We recently sold our house with Quantum and would definitely recommend them. From the initial valuation to completion they were professional, helpful and friendly. They replied to emails and phones quickly and were always very reassuring when required, which is definitely what you need when moving house. Not planning on moving house again, anytime soon but if I did would use Quantum again.

Great agency, very helpful people. Even though I did not end up renting with Quantum, I could not pass up on commenting on how good they have been, especially Hannah! Me and my friend had been trying to find a house to rent for weeks, and despite having the money and being fully-employed at the time, our credibility was low as we were recent graduates instead of long-term professionals. Contrary to other agencies that either did not give us enough attention or were rude to us, Quantum helped us with viewings and houses and were very helpful. What is more, the amount that they require to take a house out of the market is significantly lower to some fairly high amounts other agencies demand, which is great for people that are starting up a household. Overall, highly recommended.

A good estate agency to rent with - it's nice that they're a small independent agency, and have very pleasant staff. Over the time I was renting a property from them (16 months), I had 2 inspections which were done at convenient times to me as I worked from home, any sale viewings were also arranged at times that were convenient to me, and any remedial work required in the flat was taken care of fairly swiftly. I had no issues at all in any interactions, and during one slightly less than smooth viewing I provided feedback and this was taken into account for all following viewings.

The guidance provided at the end of the tenancy was very helpful, including hints and tips about cleaning. This certainly helped me get back 100% of my deposit. We rented with Quantum for more than 3 years, and ended up buying our first home via them too. They manage their property well, had an occasionally non-intrusive maintenance inspection, usually fix issues in good time after being notified and are always helpful and kind. When buying a property via them, they once referred me to my legal adviser for some questions which I really didn't think were legal matters, but apart from that they were great, very transparent and efficient. We have even been pleasantly surprised by a bottle of Prosecco in our new house on the day of completion, and had most of our deposit returned from the old place, despite having lived there with 3 kids (which makes normal wear and tear a bit more intense). I would definitely recommend them.

Quantum are a very professional and highly competent company and know their business. I have myself worked in Estate Agency for a long time and therefore am qualified to recognise a good agent. I have used them for tenant find services for our 3 student lets in York for the last 8 years and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. I have 100% faith in Quantum and their Lettings team who have always found us tenants very quickly and their efficient service is second to none. Whoever these people are who have written bad reviews here, I can only say that they need to take a look at the real and honest reason why their experiences with this company turned out as they did! I am aware that the girls on the front desk are having to deal with difficult problems associated with tenants on a day to day basis, but I have to say that in their defence, the calibre and quality of students has dropped dramatically over the last couple of years and this brings with it a huge rise in associated problems, namely being damage and abuse of the property together with major ongoing cleaning issues. Whenever there has been a problem with any of our tenants or properties in the past, Quantum have always been a tower of support and have been able to offer good sound professional advice with a sensible approach. Their communication is honest and efficient and they will always highlight any problems that may jeopardise our ongoing student letting business. In further praise they are quick to tell landlords if their properties are overpriced and in need of upgrading, which of course is in favour of the tenants. I shall continue to use Quantum Lettings without hesitation whilst ever we let out property in York.

Having dealt with many agents over the years, Buying selling and renting. I have to say that Quantum have it all! A friendly helpful team of staff - open 7 days a week. Always easy to contact and keen to help. I have used Quantum several times and have always found the service professional and stress free (An important factor when selling a house). Other agents often promise what they cannot deliver in order to win business - Quantum have for me always delivered what was discussed at the beginning. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone. If your wading through the numerous choices of estate agents - look no further!

Quantum are the first non-student estate agents I have used since moving to York and the difference has been like astonishing. No contractors and staff coming and going freely owing to "administrative errors", no threatening emails and very professional staff. We had an issue where another flat in the building had been filing numerous false complaints with the building management group to the extent we felt like we weren't getting quiet enjoyment of the property as stated in our agreement with Quantum ... so Quantum jumped right on the phone with the management group to find out what had been going on and managed to get things sorted therefore upholding their agreement with us. You can't really ask for more. The only way they could improve would be to look at getting maintenance issues sorted a bit quicker however, when they say something will be sorted, it does get sorted. Keep it up, it is nice to have at least one good letting agents in York!

Massive thanks to Deana, Hazel, Hannah and the team at Quantum. We rented a flat through them for five years and they were really great. We had a stressful time trying to rent at first because we were moving from Manchester and every time we travelled to York, the property we had booked to view online went as we were driving over. In despair, we were sat in Brew and Brownie wondering what to do, when the barista suggested we try Quantum. We called in and Deana sorted us out two viewings that day, and we found a really great flat that was our home for the next five years. Also, I had to ask about my mum's cat moving in with us because of family issues cropping up literally two weeks after we moved in (yes, genuinely, it was really stressful), and because we were totally honest with them they asked the landlord on our behalf and he let us keep our Duchy cat - I can't say they can work this magic for everyone (as we were lucky to have a lovely landlord too) but they were really understanding throughout the whole process. Couldn't have asked for a nicer, more reasonable team (or landlord). Thanks for everything, Quantum.

Rented with Quantum - they were always easy to get hold of, mostly easy to deal with and mostly dealt with problems with the upkeep of the house quickly. Lose a star for taking too much from our deposit for some cleaning that needed doing. They lose another because they charged our deposit for the blinds being dirty, when it was their worker who dirtied them when installing them. We argued this and they didn't budge.
