Lighthouse properties have been managing our property whilst we are out of the country. This is our first time renting out a property but it was made easier as they provided good guidance throughout the process. They found us a tenant and sorted out the necessary paperwork promptly and we receive good communication from them regarding any issues. We have had a minor plumbing issue which they sorted swiftly and at a very reasonable cost.

I moved into a Lighthouse property at the start of my final university year. Though there were some initial problems, the staff were very friendly and happy to help, quickly resolving any issues. They informed us well in advance of any house inspections, allowing us ample time to prepare, and once they had finished the inspections they left polite notices informing us off any areas to keep an eye on. Moving out and returning the keys was a simple procedure, and they completed their final check extremely quickly, and fairly, and returned the deposit in full. I was happy with my time in a Lighthouse Property.

Lighthouse are excellent letting agents, they are fair with both price and their quality services towards their clients. I can not fault their tremendous customer service which means any problems that a tenant has can be resolved in a matter of hours. The property was in great condition when we arrived at the start of the year and the property was very well fitted out. After dealing with them for two years I would not express an interest in letting with any other company. I do not believe I would receive the same high quality that I do with Lighthouse. Compared to a lot of friends in other places of the country I think that we are very lucky to have such generous agents.

Have been with Lighthouse for around 6 years. Let my property through them, their terms of contract have been very reasonable and service exceptional. They very quickly found a tenant for me in the first place, the lady kept the house very well. Any small problems were handled very efficiently and reasonably by their in-house contractors, in fact I have not had to be involved in the management at any point in the last 6 years. Whenever there have been problems with the house, and there have been one or two quite serious ones over the years, Lighthouse have been able to sort them out speedily and satisfactorily. When tenants have left, the re-letting has usually gone very smoothly, with new tenants being found and vetted quickly, and I have always found them to be very helpful in the process. This was my first rented accommodation on my own and they made the process as easy as possible for me. I found their replies by email quick and efficient. During the tenancy if I had any problems they were solved within the first couple of days of contact. They felt very friendly and approachable no matter the issue I had. After letting under Lighthouse for two years, my experience was both good and bad. The staff were friendly, welcoming, organised and mostly accommodating, and I had no issues whatsoever in the first year, up until the point of our house being burgled in the second. Whilst they obviously are not to blame for this happening nor can they prevent it, Lighthouse only provided care for one tenant, and not myself. In the weeks subsequent to the burglary, Lighthouse provided a bedroom lock for my other housemate, who was not living in the property and had minimal valuables stored in the room. However, when I queried why I was not having one fitted also, I was told it was due to the cost to the landlord (which the locksmith informed me was only around £10 and stated he would personally request them to fit me one due to myself feeling unsafe - this never happened). As a tenant who found the burglary and continued to live in the house 7 days a week with all my items, I was very shaken by the whole event and felt unfairly treated. For this reason I would not recommend Lighthouse. This aside, however, I commend them for never charging any damages to my deposit, and being accessible over two years.

I stayed in Brayford Court for my first year of study and the social aspects are great, and any problems were resolved by lighthouse property services as long as they get reported quickly. Having been with other letting agencies previously, I can without a doubt say that Lighthouse are by far the best. We have had most of our dealings with either Bradley or Nathan, both of which are lovely and a brilliant addition to the business. We have dealt with Lighthouse Property Services for around 15 years and on the whole the service has been good. As with any letting relationship there are issues with tenants/maintenance etc. however the speed that these are matters are dealt with is very good. We therefore have no hesitation in recommending Lighthouse to both tenants and landlords.

Really wonderful staff from the onset, been renting with them for nearly 2 years in student housing, in that time the staff have been really helpful and prompt with getting our issues passed on to the landlady/maintanance team. Whilst people often associate student letting agency poorly, I have had a wonderful experience with lighthouse, but it is always important to remember that everything in terms of repairs and maintenance needs landlady/lord approval, which in some cases can be timely, and our house needed a lot of love. Despite our sometimes excessively slow landlady, on approving quite important issues for example our leaking shower and loud boiler. I found the staff at lighthouse were really good at constantly chasing her up to try and move the process along as soon as possible for us, and constantly keep us in the loop in the progress of aproval. Once work was under way, I also found the contractors used by lighthouse to be extremely friendly and efficient in their trades, getting the job done with little disruption and to a standard, which has stood the test of time. Overall the staff at lighthouse are wonderful and happy to help, and defiantly should not be judged by the failings of landlady and Lord’s. I didn’t give 5* simply because I feel their despoits are too high went compared to other student letting agency, but I understand that they are set by the landlords and lady’s, and because when we moved in to our house the fire detectors hadn’t been checked in the kitchen, and I had to request my room be deep cleaned again, again this aspect is often done by the landlady and lord and lighthouse have a lot of properties to assess in this small window between tenants.

