Reviews of The Lowther
J. H.Decent sized pub near the river, with outside seating, friendly staff and waitress service. Indoors it is larger than you think and has a modern looking interior. Prices are around average for the area. A selection of food is available, with a carvery area around the corner of the bar, and the usual variety of drinks and cocktails are also on offer.

G.Nothing wrong at all with this pub, a bit outdated but hey not everyone likes all chrome and modern surroundings we had pizza and fries and chicken burger and fries, and the fries were really lovely crisp but fluffy inside ,everything was good, staff friendly and good location just by the river, plenty of tables outside, with table service, I f it is a nice sunny day great place to eat and look over the river, but we were quite happy inside.
R.Went for drinks in the evening on a weekday - music was so loud I couldn't hear myself think, let alone talk to my friends. If you can find somewhere the speakers are broken then it's great, good atmosphere and well priced drinks, but otherwise I physically can't stand to stay with how loud the music gets.
T. S.Sat outside by the river. Had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was a nice warm day. Service was prompt and had a few guests visit us in the form of geese. Great place to chill and have a beer.
J. H.Fantastic little opera house/theatre. Lovely staff and went to see a great show. Seats are comfortable too.

T. Y.Went on Saturday night. Nice pub by the river next to where the cruise boats set off from. Good selection of Beers and Ales on tap.
