This is a nice pub/restaurant that has some banging offers for food and drinks, you definitely can't find such good deals anywhere at the moment. You can enjoy a dine in experience (including any alcoholic/nonalcoholic drinks) for less than £20 for two people. The menu is quite diverse with plenty of food options from different cuisines that offers you good fresh food. The location has plenty of tables for inside dining as well a few tables outside that offer you the high steet view. We liked it! Recommend, enjoy! 👍🏻❤

Quite a lengthy wait for service then another for the breakfast to arrive. The female with blonde hair highlights was doing her best being the only one behind the bar (Beth)? After a while breakfast arrived. Not the best eggs and the bits of eggshell wasn't appreciated. Good value for money coffee as per usual

A lovely stone built former bank, with beautiful sky lights and picked out in gold at the top of the pillers. It is a Lloyd's and the decor reflects this. It's mainly one big room, with some booths at the back. The toilets were up two flights of stairs, ladies OK. Interesting local historical pictures on the walls to look at as you're going up the stairs. It was tax free day, so drinks very reasonably priced!

Does what it says in the tin: cheap food and drinks. The staff forgot our drinks so had to go to the bar to get them. Burger was somehow rare in the middle, medium around that and well done on the outside. Alfredo pasta tasted better than it looked, but then again you get what you pay for. Clean and tidy though which was nice, and got bidden a farewell on our exit which was nice to see

The usual selection of drinks including real ales, and pub food. A small outside smoking area, partially covered and in nice weather some tables outside on the pavement. Lots of TVs including a large screen for big football and rugby events. The downside is that the toilets are on the 2nd floor.

I've been to a lot of Weatherspoons and they're usually pretty good, but this one's a bit special. It is a big old bank building but feels like an old style pub. I've been to a lot of Weatherspoons and they're usually pretty good, but this one's a bit special. It is a big old bank building but feels like an old style pub. Frequently visit here during the day and never disappointed. Good food that always arrives quickly even at busy times. Very fair (if not inexpensive) prices for plenty of food. Drinks are cheaper here than any other place I have visited locally. However, some of the 'regulars' can be rowdy and rude although generally stay out of most people's way. Staff are very professional and do try to smile even though they are often coping with lots of orders. The place is a bit dark and could be brightened up, but not dirty or uncomfortable. Also, not a bad place to start a night out. Cheap drinks and a good atmosphere!

Wetherspoon never disappoints. Food was good. Tried the curry deals. It was a pleasant surprise to get good Indian chicken curry with naan, rice and papad in a place like this. Anyone with Indian taste buds will not find their hottest curry hot at all. But the curry tasted good, especially considering this is not an Indian restaurant. Also, tried Alfredo pasta. The white sauce is to die for. Too good. Ambience was okay. Seating arrangement was a little cramped. Hence, one less star. This might be a temporary arrangement due to covid rules. However, I expected more comfortable seating space. It was a little uncomfortable. But overall, it was a good experience. It maintained all covid guidelines, along with online tracking system.

Only been here for breakfast one morning so cannot comment on lunch times or tea times. A good variety on the breakfast menu, including vegetarian and gluten free options. If you order a hot drink with your meal its an unlimited refill of coffee, tea or hot chocolate etc from a machine. You go to order at the bar, and it was a pretty quick service, It wasn't busy but wasn't empty, so a nice selection of places to sit. I would go again for breakfast, but next time we are going to try either lunch or tea time then I can update the review.

I love this place. Aye, a bit rough and ready but it is a real pub. Real ales are excellent and are well kept. Bar staff are brilliant, and food is usual good quality. Even during the current restrictions still a great place to come for a beer and a bite to eat!

Decent food and atmosphere but tends to be the more obnoxiously loud of the two Spoons in town. Not a dig at the bar of course but certainly the clientele. Lovely management. Allows kids. If you don't like the idea of Sharon and her offspring screeching when you're trying to enjoy a nice pint, maybe not for you. Also, always has at least one person cackling by the door way too loud. What's with that?

A very good wetherspoons! Upon arrival, I was sceptical about what experience I would have, the restaurant seemed to be very busy, however we managed to get a seat. When ordering, the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and efficient! The food didn't take too long and was OK. The chicken seemed a bit flavourless, if honest. The building isn't too special either, but houses a impressive roof window. Overall I would say this is a high scoring wetherspoons and worth visiting! Cheers! Good service. Food consistently good. A historical spacious building which can magnify noise during busy periods. Very much a drinking crowd and a little noisy at times. Quiet periods during the day which I find preferable. Toilets two flights upstairs...as is the wetherspoons way.

It's a Wetherspoon's so you know what you're getting. Could do with a good clean in parts but generally pleasant enough, though is completely devoid of any atmosphere, just a big wide open space with tables plonked in it. Still, at least it's relatively cheap, with a decent selection of drinks and cheap food, all available to order via their app direct to your table, which is a stroke of genius.

The ale is good, but the toilets are two floors up. Good training for a mountaineer - I am not a mountaineer by a long chalk, but it gives you some idea of the trek. Even saying that, I still go there for a good beer. Says it all really

By my reckoning this pub boasts the highest ceiling in Wrexham county's capital! It's a huge room with a bar at one end, vaguely reminiscent of an airport lounge or some other non height restricted, semi-utilitarian public waiting area. But it's always busy and the prices are as cheap as can be reasonably wished for. If I was to offer one tip to you it would be to visit the toilet before you get here, there's nothing wrong with them but it's quite a trek up several flights of stairs.

Wetherspoon in a town centre, as expected has cheap ale, cheap food and a lot of locals. Good stopping point for a few beers. Shows sports on a big screen and comes alive at night. On note this is one of those with a toilet that takes planning to get to so head off before you really need a wee 😉