I rented a house with Lighthouse in my final year at university and after hearing various stories of how they are as a property service, I was extremely pleased with the service as a whole and friendliness of the staff. Whenever there was a query or issue within the house, they were quick to find a solution or get someone in to sort the problem. Of course, it can take a little longer as they have to ask the landlords permission before any work was carried out, but at no point were we left without water, heating etc if there was a problem. Prices of the properties are very reasonable and because bills and internet is all included, it makes life a lot easier when you don't have to worry about paying several different bills at different times. It also made the moving out process completely straightforward as all you needed to do was make sure the house was clean and tidy and to hand the keys back - no cancelling bills or utility contracts. Overall great experience with Lighthouse and would definitely recommend them to others in the future :)

Lighthouse do have a reputation within the student on Lincoln as being not one of the best property services. But when you are with them they are generally a good company to be with. Every query/question or request that I have ever asked of them has been completed quickly and to a good quality state. The main problem with students is that they do not understand that when it comes to to fixing a problem lighthouse do have to contact the landlord and get their permission before completing any jobs. This can be a lot of work if the landlord isn't particularity helpful and because of this lighthouse get an undeserved bad name. So my overall experience has been good they have always quickly done what I needed them to do for me with ease. Don't always believe what you hear.

I have used lighthouse property services to rent three houses during my time at university. This is due to the efficiency in which they deal with any problem that occurs. They are contactable through the office, telephone and email - so there is always someone to talk to if there are any problems in the property. There is also a choice on how you pay the rent. A direct debit can be set up each month or you can pay in lump sums, which is good for when student loans come in - a lot of companies do not do this, which makes them a good comany to rent through.

Spent all three years of my bachelors degree living in their properties and had little to no problems with them. They are prompt in replying to emails and getting work done. They have friendly and helpful staff. They are a great letting agent that strives to make your student living experience as good as possible.

Started looking for accommodation quite late as i changed courses. So look at a lot of companies but had any no luck. I went to lighthouse to see what they had to offer, i didn't like any of the properties that i was shown, as i went away had had a good look through their website and found a few, but when going to view these properties it was said to me that these house may not be suitable for me. To the agent took me to a few other place that would be more suitable, as i did not want to live with 18 year olds and needed a big room. So the move in went fine, there were a few problems with the property by lighthouse were quick to sort them out, as well as during the year when there was any problems maintenance were quick to react i mean within the same day with serious issues. There was a few other problems with the property but lighthouse tried to get these sorted and where helpful and friendly when it came to needed help with things. I do think that the house inventory should be done on an individual bases not as a house hold as we were four people moving into a shared house with people we didn't know and not everyone moved in the same time. I know a lot of people complain about lighthouse but in our case lighthouse tried their best to help us, but in the end it was the house owners that refused to fix things, so we complain about lighthouse but in the end it is not them, they did everything on their part to help but the final decisions was not from them (These issues included change of fridge and closing up the fireplace).

We are currently in the process of renting a property through this company as our first family home. We originally sent email enquiries through right move but this didn't get a reply so after a week i called the office and once we managed to get in touch with them directly the service and manner was fantastic. We went for a viewing of two houses and the agent showing us round had all the info to hand or knew the answers to our questions and even got in touch the next day to see how we were and if we wanted to proceed with the application. We did this and within two days of originally seeing the property the checks and paperwork had been done, the landlord agreed to go ahead and we had a moving in day! Although the process was only short ( something we were surprised by and very happy about) . Since this day we have had email contact with updates on things to do with the property that we will be moving into next week. We couldn't recommend this estate agents more they are friendly but professional and always answer questions ies within a few hours. Great customer service.

I feel it's only fair to give this company half the 5 star rating because the young lady i have spoken with prior to my most recent experience has polite and helpful, but the women who i spoke with last was beyond a joke, she was blunt and rude with an attitude problem, talking down to me like a child. Considering this is meant to be part of one of the biggest estate agents in the UK this member of staff seemed to be dressed more casual then the students, i don't see it fair for the whole company to be let down by one member of staff, management shouldn't allow that kind of person to be customer facing.

If they are unsure of an answer to our queries they research and come back to us as soon as possible. We could not ask for a better service.

I've read some of your reviews about how repairs takes so long and other stuff and i have to say that's half true. I've had a boiler problem and after i've send an email to one of the staff ( it was friday), next monday the plumber came. Yes, it took over 1 week or so to get the job done because the plumber didn't get my problem quite right and did not tested thoroughly and he had to come 3 times. What matter is that the job is done and also the staff is very nice and understanding to your requests. 4/5 because of the plumber.

I think Lighthouse get a rough time of it through renting out to students who seem to wreck a house and then use their 'law knowledge' to have a moan. Our letting was cut short through external circumstances and the manager met with us the next morning, sorting everything out, deposit back to us straight away and paperwork settled.
