Wonderful place...very green and wide open. Conveniently located near Cockfosters Underground station, the huge country park is place with natural beauty. The long walking path with tall trees on both sides is an ideal place for joggers. You can take the car inside the forest for picnic. The kids get entertained too. A perfect family outing venue in all weather.

This is without a doubt the best Country Park you will find in North London. The ideal place to go for a walk, relax in the sun, have a picnic and ride a bike. There are plenty of parking spaces, and a really nice cafe next to the car park. There is no better feeling than a walk around Trent Park, because you do get the feeling that you are in the countryside whilst admiring the stunning scenery. I would strongly recommend anyone to bring a camera with, as there are plenty of opportunities to take decent Landscape and Nature stills. The best place to take photographs is around the open fields and of course The Japanese Garden! If you are intending to travel to Trent Park via public transport then Cockfosters Station is approximately a 10-15 minutes walk from the main entrance.

Interesting park, with enough space to take the dog and kids for a good leg stretch. The water garden was a highlight and the cafe was very popular. The overflow carpark was really rutted and the public toilets were a bit naff, but functional.

I love taking my dog here. There's all sorts of areas to explore from thick woods, open fields, meadows, small rivers, lakes, paved paths (if you don't want to get to muddy), an obelisk, a couple of coffee shops and even a Japanese water garden. Shame there's building work going on off to one side, where some houses are being built.

Is a big park and is just off the picadilly line or a few busses go here so easy to get to. Loads of parking on both ends of the park and on both sides there are free rest rooms that normally are pretty well maintained. On the main entrance from cockfoster side as a plus there's the Go Ape fun park and also a nice Caffe/ bar with food and drinks. People here are friendly, the park is good for walking the dog or a Sunday stroll, loads of well maintained path to walk on and loads of benches to rest alongside them. Plenty of off the beaten track trail bike rides, MTB xc trails, you can go running on the main asphalted road or go trail running the whole outside perimeter I measured 8mi (if u did more let me know how) loads of ppl go here for bird watching, feeding the squirrells or the ducks, there's plenty to do and there's loads of wild life here.

A great place for walks during Covid. Trent park is well spaced out with wide paths so it is a good place for walks and allows you to keep socially distanced from other people. There is a good amount of parking (different areas) and different facilities on site. It was clean and there are different things to look at like the water gardens and an obelisk. Recommend if you want to have a walk during the Covid situation.

Great park with lovely walking trails through the woods. There is a nice cafe that sells a good selection of teas and coffee and also a good selection of foods. We came a couple of years ago and did the GoApe adventure, that's worth a go. Anyhow highly recommended!

Very tranquil in the woods but as always there are people too special to use the bins. Cars also drive at you on the way in and out but once you've bypassed these entitled beings the woods are lovely. There are toilets plus a disabled toilet and an eaterie.

One of the best parks to go in North London. Maybe even London. This place gives you a feel of freedom, peace and a great place to walk. There is local farm land surrounding the park, which gives you the sense of freedom and peace. In the centre of the park is a pond where people fish and let their dogs go for a swim. It is a beautiful park that offers great walking trails and amazing nature. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely loved Trent Country Park! With its rolling landscapes that stretch out as far as our eyes could see in every direction, you can be forgiven for not realising that you're actually still within the London Borough of Enfield. Beautiful. We didn't have the pleasure of seeing any rabbits [which I really wouldn't have minded] only their droppings gave them away. So tranquil. One of the only downers was we only spotted one set of public toilets near the entrance to the carparks (there was ample parking btw). The floor was flooded and there wasn't an attendant in sight to sort it out. The other downer was spotting a couple of empty beer cans, a plastic wrapping for something or other and an empty quashed plastic bottle all left behind by one thoughtless party🙄

Fantastic country park with loads of space to enjoy, ranging from woodland, fields and lakes. You can walk for miles through beautiful woods, and there are two cafes where you can take a rest. Plenty of parking for cars via main entrance and also Hadley Road entrance, which is generally the quieter of the two. Main entrance is about 15 mins walk from Cockfosters tube station (Piccadilly line). So, stick the wellies on the kids, coffee money in your pocket, and enjoy!

An absolute favourite for weekend walks in the nature! Be sure to try Go Ape and the ice cream. Cornish Vanilla is awesome! Fields are open for jumping around, picnic or snowball fight. If there was rain, snow or whatever, always use wellies or proper shoes. High heels are a no-no!

