Had a beer tasting here, and whilst I get that the building is listed and there is a certain amount of 'shabby chic' allowed around craft beer, a bit more effort on sitting people down comfortably for two hours wouldn't go amiss. Also, whilst 90% of the beers were nice, if the purpose is to try a broad range, don't introduce that sour beer half way through, I couldn't taste anything else after that. Few more nibbles too please.

Beer Heroes is a proper little gem for people who love their craft beer, and appreciate the variety that comes with the drink! My dad enjoyed one of the beer tasting sessions, he really enjoyed it and discovered a few more beers that he likes, which he took a selection home with from the extensive bottle shop that is also on the premise. The staff are brilliant - friendly and knowledgeable - I would highly recommend it!

What a find! I've been ordering my craft beer from beer Heroes for a while and this tap house is brilliant. 8 really good beers on draft and 200+ bottles to take away or drink in! The place makes brilliant use of the space and it's obvious from the start that it's a tap room not a fancy bar! Lovely community vibe about the place with everyone chatting and enjoying the vibe. Took my dog and it was fussed over as much as we were! The beer is in keg which may cause conflict with the staunch CAMRA crowd, but when I have visited it's been a great experience.

The staff are absolutely brilliant and have so much knowledge of the trade. The customers are always friendly and happy to chat. Everytime we come here there's always a great atmosphere- and the staff always strive to help you have the best experience. I would definitely recommend popping in as there is a wide selection of world beers (and soft drinks, cider etc if you ask for them) and they even have the hard to get beers on tap such as cloudwater. 10/10 one of our favourite places to go for a drink.

Great little bar at Helsby train station. Friendly helpful staff, good selection of ales. There is a shop there too with a good selection. It was a bit cold inside but it did not put me off and I will definitely go there again for a drink!

Really friendly craft beer taproom and bottle shop located in the old waiting room at Helsby train station. Beers aren't cheap but are comparable with other similar bars. Not suited to groups looking to sink countless pints of cheap generic lager. Well behaved children and dogs are welcome. Beer bought from the bottle shop can be consumed on site or taken home. They offer occasional beer tasting sessions and serve pizza on Thursdays. Well worth a visit.

Never fails to disappoint!! If you like good beer you must come here! Fantastic selection in the bottle room and normally 8 beer on tap that regularly change. They always have something crazy and different, something you love and something you'll want to take home!

Absolutely brilliant I only buy my beers for home from here and frequent the tap room for every event I can manage. As far as staff go Carl and Kelly are wonderful people and run a fantastic business, it's quite clear that they are passionate about their craft and having the support of a team as they do is only a credit to them, shouts to Fi and Jack. It's a shame that some people don't feel the same and clearly do not understand what it is they are drinking, ok it may be a bit more expensive and 'cloudy' (because it's not full of rubbish) but comparing it to the rubbish some pubs serve from "breweries you've heard of" you're insulting everyone in the industry who put their time effort and heart into what they make. If you want to drink Boddingtons for £1.50 a pint this isn't the place for you, but if you want to try something you've not tried before and have a real experience of what the craft beer culture is then 100% go to beer heroes. Cheers!

Great place, welcoming and handy. Just some points that could be improved maybe. A juke box, better suited music instead of spice girls. Music a little tiny bit louder. Always out of gin and lemonade etc. Would be good to have more frequent deliveries to avoid this xxx
