Even though I was told that Cunningham Lettings are the best choice for student housing in Nottingham I’m still amazed by how good they are. They are quick to respond to any of our messages and have professionals on hand to solve any problems we report, sometimes that same day. The amount of effort they put into making our lives easier is beyond what anyone would expect from a letting agency. There have even been a few instances now where they come to us offering us things we didn’t even know we needed to make the house better, this is the opposite to what has happened to most people I know who don’t go with Cunningham. I have recommended them to any student I know looking for a house.

Cunningham Lettings is by far the best estate agent I have ever dealt with. We unexpectedly had to move out of our current property and into a property owned by CL. The management team have been wonderful and have gone above and beyond to get us in earlier than expected to ensure we had a roof over our heads. They even went as far as to give us some packing boxes they had. Genuinely lovely company who are clearly a family run business who care about their tenants. Can also say that the deposit they asked for on a 2 bed flat was very reasonable, unlike some of these agents who want £1,000 plus! Would recommend Cunninghams to anyone.

Had a positive experience with the agency as they were always keen to reply to our messaged and have a good system for fixing broken things. A lot of letting agencies know that they can easily exploit students because they're only there for a year so they might as well milk as much money out of them as possible. This is absolutely not the case for Cunningham's. We had more than our fair share of problems over the 2 years we were there and Cunningham's were always willing to help us out with them. This included replacing a smashed window, a fridge freezer, an oven and a whole new bathroom, all free of charge. We rented with Cunningham’s in my second and third year at university; by far the best estate agent I have ever had and are mutually respected by everyone who goes with them. Very helpful, responsive and always up for helping. Special shout-out to Liv, who has helped us sort out drainage problems, boiler and radiator issues, an ant and wasp nest, a broken bedroom door and many many more - all of it free of charge. A recent memory was voluntarily dropping waters and snacks round for us because our taps were about to be cut off for a few hours. There are far too few landlords of integrity in Nottingham, especially ones which extend into the student housing market, but Cunningham's is an exception. Throughout the duration of our tenancy they were prompt in responding to issues, respectful toward us, and receptive to an complaints or explanations we had. This is all the more remarkable for the fact that we represented a particularly problematic group of tenants due to issues with one of our housemates. Sadly our time of working with Cunningham's has come to an end after 10 years. This agency led by Gaynor and the team have gone far above and beyond any expected level of service. The property has been fully managed by the agency during the whole term. Over 10 years the property has been fully occupied down to Cunningham's reputation in the area, and any issues have been dealt with compliantly and quickly. Recent sale of the property to an investment firm has been seamless, with info being available at short notice and advice provided throughout the sale which involved many people throughout the transaction. Whilst there is no more need at present for a professional relationship with Cunningham's, they will no doubt be on hand to offer advise and we will remain friends into the future. Cunninghams are so so friendly, helpful and go the extra mile for their tenants. We had a gas leak outside that was coming into the house, at no fault of Cunningham's and not only did they reimburse us for food we ate out that day while we were evacuated, but when it was suggested we might be evacuated again at 1am by the gas engineers, a member of the family who own Cunninghams came to the property, picked us up in their car, and got us rooms at a hotel and bought us breakfast in the morning. I've never heard of any letting agents doing so much for their tenants and could not recommend them higher.

I would highly recommend using Cunningham Lettings. I doubt you will find a friendlier set of staff. They are very quick to sort out any problems you have, and they are very professional. If you go into see them when you have a problem and tell them what you need fixing/improving they are extremely helpful, and if you don't live near you can phone them up or submit problems online. I have visited other student letting agents and none of them seem to care any where near as much as Cunningham's do. My house and I have decided to stay another year with Cunningham's because we thoughr they have had the best customer service of estate agents in Lenton.

Where do I start? Cunningham Letting, and specifically Madeline Cunningham is a hero. They are by far the best letting agent Lenton has ever seen. After setting us up in a spacious 8-person house with very cool automatic lights and an extremely modern shower... when the occasional problem arose, there was no instance where it wouldn't be solved in under 2 days MAX. Our son was studying at the University for four years. Right from the start my husband I were hugely impressed by the owner Gaynor Cunningham. Gaynor really has the students welfare at the centre of her support. Our son knew where to go to with any issues concerning the house and Gaynor was always ready and willing to sort them out to a satisfactory conclusion. By the same token we always knew our property was in safe hands. Gaynor offers the same standards to owners as she would her own house. Quite obviously we expected that the students had been brought up properly and they would respect the accommodation in the same way they would their own homes.