This place is huge! It’s hard to see just how big it is but you certainly don’t feel like you are near London. Lots of places to explore and paths to follow. Plenty of parking and the cafe is good. There’s also a wildlife rescue centre that you can pay to look round. Take you wellies in winter and after rain.

Just a few minutes drive from the Potters Bar exit on M25. Terrific place for family and friends and plenty of walking trails for those that are fitness conscious. 51st state festival today. BE honest...we expected alot more. it seemed alot of the music followed the same theme of house, garage, and dance. very little variety. We had our second visit to Brent Park today. Went in the afternoon with our 2 girls aged 2 and 5. Its a great park for kids and family day out. There are 3 playgrounds for toddlers up to teens. There is also a Zipline attraction which we we didnt have time to go on, but looked lile fun. Its a really large park and has places to order food, drinks and ice cream. Its an ideal place to go for a long run. I recommend coming when its sunny to take advantage of photo opportunities as the scenery is very nice. I can imagine it would also be amazing during winter time.

I love this park. First of all it is a big one. Even when more people are visiting, you don't feel overcrowded. Beautiful scenery. I like biking there. Possible to do long walks. Good place for your dog. There are some water reservoirs, woods, around some agricultural fields. There are two interesting sites to discover. Monument and medieval settlement. I don't want to spoil, so no more to say. After your visit you may be tempted to treat yourself with delicious choice of desserts. Two different places, both excellent! With own atmosphere. Go ape - if you like to burn calories. I am sure I have forgotten something!

Was there on Saturday morning for a walk with one other person. Park was rammed!!!! Social distancing ok when out in park but around the car park, cafe and loos virtually non-existent. It was a nice day weather-wise so alot of people out. When we left about 11.30ish queues to get in and out of car park, queues to get to get in and out of park onto main road. Could do with some sort of control on how people in car park, cafe and loo areas.

The park has two cafes, the one near the animal sanctuary is small but always well stocked and friendly. The cafe near the main car park is much larger and serves cooked food to order, cakes and snacks, drinks and ice cream.We stumbled on the park by accident visiting the local area and looking for somewhere to picnic. What a beautiful spot under the trees to eat and free parking. There are toilets by the carpark and a cafe.

Semi rural parkland which, to the credit of the local council, is run very well. Provides good access to parking and a pleasant park cafe. Perfect for fitness and family fun, walking talking and cycling. There are small lakes and ponds, fun and education for kids. Physically links much of the local area and is now seeing some residential development on it's outer periphery. Well worth a visit.

I have a great regard for Trent Park, as it is a major destination for both my social bike rides and the walking group I facilitate for my local mental health charity. There are miles of surfaced trails for both leisure cyclists and dedicated walkers, but beyond that, there is not much pleasant to describe. I am sorry to be able to award only three points, but the closure of the college that used to occupy the old Manor of Trent House and its conversion into luxury flats makes my egalitarian blood BOIL. The caff is naff, expensive and uncongenial so is best avoided by anyone without a fat bank balance. Even these might be put off by the long wait for service. At least there is a public toilet there, and the seats are comfortable

Easily accessible by road, bus and rail (Oakwood or Cockfosters stations on the Piccadilly line). This is a favourite family destination for picnics and walking across open ground or in woodland. There is a small playground adjacent to the cafe. Plenty of parking available and the toilet block is regularly cleaned and well maintained. It is also worth seeking out the Water Garden. The Go Ape area takes advantage of natural tree coverage. It can get very busy, so pre-book.

Big park and gardens with lots of parking, lots of walks in open and forest areas. Cafe and kids playground on site so a good family day out. Easy to picnic throughout the park as well. When we went lost of families camping out for the day with shelters gazebos etc on the many big lawns. Lots of big lakes and they are redoing a big lawn in front of the old house for 2020. Can get busy around lunchtime so better to arrive early so you can get a car space. Also an easy walk from Cockfosters station.

Nice park with a lot to do. Rolling hills or walk through the forest. Historical moat, garden, lakes, ponds (a bit dry at the moment) and memorials. The park also hosts a Go Ape, hockey club, golf course, mini golf, country club, and a few cafes. Nice place to come and relax.

