Popular Wetherspoons in Warrington, usual menu of good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. Tried the chicken which was very tasty.

3 starters for £12.95. Delicious food and great portion that makes your money worth. Don’t let bad reviews write you off this place until you’ve checked it out for yourself. waiting time was still suitable considering how packed it was. Seatings outside had sun until late, good touch.

My second Wetherspoons. Seems like the other I've been to(King's Head Salisbury). Large, spacious and comfortable but gets a bit noisy - Friday night right now). Food is good and not too expensive especially with a combo drink deal. Staff are efficient and helpful. Good range of beer and cider on tap. On special a pint of beer £2.10! Good range of Spirits and cocktails. Some outside tables mainly inhabited by smokers. 2 floors, downstairs disabled and others upstairs. My one complaint out of my three visits is that the toilets could be maybe checked and cleaned a bi more frequently. Also, would be nice to have a bigger TV downstairs with a news channel on with subtitles. I notice a similar establishment across the road always seems a bit quiet. Good value for money and they don't seem to mind if you linger. Not really friendly and cosy like your Local but I suspect a lot cheaper.

Usual 'Spoons breakfast crowd / visit. Staff helpful, and brekkie delivered quickly, as ordered & typical good quality. App does not warn you to add your free drink, but staff stepped in to sort out. Great place to while away a few hours.

Exactly what you expect of a wetherspoons well priced beer (Guinness is always a good pint). The food is nice and again well priced. The pub is always clean and toilets too which for a pub in Warrington is a rare event. Staff are mostly friendly but when busy they don't always cope well a couple of times I've walked out after standing at the bar and being ignored.

Nice Wetherspoons, quite large with an upstairs to it. The food came quick as normal but the drinks took longer than the meal, could've been a busy night but we had to ask for our drinks again.

Great place great food. Under the circumstances the staff here are doing well. Special thanks to Samir very good at his Job. Also TBH evrey member of staff we came across. We have been in a number of wetherspoons. And in some of them, the customer service and the ORDERS well rules, come across aggressive. Had a lovely night in here on Saturday until we sat with a lady outside who was quite clearly alone and very drunk, we witnessed absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the bouncer who told her to leave the premises or he would move her. The lady then started to cry, she wasn't causing any trouble at all, she didn't know where she was. Anything could have happened to her, all it needed was for the bouncer to ring her a taxi and help get her home safely. She was taken to a taxi by a lovely young group of people. Hope she got home safely.

Good for coffee and a sit down when shopping. Toilets in the gents do not flush very well. Paper and poo left in pans. This can be put right if more water was in the flushing cistern.It will not put me off going there.

Nice atmosphere, great value on food and drinks. A party of three came on a Saturday afternoon, plenty of seating available and the new app and table service was brilliant. Only minor issues are the toilets are upstairs, I have an invisible disability and am often uncomfortable using accessible toilets and this made it harder for me, and the table service via the app seemed to be last priority if the bar got busy, it seemed we had to wait until everyone else had been served even if we ordered before them, overall we were very happy and had a great time.

It's hard to have to name your favourite pub, especially when you like so many. That said, if i was pushed to name a top three, then I'm pretty certain that the Friar Penketh would be amongst them. Certainly not everything is positive, some of the furniture looks like it's been used in a bar room brawl, and at times it can be tricky to get served. But although it is part of a generic chain of pubs, it has more of a feeling of a friendly local, with some regulars of note and a few individual quirks within the pub itself. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, the food is okay and the beer is great. There are many positives that outweigh those odd niggles. So if you get the chance, I recommend you check it out and enjoy it for yourself. You'll be glad you did.

“Customer care” went in for a drink last night when I was waiting ten minutes to get service in an empty pub, but both girls was busy so never said anything, two older ladies was waiting to be served so I said “sorry ladies I have been waiting a long time but was you both before me?” when this voice come from behind the bar “am going as fast as I can and I am shouting who is next?” I was just been polite to the two ladies by asking them was they before me? So customer care went straight out the window, sorry Claudia but if you are busy don’t take it out on me!! The place is clean and I enjoyed the drink, but customer service needs to come first!!

Manageress Blasted new staff member in front of customers, which I found very disconcerting 🤨 Staff member looked embarrassed and upset but apologised to us for something she had been advised to do by another staff member. It was a simple error that she had sorted but was just notifying the manageress of the the reason for a voided transaction. I was mortified for the staff member and feel the manageress's behaviour was totally inappropriate.

We visted for lunch yesterday to celebrate a birthday. My main reason for posting this review is in npraise of the member of staff who served us - her name is Jennifer. What an asset she is to the team at Wetherspoons. She enlightened us on some of the history of the pub which was very interesting and gave us a copy of your newsletter. Jennifer also presented us with the birthday cake which we had brought with us. We had a most enjoyable meal but the service was second to none.

Brilliant as usual. Didn't have any food today as we were shopping, just called in for a drink as the January sale was on in Wetherspoons. I had four pints of Doom Bar at £1-69 a pint, fantastic. Just one week ago at the Empire Theatre Liverpool Lime Street, it cost me £6-00p for just one pint of Doom Bar. Only 18 miles away, absolutely unjustified.
