David Pike was my property manager at Nicholas Humphreys and I can honestly say he was fantastic in helping me as a tenant and rectified quickly any issues I had with my rented property. He was always extremely courteous and respectful irrespective how small the problem may have been. Overall my dealings with Nicholas Humphreys during the 5 years I dealt with them were always very positive, especially David who looked after me and the property with the professionalism one came to expect from all Nicholas Humphrey's employees. Nicholas Humphreys ensured my third year accommodation was easy and not a hassle! David was excellent in being flexible for key collection and sorting out house issues promptly and/or with good communication. Examples: Window was broken, David kept communication on situation and it was sorted within 48 hours from calling. Washing machine started flooding - David called out an engineer same day. Apart from that there were very few issues regarding the houses. The check out process was smooth and they didn’t attempt to make silly deposit charges like I’ve experienced with other agency’s. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience

She continues to help me with my property, and my fathers too, being proactive in making sure we are one step ahead with any potential repairs, so as not to impact the students too. Thanks Shelley 🙂 Update to my previous review - Shelley has recently joined the team and now manages my property, she has hit the ground running. She keeps me in the loop with regards to works to go on at the house, as well as with the tenants. She liaises with people in the trade for the best quote for me. Really happy she is on the board - Thanks Shelley :) Nicholas Humphreys in Nottingham have looked after two properties for me since they 2013, and I have to say that starting from the top, Jonathan Macdonald through to Will Young, they are a brilliant team. Always responsive to not only my requests, but also the tenants they look after. Thank you guys :D

I have rented out a student home in Nottingham for the last 30 years, and through that time I have had my fair share of ups and downs with letting agents. I contacted Nicholas Humphreys when the agents I had basically ran off with the rental and deposits and "went bancruot" leaving myself, now living in Scotland, and my tenants in the lurch. The team effortlessly stepped in and took control. That was about 8 years ago, and since then I have been able to enjoy 100% occupancy plus the peace of mind Nicholas Humphreys were there to respond to the needs of the students, prompting me to attend to maintenance and improvements to ensure the fabric of the property remains a desirable rental prospect, and also efficiently and cost effectively supervised some more major repairs that have been necessary. I am particularly grateful to Catherine Bentham who has been consistently responsive, effective and friendly to deal with. I now live overseas, and without Nicholas Humphreys I would not be able to continue renting out this property. With increasingly onerous HMO legislation and other Nottingham City Council influence, it would be impossible without professional advice. Thank you Jonathan and crew.

I can't speak for what they are like when you actually live in one of their properties but I have just put down a holding deposit on a house and they were very helpful. After ringing up I was immediately sent a virtual viewing and then after ringing with questions later on Madeleine answered the phone and was extremely helpful, answering all the questions she could on the spot and then going and finding out the answers for the other ones. The replies were very quick leading to me being able to put a holding deposit down on a house the same day I found it- something very difficult at the moment (most likely due to the pandemic) as many companies are taking a very long time to respond, if they even respond at all. We were expecting another tough time with our letting agency having seen other reviews and heard stories. Our first few weeks with them weren't great as the house wasn't in a good state. However we had a great experience with NJH in the end. Our deposit was sorted correctly and during our tenancy whenever we had an issue it was sorted within the next 2/5 days. Although its a pain to always log everything online if you do it they are very good. This may be mainly down to Will Young who was in charge of our property. He looked after us and the house brilliantly.
