We bought our Peterborough house 15 years ago from Paul and Nick when they were at Carter Jonas and stayed in touch afterwards when they set up their own business, Norton Rickett. After a few years of deliberating about whether to sell or not, we finally decided to move late last summer/ early Autumn (2021) and Norton Rickett was our first port of call. Their advice was solid and the sale process was handled very professionally. Inevitably we encountered a few issues along the way, however, these were dealt with to our satisfaction and the sale went through first time to the original buyer. We look forward to working with Paul and Nick in the future.

We cannot praise Paul and Nick at NortonRickett enough, but we’ll give it a go. Illness forced us to downsize to a bungalow they were marketing and they guided us from our initial interest through to completion, keeping us informed of the progress throughout with regular updates. We were so impressed, we decided to market our current home through them. Timing of the sale was important as we transitioned from one home to the other and their advice on this and managing viewings, was crucial in achieving a successful sale. They pleasantly surprised us with their valuation but we had no shortage of viewings by genuine buyers. In fact, our house sold within a week with 5 offers over the asking price. At that stage their advice was crucial in ensuring the sale progressed to completion without a hitch. Paul and Nick are so very personable and professional and importantly, honest and pragmatic. They kept us regularly updated throughout our sale and purchase and ‘pursued’ solicitors and 3rd party estate agents, I’m sure in the nicest possible way, to ensure everything was progressing as it should. All we had to do was sit back and let it happen - in fact, our solicitor commented that “we were in very safe hands with Paul and Nick ”. Excellent personal service from start to finish from both Paul and Nick. Intimate knowledge of the current market provided a good valuation of our property that was slightly above our own valuation and way above a competitors valuation. Fortunately the valuation was on the money and sold quickly with plenty of other interested legitimate buyers in the wings. Excellent advice given throughout the sales process which was a lot longer than anticipated due to communication issues with other parties. Fortunately communication with Paul and Nick was first class and we managed to finally complete the sale successfully. An excellent Agent in all aspects of the job, well done!

During a period where the Property Market was very much stagnant to say the least, we tried various agents to sell our property. Firstly we tried a no commission estate agent with an upfront fee. This all seems good, but once they have your money, what's their incentive to spend time chasing prospective buyers and following up on viewings? We found this to be the case with us having to do all the chasing, and finding out details were not being passed on etc. We decided to go with Norton Rickett. Decided to place my house up for sale with NortonRickett estate agents and it was one of my better decisions. Not only did they sell it very quickly, the service that they provide continues throughout the house sale and only ends when we moved out and the new client moves in. Its easy to think that all an estate agent does is to sell your home, well of course this is their number one objective but these guys do so much more, which places them above any other estate agents I have had past dealing with. What I noticed with this estate agent is the proactive approach from start to end and this includes continual dialogue with client, their solicitors and mine, financial advisors etc. And if there are potential issues on the horizon they sort these before they become an actual problem. These guys are the most important part of the chain in my view and Paul and Nick are like the conductor of the orchestra. Yes the orchestra could perform without its conductor but in order to ensure a smooth transition from sale to completion these guys and their years of experience make it happen. I thoroughly recommend NortonRickett and I truly believe you would not find a better agent.
