A lovely family restaurant with a nice bar attached. Food was hot, plentiful and delicious. Fish was fresh and well cooked but burger was definitely standard defrosted catering stuff, although cooked well. Service was friendly and attentive.

A decent pub menu and good service. Just tried this place in passing one afternoon and will definitely be visiting again. The food was good, price was fair and it has a good selection. There's plenty of outdoor seating on a sunny day and it's dog friendly.

Nice pub. Kept clean and has table service. Dogs welcomed inside. Big screens for the sports fans. Changed from the last time, many years ago, where you couldn't get to the bar for people sitting in their reserved chairs. They have, thankfully, gone. We will be back again soon.

Such a lovely restaurant but shame it’s not busy. We went on a Tuesday night and only two tables occupied. Staff member so friendly and welcoming. Menu great and food was delicious. Large portions. Slight issue with a curry being too hot, but this wasn’t an issue and they served something else instead.

Nice big space outside though tables maybe a bit too close. Drinks reasonable priced though when you state 'no ice' and they still give you ice.... and then take it away, fish out the ice and give you back the cold watered down drink it really hacks me off. Never mind, most bars dont listen. My Fish and chips were excellent though. Mind you cutlery would have been good or at least a napkin to wipe my fingers. 😂 Staff were great although the guy checking us in hadn't quite sussed out the mask under the nose thing. All in all though it was a good day, a good crowd and despite the amount of young folk everyone behaved apart from us old buggers setting a bad example. Sorry!

Went for lunch with kids. Very good covid procedures in place, cleaning very good, staff wearing masks, tables spaced well, plastic cups. Food was delicious, hot and plentiful! Place had a good atmosphere. No kids menu. Fantastic place.

We never knew that this place existed. What a find! Located in the heart of bridge of don this beautiful restaurant offers lovely meals. With a range of firm favorites and traditional Scottish food it has something for for all tastes. The kids menu is full of popular kids dishes. The staff are lovely and the environment quiet and relaxing.

Went for lunch today, traditional Sunday lunch first slight disappointed was new Potatoes not roast, so I question traditional? Although it was very nice. We then asked for Berry Crumble, that took some time to arrive, when it did it was like a bowl full of runny berries with the thinnest flourery butter tasting slop with a tiny tiny jug of custard, couldn't eat it and sent it back. The waiting staff were wonderful very apologetic and were very attentive, felt sorry for them as couldn't believe any chef would send that out. Nice looking restaurant and your not squeezed in like sardines.

Was very disappointed, no steak on the menu which left 3 of our party disappointed and service was very slow. Think the waiter was trying to be funny but just came across as obnoxious. They also didn't have half the ice creams on the menu. Food I ended up ordering was nice and the rest of our party enjoyed their meals, no complaints in terms of food quality.

Food good, service very slow ... Place is getting run down, seats ripped in some areas, toilets looks 50year old. Seems to be going downhill and only thing seems to be going for it is the food I'm afraid. Edit: wanted to mention about a waiter but couldn't think of the words. Another reviewer said obnoxious and think that best describes him guess was the same waiter!

Went to the mains of scotstown a couple of weeks ago with the family. Was a little bit dubious about going as i had heard and read mixed reviews on the place. But from the moment i walked into the restaurant i was pleasantly surprise. We was greeted by a friendly waitress when we walked though the door and was taken to our table where our drink order was taken and given menus. We ordered our food and when our food arrived it was really nice and you could tell that it was freshly made and homemade chips my favourite. I felt that is was a very nice relaxing atmosphere and didnt fill rushed at any point and will be back.

myself and my husband and 2 of our friends came up for food yesterday in the bar. Both the guys had the full rack of ribs which smelt lovely i had the balmoral chicken with chips and salad which was fantastic, and my pal had the burger, food came out quick, hot and was a nice atmosphere in the bar with everyone watching the football, will be back

Great food and tables aren't crammed together which makes your experience feel more intimate than in a big standard pub. Really good prices also. Mother in law loves when we take her here!!!

We went there to celebrate my grandads 90th birthday last Sunday and it was perfect! We had the conservatory to ourselves and had the option of the High Tea menu which was brilliant. Good size portions for young and old, with the option of soup to start and then a great selection of yummy bakes after with tea and coffee. There were no complaints, moans or errors! Staff were pleasent, helpful and keen. Would highly recommend it and will be going back again!!

Disappointing vegetarian selection with only two options on the menu, one of which was unavailable. It was replaced with vegetable lasagna which seemed like it was just vegetables, pasta sheets and tomato puree. Underdone chips too. Couldn't fault the service and it's been beautifully refurbished just a shame about the food.

We had our Xmas dinner there & I was very disappointed as the food & the service is usually exceptional but we had to wait 45 mins to be served our starter then one hour 15 mins to be served our mains then 45 mibs to wait for our dessert the food was ok except for the roast potatoes were very much overcooked & were like bricks I complained about the roasties only to be given a small bowl of riasties between 5 peple that were exactly the same state as the first ones & not to mention that they ran out of yorkies I used to live this place but it has went severely downhill I grudged the £60 a head for our Xmas meal this year as u have had so much better elsewhere

Went to watch the football with my eight year old son and have a pub lunch i used to woek here so knew the food was fresh and well made and great value for money was a lovely meal my sons nice fresh hand battered haddock looked sooò good i could of ate one also and my tex mex burger hit the spot great grub amazing prices and a bonus i can take my son to watch the football have a meal and a pint and enjoy the big screen tv that is very good quality picture. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a lovely pub lunch with there kids and great value for money i was stuffed and the home cooked chips were awesome 😆👍👍 the best place in bridge of don for food at the moment I'd say by far and kids portoins are a great size will be going again very soon thanks to the lovely staff who were so welcoming and helpfull also A Plus .
