Sam and Rosie helped me put my house on rent with such an ease during the most difficult times of COVID-19. I would recommend Spencers in Leicester if you are selling or buying a home, they were brilliant. We have finally moved house to a beautiful home after a 19 month process, where what could go wrong did!! We changed to Spencers half way through the process to get things moving. Back in January my wife and I decided to move from London to Leicester so we temporarily stayed at our friends in Leicester whilst looking for a property to rent. Took us a month and a half to find one. Personally visited 51 letting agency and had eye-to-eye conversations with all of them. Came across Spencers as the agents for the house I was buying in 2011 and they were so much better, more efficient and more personable than my own agents, I went to them to help rent out my former home. Expected selling my mum's empty house to be really tricky as being done through a lasting power of attorney and living 100 miles away from Leicester. I had a property to sell, and have not been in this position for some twenty-two years, so was finding it hard to decide which Estate Agent to use to market and sell the property. I was wandering around Wigston with my wife and her sister, and after chatting about our options over lunch, decided to pop into Spencer’s to ask an initial few questions. Jo Thorpe, the Senior Branch Manager, dealt with us, and we were all so impressed with her answers and professionalism that we decided to use Spencer’s to manage the sale of the property. Our next stage was to have the property valued, and we met Mark Taylor, the Leicester Office’s Senior Property Appraisal Manager at the property a few days later. Again, Mark impressed us with his expertise and advice during the valuation, and we knew that we had chosen the correct agents to put the property on the market. Since this time, we’ve had the photos taken of the property, which were superbly done, and the details sent across for checking, which were perfect. The property has now gone on the market, and within a day Spencer’s had set up a block viewing, with around forty interested parties booking viewings for the day. We’ve now popped into Spencer’s Leicester Office for a chat with Gianfranco Paparozzi, who is the Branch Manager (Residential Sales), and were given a fully detailed update on where we were with the marketing of the property and the next steps. We couldn’t be happier with the level of competence and knowledge that each and every member of staff we have had dealings with has shown. We have no doubt that the property will sell in a very short space of time, and that the final stages of the sale will be executed by Spencer’s as excellently as everything up to now.

Everyone we've dealt with at Spencer's has been amazing, we were able to sort out a viewing quickly, and when we were chosen to go forward with the tenancy by the landlord, referencing etc was a very smooth and quick process. This is my partner and I's first place together, they've given us loads of advice about electric and water set-up etc. When we first viewed our flat the previous tenants still lived there and it wasn't in the best state, but we saw past this. Spencer's then let us have a second go in the flat when it was empty to see it properly. They let us take our time (we wanted to measure things etc to know what furniture to buy etc!). Well where do I start ? John left us with all the information we needed bar a valuation but to be honest this wasnt what made me choose Spencers, it was after receiving a call a few days later from Franco the branch manager that i made up my mind to use them .There was no hard sell just lots of information about the Company generally but also about himself ,his experience of selling property in Leicester and an assurance that i would receive a first class service not only from the team but from Franco personally. All viewings ,and there were many ,were all accompanied and within 3 weeks of signing the contract with Spencers we had a buyer . The house was really in a position where we felt pretty confident that it would sell fairly easily but without the expertise of Franco who literally oversaw the entire process from beginning to end but worked especially hard on the day of exchange and " got the job done " when it looked as if it wasnt going to happen frustratingly for a third day running .Well done Franco . I really don't like estate agents - they are more of a necessary evil in order to sell your house. Spencers were different! The team at the Leicester branch really couldn't do enough to make the sale happen. They did the viewings, established finances of prospective purchasers - all the things you'd hope for. But, as always, the real measure is when things don't go quite right, smoothly, or at the pace you'd wanted. That's when they came into their own - more specifically that's when Sandra Nightingale came into her own. Sandra chased solicitors, chased financial advisors, chased the purchaser, she followed up on every date and deadline that they all advised, she shared in my frustrations - but worked tirelessly to not only put me at ease but to resolve all the issues that were delaying the purchase. One word - OUTSTANDING!!! Property went on the market and in less than a week it was sold and at asking price! We knew from the moment we met Mark for the valuation that these guys are experts in their field. When Mark went on a skiing holiday a few days after our appointment, nothing was held up. We met with Jon who completed all the relevant paperwork in a timely and professional manner. The professional photos were then done within 48 hours at no extra cost (none of this amateur stuff!) I had made inquires about a certain property in Leicester that was put up for sale around May 2018. However, I was informed that there were many offers and infact the property had been sold within a week and it had been "sold subject to contract" for the asking price. However, the property was back on the market in October 2018 when I first made contact with Gianfanco Paparozi at the Spencers branch in the town centre. I very quickly realised that I wish I had spoken to Gianfanco in the first place as I found his approach extremely professional as he knew exactly how to provide the top level customer care. Within 10 minutes of meeting up with Gianfanco, I had all the reassurances of my mortgages been dealt with by one of the in-house advisors and all my paper work checked for my offer to be put to the Vendors. Before I left the office Gianfanco had already spoken to the Vendor and reassured me that the property would be sold to me as soon as the mortgage company gave me the go-ahead.
