One of the best spot to be totally satisfied. This PUB has become one of families best go to PUB/Restaurant. Love the beer, steak - absolutely amazing well seasoned and amazing meat, also we love their burgers there which we always order - This comes with chips and a dip for the chips. The meat patties are just so delicious to eat and its super filling. My favorite is fosters beer there. People are very friendly and kind. They have rest rooms for everyone, wheelchair accessibility all around the area, it also has amazing parking spots in-front of it. Seatings are indoors and outdoors. Indoors are most of the time reserved but outdoors too. Have a check on the images .... Above anything else ... they are super DOG friendly ...

I was parked up by the canal & found this little gem while walking my dog! We both received a very warm welcome as they are a very dog friendly pub! 👍😁🐶 I couldn't decide what too drink so the barmaid gave me a couple of tasters of their real ale which helped me decide on a pint of Land of Hopportunity! It was very nice & at £3.20 very good value! The chicken & mushroom pie, chunky chips, mushy peas & gravy hit the spot to! Will definitely pay them a visit if I'm in the area again.👍😁

Attended this establishment on Saturday with my family and our pet dog. It is certainly dog friendly, and I noticed a lot of very well behaved dogs under each table. Straight away it puts you at ease knowing that your fur baby is welcome! Every staff member we had contact with had happy personality’s, they were friendly and helpful and bent over backwards for you! Next time we visit our daughter we will certainly return. Thank you for being welcomed with our dog, it was a comfortable experience and the food was great too!

This pub/restaurant is a little on the expensive side but well worth a visit. Dogs take priority in this establishment and are VERY welcome. The food did take a while to arrive but was amazing. Great outdoor eating area, well lit in the evenings and surrounded by trees, even spotted a few squirrels. A great place to stop after a walk along the nearby canal. We would definitely call in again when next in the area, friendly atmosphere, a bit busy at lunch time so book a table in advance

I love this place. Have been a few times now whilst visiting family in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good. Most of all it is very dog friendly 😃. Water, biscuits, food and ice cream for your 4 legged family member are all available. Plenty of space for sitting inside or out. And right next to a lovely area for walking.

Went here as aid it was dog friendly and what a lovely place, great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff, but best of all a water station with bowls and treats for your dogs. Wish all pubs where like this. Highly recommended if your in the area and want a bit to eat.

We went on a week day just to check the place out for our little dog, this being a dog friendly pub. Lovely place, nice and quiet with good food and friendly staff. Taking our dog next time so he can try the doggy dinner. Brought Max along for a spot of lunch - he loved it! all dogs well behaved and catered for 🐶

Great location set in the back drop of Sankey Valley Park, very dog friendly so added bonus for all you pet owners, good choices on the menu very diverse with something for everybody, the bar is well stocked with a great choice of beers and spirits. We ordered food for 5 people, starters came out very quickly sadly the same cannot be said for the mains, once the starters were cleared, we waited 35 minutes for our mains which consisted of three cold sandwiches one fish and chips and one Gammon dinner? It was delicious when it finally arrived though. Good value for money, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars not 5 was due to the lengthy wait on mains that's all.

This maybe the dog friendliest pub ever! We got there about 1:30 pm and there were at least 15 dogs inside. If you are taking out your pooch this is the place. The service was good, friendly staff. I had the sticky chicken and chorizo which was very tasty. Large pots of tea. We met friends from Bulgaria who we had not seen in years so we had lots of catching up and talking. We were never rushed. Beautiful building and setting.

Lovely pub with a really nice feel to it. Dog friendly too. Food really good and reasonably priced. I had the gammon which didn't disappoint and the chips were lovely and chunky. A friend had the sirloin which was cooked to just how he asked for. A fussy child had a burger and pronounced it "well nice". Compliment indeed. I'd recommend and would definitely go again. Love the Maltings, it's super dog friendly and the staff really do go out of their way to make you and your dog feel really welcome. It's the perfect stop off when walking the Sankey Valley canal trail with a lovely outdoor space. Great selection of drinks and food typical pub grub. We shared the meat starter board which was really nice, especially the halloumi fries!

