Popped in for a dinnertime drink. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Booked early bird meal for the evening. Meal was excellent. Plaice with new potatoes and salad as well as a side of vegetables. Followed by chocolate Fudge cake. Our first visit but certainly not our last! Thank you for a lovely experience.

We were a group of 17, a challenge for any pub. They had the sense to begin taking orders before everyone had arrived so that food was served reasonably rapidly and as near at the same time as possible. Food was good and portions generous. There were no lite bite alternatives though. Limited desserts. Good and pleasant staff. Individual payment facilities available. Clean and presentable but unexciting interior.

A lovely local pub. Sadly quiet due to the pandemic but as usual the staff were fantastic and the food devine (although the portion sizes were enormous). Prices are extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for either a quiet drink or a family meal.

The atmosphere and service was excellent and nothing was to much for the staff. We where a party of 5 four of which were 74 years plus of age, they all had starters main and dessert rangeing from soup white bait etc. I had a 16oz rump steak chips salad mushrooms tomato and there was a side dish of veg, presentation of the meals was excellent only fault was that the ladies said the starters were a full meal in its self but their dessert didn't stay in there dish for long 😊. Price wise the other people's starters main and dessert with a drink averaged about £20 and mine was £18, l highly recommend this place for a nice meal.

We have visited the area from Manchester. We were out walking and this pub look clean and tidy so we went in for some lunch. The Landlady made us feel like a long lost friend. The staff were so nice. We had hot sandwich and chips. Not expensive and very tasty. Well worth a visit we will be back soon.

Went for a Sunday Roast, of a good standard if nothing fancy. Pate starter with enough toast which makes a nice change, side salad good maybe needed a little onion relish or chutney to raise the experience. I had the Roast Beef which was both tender and tasty, there was plenty and the others liked their Turkey. Lots of vegetables supplied which is nice and, included in the price. Not a fan of sauces served in sachets but this is a no frills venue. My only gripe is the Roasties although tasting nice could of been crispier but the gravy was above average so a minor moan. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. I cannot comment on value for Money as another paid and its rude to ask. Recommended family venue for a Roast Dinner.

Friendly, great pub. Huge portions. Mixed grill will feed family of 4 for a week! Nothing too much trouble. Can cater for your groups i.e. we had a buffet with masses of food for a birthday. Landlady and staff always happy & friendly. Never had a meal we were disappointed with. Have a great big area to sit in outside as well, fenced in so kids are okay and their is a play area. Good selection of beer too. Gets very popular so book ahead of time and they also do 'meal vouchers' if you want to give one as a gift to anyone or use it for raffles etc. In a word....brilliant!

Just had dinner there today, very friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere in the pub, had the beef roast dinner which was delicious, with fast service. I came to settle up and nearly fell through the floor, 2 meals and 2 drinks and less than 20 quid!! I couldn't believe how cheap it was! It was half the price i would've expected to pay. The staff were all lovely and if we are in the area again that is the place we will be going!

I was there this morning with my family have been to a funeral the place is homely clean the food was fantastic staff friendly and homely it's got a good size car park the food menu was good and reasonably priced I'd recommend it if you're passing and your s going to Telford have you gone the other way to North Wales Holyhead I'll recommend you call in

First of all the staff could not pour a proper Guinness. You do not overfill the pint and then scrape the head off the top leaving the outside of the glass wet and sticky with beer. The food was average but the prices were ridiculous. A starter which was almost 5 pounds consisted of one potato cut in half and topped with cheese and bacon. I would have expected at least twice the portion size given the price. The T bone steak was great and there was a lot, but the hunters chicken was poor. For £15 you would expect more than a simple stew of chicken, bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce, It was quite sickly. Overall a very filling meal, but not worth the ridiculous prices. Go to Weatherspoons instead, you will get the same for a lot cheaper.

Staff was very friendly. food a bit disappointing, the huntsman chicken consisted of small pieces instead of one piece, felt like a childs dish, also the tangy sauce was not very nice too and potatoes a little hard. Pub quiz was going on and there was a full house with a nice atmosphere and it was good to see a pub being so well supported.
