I and my husband have been living in this property let by Coapt for more than 2 years now. The property manager Zoe have been so helpful and considerate at all times in our tenure. The team has been very responsive to the mails and calls at all time and have taken appropriate and quick action always. With heavy heart have to leave this wonderful property due to moving to some other place.

Coapt was quite helpful from when I first contacted them in the summer of 2020, being the only listing from various to get back to me. Although my initial interest was not available, they still offered me an alternative. The viewing and rent process was quite smooth except for dealing with the guarantor company (a process Coapt was still supportive with and helped me to resolve by speaking with the landlord). Two people I would like to commend are Emilia Smolka, who helped me a lot with my tenancy application, and Emily Kinton from thé finance team, who quickly processed my deposit post-check-out.

I saw a few houses with this agency and never had a problem. They always been kind and professional to me, but I am still honestly disappointed about what happened last time. I called to book a viewing for a flat, and the agent, who eventually would show me the property in a few days, has told me he was sending me a text for confirmation and with the address. Nothing. I called a few days later, saying I didn't receive any message, they told me they would have sent another one straight away. Guess what? Nothing, again. I'm not British, so I struggle sometimes to understand what people say me on the phone. For this reason I needed a message with the address. Plus, during this same call, the woman I talked to ensured me the agent would have called me that same evening to confirm the appointment, in case we changed our mind. Do you think I received any call or message? No. But no problem, I perfectly understand sometimes people are busy. So I called again the day of the viewing, asking at least the address. Maybe I'm wrong, but the woman I talked to seemed annoyed by fact I called 3 times. She gave me the address and I went to see the flat. We really liked the house and we asked the agent how to apply. He said us to wait for an email with the application form. It was Saturday, I didn't expect any email before Monday, but the point I never received any email. I emailed them before Monday, just to remind them of it but nothing happened. The end of the story? We couldn't apply and we lost the change to try to get this house. Again, it's the third property we saw with them, no problem before. No idea what happened this time, but they made me feel like there was some kind of problem with me and they didn't want to let me see the house. I still feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure I will never had an explanation, but I had to tell my experience at least. 3 stars and not 1 only because the first 2 times they have been really nice.

Luckily not right now, but in the past 2 years I have had very difficult times dealing with landlords and renting through Coapt. However, this year has been completely different thanks to the help of the our property manager Alicia; she has done many things for us as a household, such as negotiating with our landlord for a new oven, and recently fixing our boiler. What stood out is the constant communications on what was happening between the landlord, plumber and us, and the rapid resolution of the issue. In comparison, in the past we waited 2 months for our washing machine to be fixed, the boiler took only 4 days. This truly shows that excellent letting agents can make or break a student living experience. This particular agent has gone above and beyond for our household and for this reason we have to recommend letting with Coapt to any students in Brighton.

I had many problems with the students living in a house I was renting not paying rents and utilities etc. and he gave me very good advice. Then when they moved reluctantly out left it in quite a state and Syd took over organising all the work that had to be done at extremely short notice let the property through Co apt what a relief. I have no hesitation in giving him this recommendation. Not only did he do all this but he came to my house to get things signed etc.Always with a smile and a. Solution I am now 85years old and am enjoying letting my house again.
