We had a very good experience with March and Petit when we bought our house so there was no debate about who to use when we decided to sell. The advice we received from valuation to marketing was all first rate and the sale price exceeded the guide figure and our expectations. We can't fault the Company, all of the local offices got involved introducing prospective buyers but the team at Newton Ferrers who handled the sale through to completion were all exceptional. I don't often write endorsements like this, but I was extremely impressed by March And Petit. From the start of the engagement the service was incredible. When we met at the property, Claire was welcoming, friendly and very informative, she obviously had taken great care in understanding the property, it's history and seemed to have good knowledge of the vendors. Claire was extremely articulate, un-rushed and had a genuine interest in our thoughts and how we felt about the property. Compared to the viewing we had a few hours previously it was night and day. We made an offer on the spot, normally I would not be comfortable to show my hand so quickly in a negotiation, but I felt we could trust her to serve both her vendor and our interests. This is rare in sales. I work in a large corporate, so very used to sales people and negotiations, one of the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with. She is a credit to the brand and company.

Forget everything you’ve ever read or thought about Estate Agents and think again. Marchand Petit could write the book on how it should be done. Their professionalism, attention to detail and knowledge of local market dynamics, coupled with exceptionally high levels of legal knowledge, determination to follow-through and continual availability is truly unrivalled. Whilst I only have experience of one office from their extensive network in the South-West, if the team in the Newton Ferrers Office – Roger Punch, Claire Northmore and Julie Leach – are representative of their overall standards, then you need look no further. Claire, Roger and Julie were the best team anyone could hope for. Claire was the lead point of liaison for us and was excellent at every step in the process even when the first agreed sale fell through due to unforeseen circumstances, she had found another buyer within a matter of hours and a new sale was agreed, contracts were exchanged and the transaction was completed, all in under three weeks. The personal and professional service we received was second to none and I have no hesitation in recommending them, unreservedly. Five star ratings are often found but are rarely in line with the actual experience received – in this case the five-star rating is truly deserved and well-earned. Like the International Hotel rating scheme which officially stops at 5*, some establishments are nonetheless rated with 6 or even 7 stars. If measured by the same token, Marchand Petit in Newton Ferrers should receive a 7* rating – they really are that good. Faultless!

Marchand Petit were the perfect estate agents for us. They handled negotiations in a positive & professional manner and made the whole sales process straightforward. We had a slight problem with the original photographs but this was quickly rectified by the team and a new photographer engaged. Going forward, the only recommendation we would make, would be that whoever is doing the viewing, contacts the client to say the viewing is finished, as we ended up waiting to return not knowing if the potential purchaser had left. Apart from that we thought they were excellent.
