up chundering everywhere. Staff were really helpful getting gloves, paper towels and a bin bag for her clothes.
There was a bit of a delay on the last meals coming out, but we did order separately (perhaps also linked to the aforementioned incident?).
Have previously had a bad experience at the Bridge Builder, getting cold food when with a larger group, but this was not the case on this occasion. Would likely return now.
R. J.
Went for Christmas dinner with my daughter & grandsons. Wasn't really impressed with the turkey dinner, over cooked veg, turkey slices out of a packet. Ordered a side of how blankets ,described as mini beef burger wrapped in bacon, turns out to be minced beef & bacon wrap deep fried bloody vile all I could taste was grease. Not impressed at all .😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
A. J.
The food at the bridge builder is very nice, you get a lot for what you pay.
The venue is your traditional pub style layout, but it is a relaxed environment with nice seating arrangements.
Staff are friendly and the range of drinks / food are good, definitely worth a try if you're in the area.
K. G.
Took wife here today. Not very busy but waited welll over half hour for just a burger and chips. It came, the burger was not cooked it was red raw in the centre, we asked for an exchange, which they were very glady to oblige but then waited another 20 mins. We got impatient and just asked for a refund for our food which they gave us 😁
Could not fault the waiter who was serving us. Himself and the manager could not apologise enough.
R. F.
Nice pub. Nicely decorated interior. Friendly. Efficient.
However, when they serve 4 chicken breasts with streaky bacon and melted cheese, it would be very nice if you could taste the chicken, bacon and cheese, but, they then smother the lot in a barbeque sauce that kills the flavour of the dish.
Please cut the amount of sauce down by two thirds. It totally spoiled the dish
M. P.
Megan was a great host and looked after us well. Great to see social distancing enforced. Oh and the food was hot and delicious too.
M. H.
We had a good family meal tonight tb3 , food was hot and fresh. The blonde lady that was working foh was fantastic. She couldn't do enough for our boy and girl they loved her and she made our visit memorable.
N. W.
Not bad at all good food staff friendly and helpful.
J. S.
Lovely staff. Used the app to order which was perfect as we were a table of 9 ( it can be difficult trying to keep 5 children quite enough to order!)
We went for the 'eat out to help out' scheme.
C. B.
Staff were lovely, food was great very happy to go back again
L. B.
Very nice place kids loved playing. Staff are amazing ❤️
C. B.
Very good for kids . Good friendly staff. , lovely food
K. P.
You may have to wait more than 30 minutes. We waited over 50 and after chasing staff were offered a free sweet, but after the wait we did not feel like it. The decor was good, staff friendly
C. S.
Always amazing service. Meg brought us some lovely hot food with a awesome smile.
D. H.
Bar staff were busy, and showed stress, lady behind the bar was sarcastic with people, but that's I would like to think thats cus she was under pressure.
Asked if we would like starters and main separate, but they all came out in a strange order spread over 30 mins
L. F.
Have been for a number of children's parties with my children and with others. Children enjoyed themselves. Food OK could have been more organic (for my taste). Service always has been good. Price is competitive.
J. L.
Works / served food till late. At Sunday food served until 9.30 pm! Good food. Great place! Very friendly staff make you feel so welcome! Paradise for children with tables with TV, lego toys, lots of space around. Fantastic!
F. W.
Although not very busy yet, the staff very friendly, hot food, attentive, going again for their Monday offer
P. M.
Quick meal at a good price
A. L.
Great food at a reasonable cost. Staff are friendly and ready to help. I have noticed that in busy times the few staff are rushed off their feet. Need more front of house staff during busy periods.
E. P.
Good meal - staff friendly and efficient and the price was reasonable - although you have to factor on the cost of the soft play if that is one of the reasons for your visit. Overall a good family experience and the food was well worth the price
R. M.
Nice family pub, great for kids as they have a play area. Was very busy as it was a Sunday and there was quite a lenghty wait for food.
Staff handled it well and the food was nice, shame the portion size for the Large Sunday roast wasn't large!
h. b.
Meal acceptable. No choice on ales.