Such a great pub! Very dog friendly- I have a greyhound who stands awkwardly rather than sitting and there was plenty of space for him! The staff were super friendly and understanding. They have dog bowls and dog treats too! Nice vegan options - especially the dessert! Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant, very friendly staff. Great food and best of all the place is dog friendly so we took our furry little friend with us Milo. The human menu includes dogs dinner for a couple of quid so whilst we eat our food Milo the furry bichon had his own dinner. Milo is a human really as he rejected the dog biscuits kindly given by the staff. It's human food or nothing for our little nutter. I've attached a couple pictures and we have that many great pictures we could easily setup a website for Milo to showcase his best images. Very tempting to do it aswell 😜

Lovely homecooked food .Easy to order by scanning the table or staff accommodate if any issues with phones. Fish and chips were delicious and the staff were lovely with my little boy who has special needs. Can't recommend them enough. Will definitely be returning

Well this was my first outing to a pub since lockdown, Harry 🐾 and I had a marvellous time with out additional family. Harry had the doggy Sunday lunch and when I explained that Harry can't have ham they swapped the meal for him. The staff were so thoughtful and kind, truly an exceptional first outing. By far my favourite pub. The staff, friendly and attentive and welcoming. Great covid measures and they have worked really hard to create comfortable, warm and dry outdoor seating areas in our changeable English weather. I can't wait for the restrictions to lift and we can return to the cosy atmosphere inside as well. Dogs aren't just tolerated they are welcomed with open arms

Very friendly place. Great place for people who want to pop in with their dogs. The food is delicious and not overpriced. One thing I would say though is that it's a bit noisy, as the background music was a bit loud which caused people to talk louder. Perhaps if the volume could be turned down it would make it easier to talk to one another. Other than that, a lovely pub with a good choice of food and snacks.

If youre a dog person then this is great. You are allowed your dogs out side and inside. They have complimentary dog treats and water with water bowls. The staff are great and very hygienic. Every time I noticed a staff member walking away from petting a dog they went to wash their hands straight away. The food was cooked perfectly sized meal. Definitely get your moneys worth. Both me/ my family and my dog where pleased. The staff where so polite and helpful

This pub is a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink. It is a 'dog friendly' pub, so if you're a dog lover and / or have your own canine pal, you will definitely love visiting. Dogs are barking (not a lot), playing and interacting, so a great place to be. Service is quick and friendly. It has outdoor seating, with a new looking booth set up. Plus close to the brook and greenery to enjoy a walk before or after.

Been here a couple of time post lockdown. They do everything possible to keep customers and staff safe. Lots of seating outside and a one way system inside. Staff wearing masks and visors and plenty of hand sanitizer and track and trace well run. Menu is reduced currently but we are in the midst of a pandemic but take care as there weren't any salads or sandwiches when we went so quite heavy options for lunch. Love the way this place caters for dogs and there are plenty of bowls available for you to get yr pet a drink

Having been here before and enjoyed the food which was wonderful we thought we would return again, however this time it was a very different experience and a short one, as soon as we walked in the strong smell of fish which unfortunetely did not smell right, hit us, I dont have the strongest stomach so was making me feel rather queasy, the staff are always lovely there and as I say the food is lovely, we were taken to our table but then the smell of fish mixed in with a bit of dog smell put me off more, I totally understand this is a dog friendly pub which is truly lovely but not when it takes over the smell, I am truly sorry to write this review but thought it should be something that should be addressed. The pub itself is beautiful and is a hidden treasure, all the lights outside make it so welcoming.

