I started my time with Ideal House Share communicating with Ryan, who was helpful and friendly. Despite a few issues with staff during an unusual move to a second property to allow for student housing, the team where overall helpful thoughout my year.

These guys have been so helpful! I planned to stay with them for a month or so when I first moved to Manchester and ended up staying for over a year. Only leaving because I bought a house. They accommodated me extending my stay with them very easily. The house was equipped with all kitchen ware necessary and there was a cleaner that came weekly. Really can't say enough good things about them and happily recomend to stay with them!

Staff are very friendly, welcoming and were especially great during lockdown. They put quizzes on each week and hosted cooking competitions to keep us sane through the pandemic. Great houseshare company to get you setup in a new area. The flat I had wasn’t super modern but it was clean and had everything we needed for a decent price and no deposit required. Met some amazing friends who I am still good friends with now. They are a really sociable and friendly company, they organised events when I was with them and invited tenants along to meet. Never had any issues getting house things sorted with them! I would definitely recommend them!

I recently moved out of an IHS in Didsbury after 12 month rental and was pleased with the service Kristian and the team provided. I felt lucky to have spent a difficult lockdown period with some great people. Kristian genuinely seems to care about the chemistry of the people in the houses and I believe this is what makes IHS. During lockdown there was also weekly quizzes and competitions etc that helped get us through that difficult period. If you're new to Manchester, looking to make friends and stay in houses in good locations then IHS is a good shout.

Pros of IHS: found a lovely house with housemates I like. They bundle a few different bills (council tax, water, wifi and cleaners) in with the rent which is cheaper and rlly convenient. They're pretty responsive to issues and calm with how we take care of the property. No deposit so makes it cheaper and easier to move in. They also run competitions for all their tenants every so often, for example they recently offered a chance at winning a bottle of bubbly in exchange for leaving a review. How fun! Cons of IHS: if you have a spare room at your property that they're trying to fill, expect a text most days saying that there's a 'potential viewing', but don't expect them to show up. I get the vibe that they're slightly disorganised. Overall review: definitely better than a lot of estate agents in South Manchester as they don't seem to be actively trying to scam you out of money. I'm really happy in my house, and the prices are good. If you're looking to live with strangers it's a solid option.

Hi I'm Francesco, from Italy, and my experience with "Ideal House Share" is the second one and longest in shearing a house since i arrived in Manchester. I feel more in a family than in a agency. Since the first time I met the agents, Sophie and Noah, i understood to be in friendly and good hands. They had the patience to show me several houses and to let me know the lovely people who already were sharing their properties (through one of the cool meeting they often organise) until when i found the most suitable for me. The house where I live is very comfortable and the agency is always available to look after our needs and technical issues in a very fast way. Furthermore it organises a lot of different activities for their flatmates so we can also have the chance to meet new people and have fun. I think, cause of the quality of the properties, the prices and offered services, Ideal House Share has been the best choice and i can rate my experience as very positive. Ciao.

IHS is a great place to start if you're moving out/to manchester alone for the first time. They keep whatsapp group chats with all tenants so as to be extra responsive to any issues, and let me move between their properties without any hassle at all when my personal circumstances changed. 5/5, would highly recommend. I have been living in an Ideal House Share for roughly 4 months now and I can’t speak highly enough about it. I’ve lived in house shares for about 6/7 years now and this is the first time I’ve experienced an agency that truly cares about their tenants. Each time we have had an issue, we hear back very quickly and often the problem is resolved within a day or two. They also take the time to check in with tenants to see how they are doing, as well as providing useful information including DIY tips for around the house and signposting tenants towards mental health resources. On top of that, they also hold regular socials and competitions in which they give you the opportunity to meet other tenants, perfect for someone like myself who has just moved to the city. For the last social they hired out a bar for the a World Cup game and opened a bar tab. From meeting the Ideal employees at the social (including the Founder) you can see how much pride they all take in their work. Would definitely recommend.
