Having used cheaper online agents to find the last 2 sets of tenants for my flat, I must admit I was reluctant to appoint HSC given their higher charges. But wow am I glad that I did. Within 2 days they'd found an ideal tenant and they were responsive throughout the process of setting up the new tenancy. It's now clear to me what you pay for vs the online portals: 1) local market knowledge, 2) their long list of high quality potential tenants (the new tenant said to me themselves they would have never gone ahead with a viewing if the flat wasn't listed with an established high street letting agent), and 3) personal service with an individual who knows you and your flat. HSC has been my chosen letting agent for more than ten years. They have found reliable new tenants on five or more occasions over that time with tenancies ranging from one to more than three years with minimal vacant periods. I receive frequent communication from their office with honest advice. Recently they advised me that the apartment would benefit from redecoration and some other cosmetic improvements during the latest vacant period. They arranged contractors to start work the day after the last tenant vacated and the work was completed in less than two weeks. The agency then "dressed" the apartment with soft furnishings, to give it a habitable look, before putting it back on the market. A new tenant was found within 48 hours at a rent which in my observation matched anything comparable on the Rightmove website. I have nothing but the highest praise for the service I get from them both in finding tenants and in looking after the tenant once they take up the residency. I engage them as a Landlord and for Property management. I would like to recommend them for both.

Very happy with HSC! Found an amazing place with a good price with the help of Kris. Kris was very prompt to reply all my emails during the moving in process. We were promised an induction hob upon moving in and while it was difficult to find the right size, Kris kept in contact , followed up on the matter and we finally got the hob installed. The HSC lettings team did another very good job in finding me a long term tenant. They sourced a good offer at very close to the asking rent within a couple of weeks at a difficult time of the year. The process from there of moving through referencing, the agreement and payment was all very smooth. The only issue I have had is that sometimes the various teams within the lettings department don’t communicate as seamlessly as they might - there were a couple of crossed wires when my previous tenant moved out. Other than that, the service is prompt, efficient and helpful and at a reasonable commission.

We have been using HSC's services (buy, sell, rent and manage) for nearly a decade now. They are the only agency that we feel comfortable working with. They are fair in their assessment - suggested the right market price that can get a deal closed without losing too much time. There are times that they advised me not to sell yet as it's not the right time (I would either have to wait a long time or make a loss). They are able to find us the right tenants swiftly with just a couple or few visits. All of their staff is easy to work with (minimum trouble, clear and timely communications). So it's such a breeze! I rented an apartment through Hurford Salvi Carr. The whole experience from first walking into their office until moving into my apartment has been a pleasure and very easy. They showed me an apartment on Tuesday and already on Thursday I was able to move in, they worked very hard to make it possible. The place is really nice as well, I am very happy with it!