This was our first visit to the Maltings - my son booked ahead for 7 of us - 3 adults and 4 kids - he chose it because we were staying at the Gullivers Hotel but fancied something a bit different from the basic menu at the hotel and the pics on the website looked inviting. We were not disappointed! It is set in the middle of a housing estate but you would never guess - its set back from the road amongst the trees and really feels like a country pub. The food was amazing! Ordered 2 grazing platter for the 4 kids to share, which they loved - I had the 6oz fillet steak for a tenner and it was exactly as I ordered medium rare and it was phenomenal - hubby had the kangaroo fillet which he had rare and loved it and my son had a mega burger - we all enjoyed it - staff were lovely and the place had a really good vibe - friendly and relaxed- we will be returning!

Always have such a great experience here. Most recently, Jennifer was the staff member looking after us. If I could give her 10 * I would. Her service and manner is exceptional. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, the food is always done to perfection. We bring our german shepherds here regularly, they even bring out beds for the dogs to sleep on while we're here and have a water and treat station for you to help yourself. Hands down the best pub in Warrington for us! We recommend to anyone and everyone!

Such a cosy little pub! Dogs are welcome too, they have a little doggy station with water, treats and poop bags. The pub quiz is a great laugh and doesn’t go on all night. The range of gins is brilliant! Plus they do offers on the gins. Food is really nice. Never had any problems.

I was really impressed today it was my first visit and won't be my last. The staff were really friendly they made me feel really welcome like I had been going there for years. The pub was very clean and has been done up very well, moden but retained all of it character that an old pub should have. Had a meal here tonight and just have to say that their customer service was fab! They got my order wrong which usually means that the said person sits without their food, feeling left out while the rest of the party enjoy their meals...not here! They gave me a free portion of delicious, chunky chips to munch on, whilst they prepared my meal again, so I didn't feel left out and they even knocked off the full price of my meal from the bill! A hidden Gem!! I've just had a most enjoyable afternoon at the Maltings. Really well presented and very tasty food. The juiciest chips ever. Extremely kind and friendly staff. And the icing on the cake... You can take your dog with you. There is even a water hole and biscuit bar for them. Would recommended... absolutely!

Nice setting and design, had a barbecue on when we visited on a Sunday in addition to the main menu. Food was fresh and homemade and although a couple of toppings were initially left off the burgers the waitress was genuinely apologetic and it was rectified within a couple of minutes, can’t ask more than that. The Maltings is a dog friendly pub which is the main reason we visit. They provide treats and water for any canine visitors. Situated on the edge of Sankey Valley Park, with access to lovely paved walks. The pub it's self has a rustic and relaxed feel, with a nice menu selection. The outside area has a fenced in covered section and a patio, no true 'garden'. The last time we went I had the maltings stack burger and nearly ended up in a food coma! Amazing! I've never been here for a night out but its a lovely pub to visit with the family for a meal, or pop in on your walk with your four legged friend.

I visited here with my sister and daughter and wasn't impressed at first glance the place is lovely and tastefully renovated. However i had a 30 minuet wait on food when there was only a handful of people in the restraunt, the food was poor quality and had to send one of the meals back. There saving grace was that the staff are friendly and attentive, they refunded the meal and offered us free drinks. Good pub but could work on food.

I have to say I felt quite let down as my expectations were set high, being in the lovely area it is along with the lovely exterior they've built recently. Whereas the meals were lovely and unique in their style I'm not sure it warranted the jump in price. Staff are often busy making drinks to take your order, quite happily leaving you waiting at the bar, uncertain who's next in line (Because there ain't one). The group I was with all complained about how small their deserts were too, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't mind coming back here soon...

Looks lovely since the refurb recently - wood everywhere, muted paint tones, beautiful tiles in the bathrooms etc but tables not cleaned, glasses piling up at the bar and hard to get served. To be fair it was a busy Sunday but even so, put more staff on! There's not much point making it look like a country pub that's friendly and welcoming after a walk if you can't see to the basics. Didn't eat but food looks good. Nice beers available but on 2 occasions now they didn't have the glasses to match so a fosters glass had to do. A good pub but just let down a little bit by these small points. Definitely recommend though after a walk in sankey valley and you'd need to book for food on a Sunday as it was heaving!
