Good old tradition pub. Tasty Sunday lunches very reasonably cost £11.

Lovely traditionally British pub. Offers varied events, as Pub Quizzes and Open Mics. Find yourself invited to play a pool game while one of the talented local artists performs on stage. Really friendly staff and an atmosphere that invites you to relax with a beer in hand.

Great pub in the village, large parking facilities. Flat so disabled can easily get in. First time going in, lit fire and nobody was in, staff made us feel welcomed. Booked a table for our evening meal. On return later, pub was buzzing, again staff lovely. The food was excellent, chef takes time and care, so if you are in a hurry it's not for you. Great selection of different dishes, which change regularly. We had the pie with all the trimmings, meat melted in the mouth. Only one choice of pudding, but it was amazing vanilla cheesecake with white chocolate and fresh strawberrys. If you are in the area its worth a visit.

Missed the bus had 40mins to spare so went to the Hare and Hounds by myself and had the first lager and lime in years, it was peacefull and I was left alone to catch up with my mob. Not been drinking for years, and I actually enjoyed it, I will visit again

Visited Friday and we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The ale was of a good standard, and we later returned to eat the food was top quality and not run of the mill. The chef /manager was helpful and proud of the food he served, he made it great night would look forward to going again. 👍

What a wonderful surprise my wife, Jean and I had when we visited the Hare and Hounds last Saturday early evening. There was a pleasant atmosphere and there was quite a number of customers present. We both had meals, Jean had a Thai chicken curry dish, which she drooled over (always been a sloppy eater). I had a beef and Guinness pie it was succulent. We will certainly be visiting again in the near future. The chef was only young but very engaging and the young girl behind the bar was excellent. Well done to both, it was a wonderful experience and great to find such a great place for an evening out on our doorstep.

I heard this place was under new management and had a brand new food menu out so my wife and I thought we'd give it a go. It's a brilliant little local pub with a quirky food menu. We went for the wood pigeon on toast and the rabbit and cider stew, my wife and I have to share everything when we go out and I've got to say both dishes were very very good! The service was quick despite it being quite busy. The food was top notch and went down well with a lovely pint of Blue Moon. The atmosphere was relaxed and we finished up with a few games of pool. We will be back, maybe with the dogs next time as its also dog friendly which is a bonus. 👌🏻

Went for Sunday lunch and wasn't disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was well cooked, hot and well presented. I went for the trio of meat which was generously portioned.

A well run pub by a eager landlord wanting to do good, the establishment is old charm with a mixture of tables and seating , because of its age the original windows do not throw much natural light inside during the winter months but its not such an issue. The beer is good and kept well the food is excellent and nourishing and offers a varied main menu and lunch menu at reasonable prices. Three rooms are open plan (in line) with the bar central to them one of these set out restaurant style, a decent size pool room with darts board , a narrow sized room acts as a family room . The toilets (men's) were clean , bright and spotless there is a small outside seating area and a car park along with on road parking. Would recommend this establishment.

The food is absolutely fantastic. I visited for lunch a few weeks ago and it my meal was very tasty and the place has really decent size portions. The new Manager Paul is very friendly and a good laugh. I will be back again to try the Sunday lunch menu and also the evening menu Thank you also to the lady on the bar who was very friendly

me and my fiancee Laura have just moved to the village literally a 2 minute walk from this pub , we can honestly say, what fantastic ,polite staff, very welcoming and the food was beautifully cooked and presented! we will deffinatly be coming on a regular basis , especially for pie night ! 👍😁

Don't want to say it's the most tastes Sunday roast we have had in a long time go about every two weeks plenty of meat and lots of veg very well presented it's that good one week we will not be able to get in and nearly forgot Yorkshire pudding to die for

This was our first time here and the food was excellent, my friend and I had the 8oz steak which was one of the best steaks we have ever had, my wife had fish & chips which she says was one of the best she had tasted and my friends wife had chilli and nachos which she says was very impressive. Give it a try!

Heard good feedback about this place for the food unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations steak was over cooked if the waitress had come back after to see if everything was OK. she served the food I would have asked for another one but she didn't return until I finished the meal not the best thing to do is leave it till I had finished will give it another try when I'm up this way again it might have been a one off we will wait and see.
