G. T.Stayed for two nights in a motorhome, felt very safe and was a nice quiet nights sleep. Car park level with plenty of room. Locals like a good chat. All staff really nice and we're great with the dog. Treats on the bar for the dog and behind the bar for us! Will definitely return for more good times.
S. T.Stopped over night in our motorhome. Good sized flat carpark. Ray and Danielle were excellent hosts, friendly and welcoming. Open fire and friendly locals. Landlord bitter was great, highly recommend.

Friendly bar staff and good lager kept it's frothy head all the way down the glass.
I had the Coors and they had the Madri Spanish lager said it was very good.
Be trying that one next time.
L. T.Stayed for 2 nights in camper van and had a few drinks from the pub as not doing food just yet! We felt so welcome, locals were polite and friendly. Will deffo be back when we next visit York

A. j.Landlord Aaron, made us feel exceptionally welcome at the HogsHead last night. Great prices compared to those within the city walls, and those warm pork scratchings were something else - delish! ! Thank you for your lovely warm Northern hospitality!
E. M.Over nite stay in motorhome free if you have a drink quiet location hospitality excellent barman Anthony very welcoming as were all the staff lovely inside owner invited us over to there table for a bit of banter thank you will call again if we are passing from BALLYMENA hey xx
i. L.I think I'm to old for this place. I felt like a beer and it was possibly the last evening to sit outside this year. I watched the youngsters playing the sausage game. I wouldn't have believed it if you had told me. Seeing these girls squatting down made me feel very old and uncomfortable. Good beer though and pleasant hardworking staff.
R. W.Robbie and Heather, Brilliant stopover for motorhome owners. Landlord and staff very welcoming and informative. No food but good selection of beers etc. Food coming soon and new team doing a great job. We'll definitely be back if in the area.
