Reviews of Crown
C. L. N.We went to the Crown recently for a belated birthday meal for my mum. We have previously attended this restaurant and have never had any issues. Food was spot on, although the Pasta Alfredo portion was slightly small (my opinion), all the food was hot and the wait times between courses was very fair. The service was excellent and our waitress was very friendly. We had the dirty fries to start (we shared one between the three of us and it was more than enough for a starter), a steak, pizza and Pasta Alfredo for our mains and we had the lemon muffin cheesecake and chocolate fudge sponge for dessert. We left very happy and full! Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.
O.We have avoided the Crown for a few years. We went last just before the pandemic and it was awful. Poor service, poor food etc. On Saturday we needed somewhere to eat after an awful morning and we were very happy! Katie and the team were so kind and helpful. The food was delicious and fairly priced. The turn around is amazing - I hope John, Katie and those working there are told that we had a lovely meal with great atmosphere.

A. “.Rosie greeted us with a smile as soon as we arrived showed us to our table. I ordered coffee straightaway but then I went to the washroom Rosie waited until I returned in order to ensure the coffee was still hot. We ordered our meal which was excellent well cooked and freshly made which in this age of getting microwave meals is such a bonus. We haven’t been here before but we certainly will next time we are in the area.
A. P.We chose to eat out at short notice, so we thought that we would eat local. We went to the Crown, we didn't book a table. we were greeted by Caitlin who was very polite and friendly and within seconds seated at a table. We ordered our drinks, starter and main meal. To be fair the service was reasonably quick considering the amount of people eating. As we went to pay we were asked if everything was OK. I replied that the steaks we had were the best we had had. Craig was training a new chef and it was the new chef that had done them. Absolutely brilliant work Craig for teaching the new guy. Highly recommend the Crown to everyone
e. j.From start to finish the service was really good. Our server Courtney was exceptional, she was very attentive and was always around if we required her help. The food and drink service was very fast and we had a lovely evening. Very good value for money, definitely recommend. Thanks again to Courtney for being a friendly character and making our experience more enjoyable.

P.It's good if there's 2 of you, apparently the two for one does not include children's meals, so when I took my daughter, who thoroughly enjoyed her food, I had to pay £17 for one meal (with a free desert instead as I was on my own) and then the child's meal too. Staff are brilliant, and food was delicious, it's a lovely pub, but don't get caught out with the two for one like I did, take a second adult!

s. p.We go there 2 or 3 times a week. Always a very warm welcome. The team work hard and go out of their way to help and make sure your visit is a happy one. Had many special occasion gatherings there too. Here's to many more
