In May I decided to sell my property, a semi detached house, so I got opinions from three estate agents. All three were professional in the way they tried to get my business but I felt Roberts showed great awareness of the particular features of my property so I chose Roberts. One famous agent suggested a very high selling price presumably to get my business or perhaps through lack of real knowledge. In the past I have found agents do this and then you feel bad when they turn round and say, oh, the market has blipped you will have to lower the price a bit, Roberts were able to provide evidence of an achievable price range. I was always kept updated and informed about all viewings and given help on every aspect of the sale. For example, they even used to pick up rubbish in my drive if the wind blew it in while I was away. Their attention to detail was the best I have ever encountered over 45 years. Local residents who have known Roberts Estate Agents for a long time had recommended them for renting out my property but I decided to sell and found Paul Penny was especially helpful. He really appears to enjoy the job of looking after his customers' interests.

I have recently purchased a property through Roberts. Peter was a great help throughout despite selling the property on behalf of a less than cooperative vendor. Great communication both via the phone and email and if he wasn't about then Paul or another member of the team were always at hand. Roberts were excellent, communication was always instant, excellent advice and feedback from viewers. The house was sold for near the asking price. I have a big dislike of estate agencies and many bad experiences... Roberts however seem to be a gem amongst the dirt - they don't charge rediculus agency fees and signing up for the tennancy was quick, painless and professional. The building is very well managed, kept clean and they even have their own maintenance department. I am long term disabled and am on housing benefit which usually when mentioned gets you ushered out of the door - not with Roberts, they were even able to give me advice (eg. it's better to rent self contained as room rate is quite low). I'd reccomend Roberts to both high earning professional workers and those who are disabled or out of work. While not every landlord will take housing benefits (due to insurence) some will and Roberts themselves seem to have a good reputation with Bournemouth council :)

All I can say is I'm a landlord for a property in Winton,& I use Roberts to help find me Bournemouth Uni students to let my property to. I personally find them very helpful & professional, yes there are charges but there is no such thing as a free lunch. I do pride myself on being fair an honest in my dealings with my tenants, to which I find pays dividends & I get good recommendations from them. I hope this redresses the poor reviews a little bit. As always there are two sides to a story.