Considering the weather they could have put the heating on.
T. M.
Really good service from Adam. He encouraged me to use the app to order and I received a 20% discount on my food order. The food was very good. Good choice if seating and tge place was clean and tidy.
R. P.
Great place to eat, good menu selection and choice of beers, ales and spirits. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, even though there are covid restrictions in place, the service was brilliant.
N. R.
We do love this place, the wacky warehouse, staff are always friendly and willing to go out of their way to help, menu is decent and reasonably priced. And tonight I won a free bottle of wine! Really good family friendly pub/eatery. I definitely reccomend The Bridge Builder.
B. D.
Adequate. Long wait for food, some items not available
E. H.
Staff are friendly but service is really slow..the kids meals had to be sent back because their pizza were overcooked, my meal came with mash when I asked for chips when they changed it to chips I didn't get even a handful.. it's a good place to go if you have plenty of time to wait.
S. C.
One dish was late and they agreed taoaa refuanada
K. T.
Food was lovely & filling. Service was really personalised. Would recommend & come back again.
R. J.
On last visit very disappointed with food and service was very poor. Staff forgetting to bring simple drink orders and had to chase for what you paid. Staff don't know where certain tables are located. What is a point in having table numbers if staff don't know where they are?
H. L.
Good value meals. They were initially served cold but the waitress dealt with the problem speedily without fuss. Restaurant area and toilets could do with a major refurbishment.
G. G.
Excellent, good atmosphere. Staff honest and efficient. Prices on par with The Clock Tower Donnington. Very good menu, Only downside, no free refill for soft drink. Chairs a bit hard.
S. H.
My daughter recently had a burger, it was tasty but the chips were just spread on the plate it looked so bare on the plate a little garnish would have made presentation better
d.
Popped in the off chance and was seen to straight away feels safe in here all laid out convid safe food was very nice the young lady Megan was more then happy to help with what we needed, happy to come again
K. S.
Able to get a meal on Boxing Day both had the chicken kebab.
a. l.
Lovely burgers.
Fries great.
Friendly service.
Enjoyed two jugs of godfathers.
Great service from Megan
P. F.
Food excellent, can't complain about any of that. My first visit to the Bridge Builder, I felt it looks in need of a good refurbishment, it looks very tired.
D. S.
Great services lovely food nice place for family meal out reasonably priced have a kids menu and do different deals on each day of the week 👍👍
E. L.
Lovely food since the refirb. Much better and healthier choices. Great for kids, loads to keep them busy while waiting for their food. Tempting ice creams and desserts too. Yum.
t. h.
Had my daughters birthday there were 7 adults 6 kids meals arrived all together and were lovely staff really looked after us would definitely go again
R. J.
Good food and good clean place staff good try it for your family
M. P.
Asked for a gluten free menu and Steve who works there said they don't have one and walked off.
We knew that the Bridge Builder did have a gluten free menu so we had to queue at the bar for 15 minutes to ask for one, rather than Steve providing one for us.
Asked for curry and Steve was asked to check in the kitchen if they had any. Steve took so long that another member of staff was asked and the reply was "yes, we do". 2 minutes later and Steve says "no we don't have curry".
Steve was absolutely useless and disinterested. Well he was disinterested until a couple of young girls walked in and surprisingly his attitude changed to being Mr Helpful around their table.
Come on Bridge Builder, get your act together. Not returning for a while.
R. H.
Great food and plenty for anyone really nice polite people take good care of you, excellent menus for all tastes, no complaints at all, thank you to the staff at the Bridge Builder for a lovely lunch. Rod Hardman
D. T.
The food was really quite good on this occasion, although my medium steak was well done. It has lost stars because there is never enough bar staff, all it takes is a family to be ordering food and with only one person behind the bar, it dosent take long for a long queue to develop. Also the tv's don't work properly. It keeps losing signal and with small children likely to be watching them, having 3 of the 4 bits of wood holding it in place missing, I don't think it would take much for the tv to be pulled out. And one more thing, the wacky warehouse. It's good to see low level urinals, but dad's arnt 3' tall, so the splash back could be quite obvious!!
