At Home in Edinburgh was suggested to us by friends who have enjoyed excellent service for years. Rick and Amy have been absolutely incredible in helping us through the process of becoming landlords. They have gone above and beyond all of our expectations in helping us to jump through the administrative hoops and get our property ready to let. They even helped us to find a contractor to renovate our kitchen and bathroom. We are presently living abroad and knowing that they are looking after our property gives us peace of mind. My flat has been managed by At Home in Edinburgh for the last three years. It is let out on a short term basis, usually for 1 to 3 months at a time and is fully furnished. Having been left in the lurch by my previous managing agent five years ago, I count myself really lucky that I found At Home In Edinburgh. I chose them partly because they were so well reviewed by tenants, and things seem to have gone very smoothly with tenants since they took over. Unlike some agents I have dealt with they strike a good balance between keeping the property in good condition, dealing with tenants issues and keeping my outgoings to reasonable levels. Highly recommended. At Home in Edinburgh is a local outfit that serves Edinburgh and the surrounding area. For me, their being a small family business is really important, since they know the people and the city, and are always present. I've used much larger firms before, but the service was shoddy and impersonal, and there was always a clear feeling of them wanting to sort the problem to get me out the way and get their cash. This might have resulted in fast turnover in clients for them, but I know it also results in fast turnover of properties too, since many local landlords want something more personal. It's so different with At Home in Edinburgh, whose interactions with me are much friendlier and always considered. Highly recommend At Home in Edinburgh. My husband and I contacted them about short-term apartments to rent from August to October. They were very helpful and responsive with phone and email queries, and their website showing available properties was useful and well updated.
