In my experience Newton Property, in particular our Property Manager John Hempstead, have provided a service which is; professional, friendly, efficient and extremely reassuring. John’s in depth knowledge of the industry, mirrored with his can do attitude attends to owners needs without and fuss, or delay. Newton Property obviously recruit the cream of the crop, to ensure your property management is in the best possible hands. John works tirelessly to get the owner the best possible outcome, to a very high standard; whilst being mindful of costs. He treats the management of my property as if it was his own, I think that says it all. Thanks John keep up the excellent work.

We have recently changed factors from Lowther to Newton. Lowther have made this a difficult time however Sharon at Newton has stepped in to help whenever she could. She has made the whole process much easier. I have never had to wait for a response from Sharon (and our new property manager Sam) and the services they provide to us have been excellent value and carried out professionally and to a high standard. Newton have also been crystal clear in all their correspondence and their quotes for any work we require (they've also came in £5000 less for guttering repairs). Despite the difficulties in changing factor I would suggest you look into it if you are unhappy with your current service and I would highly recommend Newton Property Services, contact Sharon Alexander for exceptional customer service.

Just a note to express my appreciation of the the way John Hempstead carries out his role as Newton's Property Manager at our development. It is always a pleasure to come across individuals who go that little bit further in providing a service. John's combination of working pro-actively and responding to any issues raised is much valued.

We engaged Newton Property after years of poor factoring and after 3 years working with them have found a big improvement in the quality of service. As factors they work well with our estate committee and this is particularly noticeable in terms of communication and reliability. Estate manager John Hempstead and his assistant Michael Mullen are extremely approachable and responsive and can be relied upon to follow requests and recommendations through. Good and consistent factoring is essential to private estates like ours, which is now over 20 years old, and forward planning is critical. To date their chosen main contractors have, for the most part, performed efficiently with good on site liaison as and when required. We look forward continuing and developing our relationship with Newton Property.

When Newton Property took over the management of our building we had quite a number of issues to deal with. Since then we’ve completed a structural repair, installation of a new communal fire alarm, a lift refurbishment, reinstated garage drainage and the replacement of emergency corridor lighting, all within budget. I’ve always found Scott, Louise and Sandra to be very helpful and only a phone call away if I’ve ever needed to get in touch. I have had cause to complain about the response times to emails I’ve sent in the past, but to be fair, this has been acknowledged and has improved significantly.

Undaunted, Melissa McGirr, our newly appointed Property Manager at Newton Factoring, has more than risen to these challenges and is working constructively towards satisfactory and innovative solutions, assisted by Michael. By adopting a careful, measured, professional approach, and by being prepared to develop and confront obstacles where necessary, to overcome the various differences and difficulties in order to meet these challenges, Melissa is developing a new and constructive way forward for all concerned. Led by Melissa, their customer service skills are excellent. Correspondence and telephone calls are pleasant and helpful followed by efficient and timely actions in line with the agreed way forward. Step by step, Melissa is forging new pathways, and certainly making an impact here, which is most welcome and very much appreciated.

I've been with Newton Property Management (Glasgow) from the very start. We bought a flat off-plan in The Atrium complex in Cresswell Street, Glasgow, way back in 1999 - 2000. By the time it was complete, NPM were appointed as the management company. It may well have been one of their very first properties. I actually met Stephen O'Neill personally to discuss the build and the management and how it would all work. Remarkably personal service at that time. Our relationship was purely client based for many years, and I can't say that there were any issues of any note. Easy to contact, easy to communicate with. In short - transparent. When I started my own company, Living Solutions, which included building maintenance, I started working with them on a professional basis, looking after jobs and issues that cropped up around the building - we still do this today. The majority of the building managers have been very competent and easy to work with. I must single out our current manager - Laura Miller - as being exceptional. So easy to talk to - so easy to get things done. We often discuss and sanction repairs etc. the very same day - as it should be. If all building managers were like this, life would be so much easier. I'd give them 5 stars - but there might be a better management company out there. I just havn't found them yet.

The high rating is for Laurent who has dealt timeously and efficiently with various billing issues and demonstrated excellent customer service during my interactions with him. Basically, if I have an issue, I can rely on him to resolve it. Pity I can’t say the same for his colleagues who are more elusive than Shergar when it comes to sorting things out.

