I was warned by my colleagues about the difficulties that people face while looking for a rental property in York. I spent almost a month and a half to finally find a suitable place and get it. I must say that Hunters has been a major partner of my house-searching journey. They were quite transparent about the competitive market from the beginning but they also always provided helpful advice to me. I found their staff (Sophie) to be very helpful and honest at every stage of the process. The application process was very simple - just a phonecall with their staff who filled the form on my behalf. Their portal for accessing and signing paperwork is also quite efficient. Overall, their service is quite prompt and sincere. I feel highly satisfied and thankful!

We moved into a property approximately 6 weeks ago since then we have had to deal with extremely noisy neighbours. We since found out it is why the previous Tennant left. We were not told this. We have found out half of the neighbours on the street have complained about them too. I have since been in touch with hunters who told me the reason the last tennant moved out was that the street had changed over time due to another estate agents. I personally feel Hunters should have spoken to the previous Tennant and ask what the problem was. However this did not happen hunters also told me there was nothing they could do about the issue and for me to contact the police with any further issues. We have since had a conversation with hunters who have assured us they have spoken to the estate agents if the neighbours concerned and they have made sure that something will happen with the neighbours in future if further incidents happen. I was sceptical of Hunters at first — I mean, they're estate agents for starters(!), and their initial quote for managing the sale of our property was slightly higher than that of another local estate agent.
