This was a perfect venue for a wake as so close to the crematorium. They put on a great spread and opened especially for us on a Monday when they are normally closed which was so kind. Excellent vegan food was also available and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended!

It is a lovely friendly pub, that serves excellent food and good beer. Darts board and pool table.
Had the Sunday roast today, excellent value for money. A choice of 3 roasts served with creamed leeks, cauliflower cheese, honeyed parsnips, carrots, peas, swede, cabbage, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding(with beef) and gravy. Dogs made very welcome. Well worth the visit, or walk if you are local 😁. Did post a photo but had nearly finished before I remembered, but empty plate and very nearly empty plate speaks for itself😁🍺
We have visited a couple of times since to enjoy the Sunday roasts also fish Friday is an excellent deal, fish and chips twice or scampi and chips twice or a combination of the 2 for £15, you can't go wrong!
Had the lasagne and the steak today scrummy and well cooked!
Always made to feel really welcomed...well done Lisa and the rest of the crew😁😁...sorry forgot my phone so no pictures but will remember next time🙄....
Please check their website as they are having difficulties re food at the moment, they were looking for another chef!

The team arranged for a wake following our Mums funeral. Fabulous catering, great service and very accommodating of a range of dietary requirements. Smashing venue, lovely traditional pub. Highly recommended.

Friendly real Cornish Freehouse local from both staff and locals. Two Skinners ales offered. Excellent pint of Porthleven. Place has potential but is in need of some TLC. Over sized carpark could be reduced in size to accommodate a nice beer garden as it is a great sun trap. An open fire in the bar area would be most welcome in the Winter months.

A lovely local pub which I visit when I see my son who lives there. Hoping it gets full support from the villagers