A lovely place to come to walk your dogs or just meet up with friends. Unfortunately, although the cafe is well situated in the grounds and it's spacious outside, it is very expensive, got very little change of a tenner for a panini and hot chocolate drink. Shame the staff are not very friendly or welcoming, almost like you're an inconvenience to them. The man serving me was standing in the way of the drinks board so when I enquired how much a hot chocolate was he told me it's on the board madam can you not see? If you have a family with you and ordered drinks and a sandwich, or meal each, I think you'd be in for a shock at how much it would cost. Also be prepared to bring tissues with you if you intend on using the public toilets as there is very little toilet paper available, if at all.

Our local country park! Acres of natural land, woods and lakes and beautiful views. On hot, sunny weekends it can get overcrowded and parking is difficult. Also, service at the otherwise good cafe can be terribly slow. My main complaint is just too few bins for dog's poo bags. People are hanging them from trees because the bins are so few and far between!

A beautiful park with a great history. We are often over there, winter and summer, and just love to wander around the enormous grounds. Plenty of walks, where you come across the odd statue and acres and acres of land. Another area of the park are the lakes and the wonderful gardens with the pond in its centre. Another review mentions the downside of the park is people and dogs - it’s a park!!! You can either be amongst people in the most popular areas (the lakes, the kiosk), you can walk around the garedens, or you can lose yourself in more secluded parts and just take in the wonderful atmosphere, plants, trees and wildlife (rabbits too). Once when we were over there a number of hot air balloons passed over -now that was a sight. Also good for photography. Beautiful wooded areas, I could just go on and on..................

Great place! I didn't have huge expectations but was very pleased with the park and facilities available. Go Ape makes it a destination for adults and older kids, while otherwise the park is huge and you can make a day out of it. The animal rescue centre was the highlight for us, lovely and heart warming place! The park has toilets and a great restaurant, not as cheap as you would expect but good food and snacks. Parking is sufficient, too.

Trent park is so well kept and there's loads to do. There's some fantastic walks, beautiful rivers and woods. Go ape situated in the park which is brilliant fun! Farm/wildlife centre amthere too. Would recommend for dog walkers, walkers and families!

Large park with lots of open space, plenty of trees and some flowers here and there. Cafe nearest to the Oakwood Station entrance small and old fashioned but nice and reasonably priced. I had a small latte and a thin slice of coffee and walnut cake for £3.35. There are some animals there which you pay £3.00 to see but I didn't get around to visiting that part.

I love Trent Park, been coming here for years! A few comments.... Wish they upgraded their toilets to be more pleasant. The cafe could do with being larger and more welcoming. No smoking signs need to be everywhere too so selfish smokers get the message! There are families everywhere and we don't wish to breathe in your toxic fumes!!! ,l Management & staff must enforce this! All in all a great place to visit.

A fantastic open space. This is a great park with huge open spaces and brilliant woodland, huge trees and a huge variety of trees. At the bottom end are of the park there are lakes. At the top end ( main entrance end ) there is very good restaurant. This is a great park for all seasons, very good in winter. Possibly best in London ! .

Fantastic day out, loads of walking through woods, fields. The animal sanctuary worth a visit, kids love it and staff so friendly and knowledgeable, have brought 3 different groups of friends here, highly recommend. The Cafe is pretty good value too! Free parking and a short walk to Cockfosters High Street for restaurants or Sainsbury. A big favourite for playing football in the fields.

This is a large public park with a mix of woodlands and open spaces. Easy access from Cockfosters and Hadley road car parks, and the tubes. Not spectacularly good for wheelchair access.

The place is no longer being looked after especially the Japanese Water Garden was a big letdown. However the place is good for hiking, walking trails, cycling. What an amazing place set in beautiful surroundings. Easy to get to by car or Oakwood station is near by. The Country Club is furnished to a very high standard. We had lunch with our daughter. Part of a huge area stretching miles with several entrances. Excellent if you like walking your dog or just relaxing! Main entrance is about 1/4 from Cockfosters tube, Piccadilly Line. After walking about 200 metres or so there is a Supervised Adventure area on your right. ££ Payable . If you WALK alongside it on the road there is a/was an animal rescue centre, I think recognised by Royalty? When I was there someone brought in a duck with finishing line in its mouth. For a small fee you can look at the rescued animals. Nearby access to further walks, golf club and you can come out near Oakwood tube, Piccadilly Line, and on the left opposite a variety of shops. If you bear left from the Adventure place there us a free car park and disabled parking. Toilets nearby with a drinking fountain. There is a large cafe/ restaurant with plenty of outside seating. If driving you could pass this cafe and there is secluded parking in the woods with many walks nearby. Very popular Saturday and Sunday especially for dog owners and of course their dogs!