I continue to use the services of Newton Property Management and have done since November 2010, for all aspects of residential property management (factoring) including my home as well as my residential properties. My experience is one of that of a partnership, whereby the Newton Team have my best interests as their client first and foremost whilst successfully delivering the best in class service delivery for my properties. The communication between both parties is the key to the success of the partnership including the various discussions in relation to the management of the building fabric PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and building services, obtaining best value from Newton's preferred supply chain and contractors. Our Estate is on its fourth Factor, this is not because we are hard to please but because the service level of the previous Factors was so low. During the selection process of the replacement Factor we carried out in-depth due diligence to the extent of visiting Estates Factored by the chosen Companies and interviewing Owners. Newton have been a complete breath of fresh air, going about the business of running the Estate and effecting repairs in a very professional manner. John Hempstead our Property Manager has an eye for detail and a very engaging style, liaising with the Committee on a regular basis. They are responsive, careful and have been v helpful in allowing the 165 or so owners time to pay in installments for the repair of the Grade A listed building. When, over the last 5 years, we have had issues with two, now former, employees the MD has been superb taking time to meet with the Residents' Committee and responding well to our concerns.

Dealing with awkward situations is difficult. Dealing successfully with what seems an impossible problem is the mark of a company that fulfils its service responsibilities. Water leaks from the flat above mine should not be a difficult mater to resolve but when the owner of the source of the problem is evasive that is where more heat than light can take over. When John Hempstead gripped the problem he did so in a tactful, non-confrontational and persistent manner producing a positive outcome. I have no hesitation in recommend him and Newton Property Management.

My building is looking for a new factors. I approached Newton as they had a good website so I thought I'd ask for a quote. My first two calls went unanswered, on my third i was put on silent hold for ten minutes after explaining I was looking for a new factor and then hung up on. On my fourth calli explained again and was put on hold again for 5 minutes after which I was told the woman in charge of new business would call me back. She didn't. If it is this difficult to contact this company to give them money, I shudder to think how they deal with burst pipes!

Ignore the previous review by Christine Martin. Newton are doing a good job in difficult circumstancs. Those difficult circumstance include the likes of Christine Martin, who are part of a small minority here who complain loudly anything they don’t like and think their opinion is the only right one. despite being amongst many other residents with other opinions. This includes threatening legal action over minor matters probably aided by lackey lawyers working no-win-no-fee, probs cos they have nothing better to do. This just raises everyone elses costs and distracts our factor from useful things

I cannot begin to describe how highly I rate Newton Property Management. When I bought my flat I was horrified to discover the large development had inherited from the developer a truly terrible property management company who were expensive, dishonest and completely incompetent. We overpaid for many years while watching buildings and grounds being seriously neglected and our money being wasted. After years of horrendous ‘service' we decided to look into changing factor, we didn't think it would be possible (mostly because the previous factor told us it wasnt and we stupidly believed them) and the amount of properties involved was so large. We were a bit disappointed in many of the factors who met with us. This all changed when we contacted Newton Property Management on the recommendation of one of the owners who highly rated Newton as a letting agent. Lizanne in their Glasgow office went above and beyond and gave us the confidence and all the help needed...we are absolutely delighted we were successful. We held a vote meeting for all owners and Newton Property Management were appointed. Newton have a can do attitude and despite the fact our bills have already decreased (they had ALOT of work to do due when taking over so this was a very pleasant surprise) the buildings and grounds are now being looked after to a very high standard with a hard working company we can completely trust. Don’t settle for bad service, changing factor isn’t that hard! It's early days but judging by what they have achieved already I would wholeheartedly recommend Newton Property Management to turn around your building or development. PS. I've not been asked to write a review which I think is important!

I have read loads of reviews slating factors and didn't appreciate how good Newton were until I could compare them with another company. Newton took over the factoring of the Herald building last year the difference compared to the previous factor is chalk & cheese. Firstly is should state that Newton were extremely helpful and professional in dealing with the handover from the previous factors. After taking over the factoring they quickly assessed the building and identified various maintenance and safety issues that had not been addressed by the previous factors. Currently they are implementing a programme of improvements including new door entry system, led lightning etc If anyone is looking to change factors I would thoroughly recommend they contact Newton.

As a resident and a landlord I have found the services provided excellent. Communications are prompt and polite. They dealt with Insurance Company on our behalf regarding repairs to my home and repairs to communal areas without me having to lift a finger. I did not have to oversee or communicate anything related to the Insurance Company and payment to contractors. Maintenance of planting and fencing of communal parking and garage is to a very high standard.

I can honestly say Newton have changed my option for the better. I believe the majority of real estate agents in Glasgow always score low and we all know why. However, Newton Property seems to be a good choice compared to other agents where you deal with frauds and liars. I have tried other agents such as Edzell, Parker Property, Clyde, Slater Hogg & Howison and Cairn, and they were really bad! Based on my experience, non of them deserves more than 3 stars. I mean if you know how letting agents are working in other countries such as USA, Canada and Australia you will understand what I mean. God help us all.
