The team at Martin & Co have been a pleasure to work with throughout my rental search and move-in. In the current rental market, I was struggling to find a flat and was lucky enough to meet Kate, who gave me invaluable advice even though they did not currently have any properties available. She then used her expertise to negotiate a parking sublet agreement with the landlord on a property that was coming onto the market which would have otherwise been out of my budget. Jess then took over management of my rental, being incredibly helpful throughout the process of signing for the property and getting all paperwork in order. Beth was then assigned as my property manager and has been very responsive and helpful with any queries I have had. The few minor maintenance issues that have arisen in the first few weeks of my tenancy have been resolved quickly and efficiently- with people sent to fix issues either the same or following day from when they were reported, despite them not being particularly urgent. Even whilst my property manager was on annual leave, any queries I had were immediately resolved by Sue. Every interaction I have had so far with Martin & Co has been respectful, polite and efficient. They are the best letting agents I have ever had the pleasure of renting with, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to rent a property in Leeds.

Martin & Co Leeds have been the best estate agents I have had manage my tenancy. The process was really simple and the people I dealt with for viewings were professional and fast to get back to my queries. They use a nice interface to help manage your tenancy and give you a dedicated Property Manager who is your go to person for any questions or problems. Isobel has been great with us and really helped us with bumping up the moving date a couple days earlier which meant I wasn't homeless! She has been very professional and has sorted out every issue we have raised. She is also very considerate which is refreshing as I was used to having my questions and issues totally ignored! So far it has been very pleasant and I hope I will have the opportunity to use them again in the future!

Recently rented a City apartment through Martin and Co, from start to finish they were fantastic. We had a lot of interactions with other letting agencies who were quite frankly horrific, so it was very refreshing to deal with someone who actually knows what there talking about. On the dat we moved in we met our Property Manager Liam who again was fantastic. He broke down all aspects of the move and was very accommodating. His customer service is exceptional, he fixes issues fast and they have introduced new systems for tenants to log and report issues, thus they get fixed quicker. I have been renting a flat with Martin & Co for nearly a year now, and I have found this company to be the best private lettings agency I have ever dealt with. The staff are friendly and polite. They helped find me a very affordable flat (395 pcm) in the centre of Leeds after another agency turned my application down for simply wishing to rent in six month periods at a time. Their property management service is good - it is nice to talk to someone about repairs that need doing, even if they take their time a bit to get things repaired. Central Leeds is a noticeably diverse place and the Martin team reflects that, so you are made welcome in their office near Leeds Bridge, whatever your background.

I have had the privilege of working with Rohan and Isobel at Martin & Co for roughly 6 months now and I can whole heartedly say my experience as a landlord has been fabulous. Having worked with a variety of estate agents in Leeds & London for over 10 years across 5 different properties, this is by far the best experience I've ever had! Rohan and his team sourced great tenants for me who are caring for our home and paying rent on time. Consequently, Martin & Co always pays my share of the rent within 24hrs of the due date, no complaints or chasing required whatsoever. Isobel's meticulous nature ensures she always has the care of my home as her 1st priority, including its security & preserving its quality. She has supplied me with the most detailed inventory I've ever seen, making sure every inch of our home is included and in tip top condition. She has overseen all contractual work, making sure it is done to perfection before signing off. She coordinated with my previous (awful) estate agents, spotted and sorted out the messes they left behind and helped deal with unpaid bills from previous tenants also. As managers, both Isobel and Rohan are always available, polite, professional and efficient. They always responds to me, are often on their emails, working beyond their hours, and a pleasure to deal with. I have lived in an apartment managed by Martin & Co Leeds City for a year and a half, between 2013 and 2015. Martin & Co Leeds City and its staff as a whole have been great throughout the whole period – from the first flat viewings, through the various admininistrative bits and repairs during the tenancy, to the check out from the flat. There have been a number of (reasonable) issues during the tenancy, but the staff of Martin and Co have been prompt and efficient in dealing with these. If (sometimes) solving such issues has required more than a call and/or a visit to the agency, I suspect this is due to the high volume of properties they manage. I left the flat early with respect to the end of my tenancy, and I was worried I would remain stuck with paying the rent until the end of the contract (which was quite a few months away). Michael Drake and other staff members reassured me that the flat would go away very quickly and that I did not need to worry. In the end everything went very smoothly. If you are looking for a flat/property in Leeds city centre, and if you want to be assisted by competent and efficient people, this is the agency to go to.

I have been living in Leeds for almost 4 years now, using different estate agents and having various landlords for each year, with each one ranging from frustrating to down right atrocious. In contrast, Martin&Co have treated me wonderfully, not as potential profit, or as a young person who is easy to scam, but simply as a person looking for a home. Each staff member I have had contact with has taken the time and care to explain things properly, even going so far as to contact me and arrange viewings on the same day as new properties have become available. The property is good value for money and important maintenance issues are usually dealt with quickly. I didn't expect that with a landlord living in Monaco. Expensive and convoluted signing system if you're self-employed however, which led to my partner outlaying over £200 to apply, in return for being given consistently vague and opposing information by three different employees. Was a stressful period. HOWEVER, this was partly due to Lauren Schofield being away at the time, who is absolutely the most competent and attentive person I deal with at the agency, so I'm lucky to have her email. Heard good things about Michael too - not had the pleasure yet.

I have owned flats in Leeds since 2003 and at first I used 3 or 4 agents some were better than others but none were totaly satisfactory. I discovered Martin & Co through their York Office, the owner also owned the Leeds branch which is now owned by Elizabeth. I can say without exception all her staff are friendly, polite, efficient and professional. On the rental side I have dealt mainly with Michael who is excellent and now Adam who is also excellent. They let my flats quickly and at a good rent. I cannot praise Khaqan enough who deals with the check in and maintenance issues. Nothing is too much trouble. Although I manage the flats myself, when I am away on holiday, if anything needs attention he steps in and deals with it. Now Emma seems to be doing a similar role to Khaqan and she is also excellent. They keep me informed and provide estimates for any maintenance work so there are no shock invoices. The feed back I get from my tenants is they are very pleased with their service. Although we are already to complain, I think that if you receive service which is exceptional you should also contact the company and let them know. I have spoken to Elizabeth a couple of times to let her know what excellent service her staff provide. I have no hesitation in recommending Martin & Co to prosptive landlords and tenats.

Ok, but be careful. My boyfriend and I moved in on a Saturday but they said we weren't allowed to unpack until the Monday because they said they needed to take photos of the property first. Estate agent turned up on the Monday and then left, and there was no reason why we couldn't have unpacked over the weekend. They held the last tenants deposit for professional cleaning, but it wasn't cleaned when we moved in. They then tried to hold our deposit for professional cleaning, but immediately gave up when we questioned them. Wouldn't be my first choice.