My friend introduced me to Trent Park in 1997! There's some parking and there's also local piccadilly Cockfosters Tube a short walk to get there! There's facility for all ages! The cafe is really homely too! They embrace local habitat and all sorts of folk with or without dogs! They have outside heating facility too! There's toilets at the main entrance cafe. It pretty much remains unspoilt. Great place to explore. In late August the cricket chorus can be heard, if you're exceptionally lucky....

I grew up attending this park as a child, and now as a parent I find myself bringing my daughter here... mainly to use the long flat road to help her learn to skate or ride a bike! The cafe has had a nice transformation, I remember what it was like 20+ years ago, stopping in there for a hot chocolate and a cake! I’m not sure what all the building works over at the old Uni end will become, fingers crossed it’s in-keeping with the park, it’d be a shame to lose it! - Also well worth downloading the Geocaching app, there’s plenty to find in Trent Park!

A great place to get some fresh air and exercise. This is a wonderful and popular local amenity (the car parks can get pretty full on a sunny weekend). There are hills and lakes where you can picnic in the summertime, and flat grassy areas for playing games on. Down the centre is a long tarmacced walkway perfect for little ones with their first bikes. Lots of woodland to wander through, and it's a great place to go running.

An amazing and large bit of countryside, not far from Cockfosters tube. Sections of forest to walk through, water garden, obelisks and nice cafes. We wanted to see the Camlet Moat which is slightly hidden in the North of the park - we asked directions from locals who told us it was stagnant and untended. But when discovered, we found it to be enchanting - a larger than expected square moat with access to a small peaceful island. According to who you believe it was originally the site of an ordinary medieval forestry administration centre, or of Camelot castle itself, complete with dungeons and a meeting point of ley lines - take your pick. I found it to be almost like a portal - quiet (apart from the nearby road), meditative and other worldly, food for the imagination. Well worth a visit.

I must admit that I only visit the park on weekdays,where I have never seen any bad behaviour by fellow park users, but judging by the used BBQ trays and rubbish left on the floor over the weekends, I suspect weekdays are the best time to visit the park.

Trent park is part of the London Green Belt. On the outskirt of the busy metropolis it offers a natural ,rural atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all nature lovers or those who just want a peaceful walk surrounded by meadows, forest, and enchanting ponds any time of the year. It is popular with walkers, joggers,, cyclists and horse riders. For intrepid visitors there is "Go Ape" adventure high on the woodland canopy. Zip wires and rope bridges will offer great views and quite few hours of energetic fun. You can bring sandwiches for a quick snack or visit the cafe' if you feel a little thirsty or peckish. However you decide to enjoy the park, please be respectful of the wild flora and fauna and bring your wellies.

And also there's fly tipping, there's several old kitchens and bags full of building waste in various places. Other than that it's a lovely park, where people come to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and leave their rubbish behind when they leave.

My family and I have been going there for years, growing up just up the road from there. The place has left us with many fond memories of nice family outings and dog walking, even our dog absolutely LOVES it there! Unfortunately there is one little problem that's been going for a while now and it's the staff at the cafe. Every time we go there for lunch, they keep getting the order wrong, even if we try to explain it as clearly as possible. It's a shame because I feel that it's letting the cafe down. They should consider getting better staff. Other then that, great place to be and I would recommend it to everyone.

From the Brigadier's cottage, to The Obelisk, to the old Middlesex University site which double for the public school. Or just enjoy strolling through the verdant loveliness

There is a great outdoor activity at Goape treetop challenge, close to Cocfosters Underground Station, in the middle of the wood. Great for families, colleagues, friends, exciting fun for everyone.

Great place for a dog walk. The cafe was a let-down though; from its appearance we expected some fairly decent scran, so I went risky with a Spanish omelette. Cheap ingredients, off-putting flavours and poorly presented, with two unnecessary massive pots of dirt cheap hummus and coleslaw - why bother with those? - and a huge side of shredded lettuce. The kind of plate of food that always makes me wonder to who it could appeal. Others have noted the poor service here, but the worst thing I could say about that from my experience is that it was unenthusiastic. But the park itself really is lovely.

Possibly the best council owned course I've ever played. Played from the white tees this is a difficult test. Only downsides are that in the winter it doesn't cope well and is VERY muddy, and in the summer a round of golf can take 6 HOURS!
