Martin & Co have been excellent through the entire sale & purchase of our properties. Chris and Niall were always at hand to help with any queries. They made the whole process as stress free as it could be. They dealt with both the purchase and sale of our properties. We encountered many issues along the way and it was good to have them to help with these issues. We had contacted various estate agents to value our property, and went with Chris, whose fees I would say are mid-level from the quotes we got. Yet the value I got from the service was priceless. Chris dealt with all the marketing, taking pictures, a virtual tour etc. and made the process feel easy. Not having sold a property before, the hand holding process was exactly what we needed. Chris also managed to get us 10% above our listing price which was very useful! Sian, David and the team have done a great job of finding our new tenants. We had 25 days of vacancy between tenants, however due to their proactive chasing of potential tenants and with regular encouragement from me, the void was not longer. They have looked after our flat and our tenants since we purchased the flat over 2 years ago and I am very happy with the level of service. It has been difficult during the COVID lockdown and we did have to drop the rent slightly to encourage new tenants, but then after the rent drop, Martin and Co found a tenant quickly.

Ollie on the rental team was fantastic as he found me two tenants very swiftly and helped by advising me on how to best to furnish my flat. When it came to selling my property Mason (sales team) was able to sell the property within one week of it going on the market. VIEWING was nice and easy. Looked online and called in to see if my friend and I can arrange a viewing as soon with it being the start of summer holiday season. In only a couple of hours we got a reply and a call to arrange immediately. We had not had a car, so the agency picked us up from the rail station. Too kind. The guy Ollie knows his stuff well, showed us a few houses, gave very good explanations and provided with superb logistics of the city when we move in. We LOVED it and signed up as soon we got back to the office. POST MOVE IN. All of us found it real easy to use the online system, even though some information needs changing and updated, agency Holly called us or emailed us very promptly to correct them. We all sorted our move in dates no problem. MOVE IN DAY. Packed and house move can be stressful. Holly made it easy, she call me in advance to the meeting time to make sure I got in Derby okay. Then once I arrived, offered my a cup of tea to relax and sign the final papers. The paper was long but she was patient. Next i had to gather the right info to prove my deposit had went through, even though the system was not showing so, Holly called in the Martin&Co accountant to double check and all that. Finally the agency people, three of them pointed me the right direction to get my parking permit from the counsel. Keys collected, permit bought, house moved! Thank you guys! Now just waiting for some last bit of furniture to arrive from you guys and we're all super happy. Love the house, would sure come back to you again if I am relocated back in Derby in the future. Having spent an hour or so calling potential agents to let my property, with mixed results, I took a stroll along St Jame's Street and popped in to each one to inquire on prices. After a lot of "the person you need to speak to isn't here" I approached Martin & Co and was lucky enough to speak to the proprietor David McKnight. He immediately covered all my questions in a friendly but no nonsense approach giving me the confidence to instruct him to commence. Both the 'find a tenant fee' and 'management fee' were as competitive as you will find with the additional option of 'rent receipt' not offered by many. All staff were on the ball and I will be undoubtedly be using their services in the future.
