Good Experience working with Prospect. We bought and sold our house with them and both the process was super efficient just like all of their staff. I would like to special mention Michael Sharp and Aimee Smith who were dealing with our case and they are really nice people. They always made sure that we are aware of each and every step of the process and things are moving forward at good speed. There was hardly anytime I can remember when I have to follow up with them as it was always these people coming back to us with updates. Sold my house with Prospect. They were quick to get things moving and got a lot of viewings booked, and helped us get a decent price. They weren't always available or motivated when showing buyers around, but did try and keep us informed in general. Once we had an accepted offer Ross took over as our main contact and he was always quick and pro active. For reference I wouldn't recommend their partner solicitors.

I first came across Prospect Estate Agents when deciding to sell our property in Reading. They seemed knowledgeable and professional, and had a good presence in the local area. Marketing was quick and efficient with superb communications. I was always notified when viewings were arranged. The property was tenanted, and Prospect co-ordinated viewings directly with them, and kept me in the loop. Once we accepted an offer, Aimee (Transaction Support Co-ordinator) got involved. She took a very pro-active role in overseeing the whole process - from liaising with the buyer, chasing up queries and nudging the solicitors to keep things moving. Having Amiee as the Transaction Support Co-ordinator was a massive help! She was always chasing someone (in an efficient and helpful way!). Without her persistence, items get overlooked, forgotten, or just left on the pile of "things-to-do". Ultimately, thanks to Aimee, everything went smoothly and the sale is now complete. Did everything that a property agency should do. Service was fine, but nothing above and beyond what was required. Wouldn't actively recommend them, but i wouldn't advise people not to use them if they asked me. Kept in good and regular contact, arranged everything very quickly, phoning between myself and the landlord with things like extra questions, offers, deadlines etc often within the same hour to facilitate the deal. They did end up chasing me to get me to chase my referees when i had already provided them with full contact details of my previous letting agency as well as the landlord, after which it turned out the new landlord was yet to provide all the documents necessary. Pleasant phone manner from many people in the company. I am also leaving this review on request as they apparently have a drive to get "ideally 5* reviews" to here and another ratings site. May update this review once we have to check out.

Following the recent purchase of a buy to let property, Prospect Lettings were incredibly efficient, responsive and quick off the mark finding a list of prospective from their records before the house sale was even completed and the property ready to let. Within a week of completion they had organised an open event with 5 viewings and I had identified my preferred tenant. There were several more enquiries in subsequent weeks and a great deal of interest from many parties - all of which wanted to take the property. Prospect Lettings have been reassuringly effective in vetting prospective tenants not only through their referencing system but also through talking to them and applying a great deal of experience and common sense. I have received excellent advice and guidance in my choice of tenant . Choosing the right tenant is key to a successful rental relationship, particularly when managing things yourself. All administration and paperwork has been equally impressive and highly efficient. Communication is excellent. I have just rented a property through Prospect Reading and have found them extremely helpful throughout. I ran into an unusual obstacle with referencing caused by incompatibility between my bank and the referencing company Goodlord. This was quite stressful and I was worried about losing the property, but the agents at Prospect reassured me throughout my many frantic phone calls, and moreover were proactive in chasing a solution on their end. The whole process was made a lot easier by contact with staff who seemed to genuinely appreciate the position of tenants trying to secure a new property, and displayed both initiative and interest. Whenever I had a query or wanted an update it was very easy to get in contact, and everyone at the agency knew who I was, not just the agents overseeing my file. Everyone had a very welcoming manner that was just the right balance of professional and personal. To be quite honest I was really pleasantly surprised to have this experience with a letting agency. I would definitely recommend Prospect as they have acted as proper mediators and not just (as I have experienced in the past) impersonal representatives of the landlord. Picking an estate agent can be like walking through a mine field so I spoke to some friends who had moved house recently both of them gave me the same name and that was Ben Hamlin at Prospect. I contacted Ben to arrange a time for him to visit myself at the property he came out, gave myself a thorough overview of the market, what affect upcoming changes will have and his valuation was actually a bit more than I expected. Following the appointment with Ben I did have two other estate agents out to see me although it was a no contest.