And one more thing 😅. I have a DDS card which is for military veterans, dispite being in date and having my name on it, and I showed my driving licence for proof of ID, they wouldn't accept it. So I had to trawl through emails from when it was issued to find a code!!. So it's almost 2 starts now, l.
J. C.
Lovely greeting and staff member was fab x seating a problem though all reserved 😀 x
G. F.
Pleasantly surprised at the food. Table of 10 people all with food served at the same time and everyone enjoyed their meals. Fast service too!
W. D.
Could do with a lick of paint but staff are lovely
S. W.
A fantastic place to go to with children as you can drink and eat while the kids play happily in the Play Barn which is excellent. However watch out for the sausages in the breakfasts which are dreadful no matter how often you complain!
S. R.
Nice local pub, polite staff. Good food and a good pint.
M. P.
It's an okay kind of place, was disappointed with the size of the kids menu food.
The place wasn't "food" clean, a good cloth over everything was needed!
It's a shame because the rest of the food was good and of value.
S. E.
Cheap and cheerful. The star rating came from our wait, very long, but they were very busy as they had an offer on that gave you a discount if you ordered by the app.
k. w.
main meals 2 for £9.50 exceptional good meals but jam roly poly desert was poor but try apple crumble next time otherwise would be 5 stars and they have a kids play area 3.75 for an hour would highly recomend
S. C.
Very quiet, food nice and staff friendly x
j. v. l.
Fantastic pub with a great menu and really tasty food. My son was on crutches and they went out of their way to make things easier for him. Thank you.
C. M. A. Q.
Excellent. .. lovely staff... excellent food... we reserved for a family celebration. ... and we were impressed with the service, food and amazing staff... I will recommend it
H. R.
Good price, good food, clean restaurant. Always a lovely experience :)
S. G.
Came today for my Mum's 85th birthday. Lovely food . Although they were busy with it being Father's day we were looked after very well . The young guy who looked after us for the most part was very pleasant and helpful . Sorry didn't catch his name . Thankyou for making Mums special day a day to remember x
J. W.
Food was much better than I expected and far better than it used to be. Added bonus is having a coffee in peace while the child disappears into the play area. Priceless
C. P.
A very good experience I felt safe and Sarah the lady that served us was a joy, very happy in her work and friendly with the customers, nothing was too much trouble for her. I will come back again thank you.
P. T.
Great food & great staff. Very enjoyable experience. Returning soon as so pleased with the service
P. R.
Meet here during the week. Food, drink, tea coffee all available. It can get busy, so book ahead if you can.
Children's menu.
They also do some evening specials like curry on Wednesday.
G. P.
Went for a meal tonite food was OK service nt so only 1 person taking food orders so veryslow and when they bought food out it was pasted over peoples head instead of taken round the table 1 meal was pasted over a 2 year old head if they had spilled it it could have been nasty
S. D.
Lovely staff, food ok but big spidey web above our table sort of put us off, staff member did say it would be dealt with straight away
N. C.
Food came soon after ordering. Large portions. Could barely finish mine. I had the chicken new Yorker. Couldn't taste the cheese that was supposed to be on it but would have the smaller portion next time.
A. B.
Average food and service
N. A.
Very good service and staff.
J. R.
On car park...dirty nappy that had been squashed and left..
Ordered 2 mix grills...Bacon over cooked and black..way to much grease on plate..did inform staff..offered free drink (refused as can only drink 1 pint lemonade)
C. F.
Great menu. Food arrived quickly. Staff were brilliant. Recently refurbished. Also has a wacky warehouse which is great for children.
N. H.

B. P.
Lovely food great servics, good prices great waitresses come again
R. L.
good value food and Izzy was very polite and well mannered.
E. E.
Food and customer service was fantastic. Shame the toilets let it down.
J. D.
Staff friendly and helpful. Food was good for a chain like this. Overall exactly what we needed for a midweek lunchtime meal.
