Visited on a quiet Monday evening, great choice of beers but food menu rather limited, especially for vegetarians. Food was pricey and small portions. Fish pie seemd rather small. Bar snacks were tasty though. Nice clean pub though with ample seating and no musac, giving a pleasant atmosphere. Nice gardens for outdoor seating. Good condition of pub interior.

Always been a great pub but never eaten in there..I had their new vegan Kentucky burger which was great...their new vegan menu is small but has a good choice of tasty food let alone their normal menu which is substantial and versatile..yes a great pub with a great atmosphere so we will be back...great friendly staff as we was served by the friendly Alice.

Lovely comfy pub but we chose the wrong evening to go for a quiet chat as there was a very rowdy party which is only separated from the pub by a curtain. Great pub though.

Nice pub and a friendly atmosphere. It's a Fuller's pub and has the normal Fuller's beers. The food is good and has a good selection for kids (kids menu) and vegetarians. They are also very good about food allergies. Not the cheapest food, but good quality ingredients.

Our table was booked for 7.30 and there was already quite a lot on the menu that was finished, they said they'd been busy. It wasn't busy when we got there, only a few tables busy, but we waited over an hour for our food to come, which then needed adjusting because they'd got it wrong, eg mash instead of chips. They were also very slow and needed to be chased up to get our drinks, again the bar didn't look busy. Food was ok when it did arrive.

I was treated to a Sunday Roast. My friend and I both chose the roast chicken with stuffing. The chicken was well cooked & succulent & came with roast potatoes and parsnips which were cooked to perfection, plus a variety of other vegetables, cauliflower cheese, carrots, greens & peas. Afterwards I chose the Bakewell tart with almonds & raspberries which came with vanilla custard. My friend had coconut and salted caramel ice cream. The service was very good. Highly recommend.

The food wasn't good. The chips were like rubber and the peas had been microwaved to within an inch of their life. Won't eat there again but the pub side of things was very nice.

We had a great Sunday lunch. I had a smoked haddock special which was really special with great flavours. There was a magician going table to table who was great fun. The service wasn't super fast, but this is not a fast food joint!

On the whole quite a nice pub, reasonable sized dining area and the food was pretty good. The beer selection wasn't extensive but there were a couple of good ones. It wasn't that good for a quiet conversation, the place was noisy, but we did go on a Saturday evening. Having parking outside was a bonus for our visit.

Came here for a wake. Buffet food was a bit of a mix of styles, some rather odd choices but adequate quantities and tasted good. Didn't try the bar menu. Decor nice - bright but cosy. Small garden with play area (wooden fort). Good range of drinks at reasonable prices.

It's a nice sized pub, with beer garden. The food is ok and pricey for just being ok. The staff are not usually in the mood for a quick chat. Which is fine if it was heaving but it isn't, when we are there which is day time. I go out of convenience if there were another pub near by, that had a better atmosphere I would go there.

Went there for Sunday lunch today. Group of 26, pre-booked and pre-ordered. It seemed to be a bit too much for them to be honest. There wasn't enough room, so we had to move a table ourselves. No one came to take a drinks order, so just went to the bar after 20mins. Paid £21 for steak, which tasted ok, but a bit dry. Other people said the same. Also some things we asked for a couple of times (table water, condiments) just never arrived. Hopefully this is a one-off and it's better at other times. Plus side: decent car park and outside seating area with small children's playground. Friendly and polite staff.

My friends and I had a lovely time last night. We had a great meal in the restaurant with very helpful staff regarding gluten free foods and a vegan diet. Very friendly and patient! Looking forward to coming back! 😁

Lovely food but really limited menu. The sous chef had messed up the ordering and hardly had any of the menu available. We booked at lunchtime for the evening and they knew they had our group of 7 and another big party of 20 coming in that night. No excuse to run out of food like that! Having said that the food we did have once we could find something we wanted that was available was very good. A real shame as it was a celebration meal. Would have gone somewhere else but my mum is dusabled and too difficult to get her to another restaurant. Hope its better if we return?!

Warning: they cook in rapeseed oil. I'm allergic to it this however wasn't a problem and the chef did them proud by cooking my food separately to get round this. I had the Sunday roast which was really nice but given 3 stars as the veg that comes out with it was very odd. Cauliflower cheese and mashed swede? Where are the greens?? Great food but I prob won't have the roast again cause that's odd. Nice to have kids area in the garden too.

Really nice local for us- drinks and food are average, nothing fancy- they cater for vegans and vegetarians. Only gripe is one guy who works in there who is repeatedly rude. When we’ve spoken to friends about the pub and mentioned this particular guy the response is always “the guy who looks like XYZ: yeah he is rude”......so it’s obviously not just a personal vendetta against us!! Otherwise it’s a nice place x

We went for food: we arrived at 9.05pm and the kitchen was closed. (9pm) There was a pub quiz and it was packed! Nice place, not used it before. However, my query is: is the pub there to serve its customers or its staff? It seems to me that if you put on an event you would keep the kitchen open too. And 9pm also seems early to close.

Interesting menu choice along with a good choice of draught beer, and some interesting contental ones on the keg taps! The quality of the food and drinks on offer by a Fullers pub was duly met! Good pub and decent food. This place has a big car park, nice bar area, outside seating and a good sized restaurant area. The Fuller's beers are nice and the food is very consistent. This time we had pan fried chicken and the cod n chips. The pan fried chicken was excellent and really well cooked. I had the cod and the fish was nice and tasty but the batter was a bit firm, tasteless and greasy. The chips were lovely and overall it was a good meal.

The great thing about this place is its size, there is plenty of space to drink inside and it's also have loads of space outside, including a heated covered area. Even though it's a big place with a large bar, the staff are switched on and you aren't left waiting for service.

Visited this pub for a Sat lunch, primarily because it has a nice kids play area (surrounded by a fence, keeping the kids safely locked in). The lovely dining room is housed inside a typical, gorgeous, large English pub. Apart from the restaurant, the pub housed a few other great spots to sit and have a beer, including and outside beer garden. After trying a pub staple (pie), vegetarian risotto, and kids chicken burger, the food didn't disappoint either.