V. S.
food was average chips undercooked and hard steaks very bloody and rare when asked for medium not enough cutlery provided children's facilities should be better organised for the smaller children to be separated from.older kids it wasn't busy so thought more effort could have been put into food been cooked to a better standard at £15.99 for a steak I'd like it cooked properly at least and condiments offered x
U. W.
When I was five, I usually came here and had a very good time. Though It was more than ten years ago, I still remember clearly! Now I live in Japan but I want to visit again!
k. w.
Lovely meal good value for money and staff friendly and competent would recommend
S. E.
Been there several times during, impressed with staff, food was nice and well presented
j. h.
They do good steaks. Other food OK. Service slowish and you need to attract their attention. Prices good.
D. T.
Great and helpful friendly staff, lovely place and atmosphere, tasty food and a great place for the family.
L. H.
Service shocking, under staffed, food was nice but cold such a shame, 1h wait, starter and mains came same time????? On the plus side we were given free return wacky warehouse tickets x
H. R.
Been a few times over the last month and it's nice the staff are friendly and don't bother you they just leave you to it witch is nice. But I have to say a big thank you as my husband left his phone there today and they rang up to say they had it. Thank you
J. E.
Decent grub and my daughters liked the booths with building blocks and built in TV's. Not like these other franchises that sit everyone cheek to jowel so you can hear every word thats spoken on the next table. Bridge builder offers some privacy which is good!
m. o.
Great food and value for money. Excellent service. Ate in the Wacky Warehouse as we had the children. Why can't the furnishings be as comfortable as in the Bridge Builder???
A. F.
Came here with family and friends there was lots of seating available, food was good and staff very friendly and helpful, we had a lovely time .
W. C.
When you order Gammon, egg & chips and are brought Gammon, jacket & salad as the server clicked on gluten free option! 😞

I love the Bridge Builder as a very good value food pub. I have been using this establishment for well over 20 years.
I was in there just 2 days ago. At Easter
Excellent !
N. C.
Great food great value and friendly staff, pity the boiler was not working for a cup of tea, but they still served it and billed me.
J. B.
Had a lovely meal here with my daughter . Just a week ago. Lovely food. Nice service.

K. T.
Perfect experience, great service, and food was so delicious!
S. G.
Nice pub, reasonable meals, but wish there was a better choice of beer apart from John Smith's. They seem to think everyone drinks either lager or cider.....
A. F.
It was an enjoyable experience and the staff were very accommodating to our needs woth regards to the food.
p. B.
Granddaughters birthday party for 16x5year olds. The staff where real good, the kids all enjoyed the food.

Staff is ok the food well not to bad but you only get what you pay for. I will not go again but try it see what you think
S. N.
It was ok but we had to wait 40mins for our food and I had a full breakfast and some of the bacon was unacceptable and shouldn't have been served and the chicken combo was very dry but very average 😑
j. w.
Good food
P. F.
Nice pub. Decent food. Staff friendly. More draught ciders would give it 5 stars.
N. M.
Enjoy our meal
K. F.
Unclean, and while there the fire alarm went off, none of the staff know what to do with the customer, found myself walking away with my child at this point as not a great experiance. They seemed understaffed and unhappy.
S. T.
Friendly enough staff although when I asked for water I got a slight sneer (was driving and don't drink pop) Steak was really nice 12oz rump standard oven chips and peas not a bad price £11ish Overall I would go again
W. B.
Friendly staff. Very nice meal, worth the money. Different deals each day of the week.
A. D.
Very friendly, nice food and welcoming environment. Great for families with children, play area for children 2.50 per child.

Food hot.
1 star minus for the wait.
J. C.
Loved it here. Staff are really friendly and the food is excellent value for money
G. C.
Great food and low prices for quality produce. I will admit that a few years ago I wouldn't go near here with a barge pole for food but now we go regularly.
P. C.
Really like this place never had a problem with the food staff are always helpful play barn for the kids and really good deals on the food really can't go wrong
M. T.

T. M.
Food ok but too busy for what I'd call good service. Will give it another go sometime
L. W.
Nice large portion had to wait 45 minutes but still enjoyed our food
K. D.
Well priced food, decent menu. Large seating areas for families and good beer
