A great Indian restaurant with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options. The food and service are top notch. You might be a bit apprehensive about the location but it's definitely worth a visit. The staff are very polite and attentive, and the servings are generous.

We have had the absolute privilege to have been here. Almost everything is closed in Aberdeen on Monday, but luckily Monsoona was open. What a delight! A nice small restaurant nicely situated in the city center of Aberdeen, very attentive and friendly staff, and above all, a splendid curry. I had the Traditional Curry Madras. Yes, it’s spicy but the flavors and palette are so good, that it easily outrules the “flames” inherently related to this dish. I have had many curries, but this one is on top! Thanks especially to the owner, who is also a hard-working man with a normal day job elsewhere. I can’t imagine how he manages this! 😊

We had a lovely meal here last night but when we went to pay our bill they advised us that the card machine wasn’t working. Not good enough as there was 4 of us with a £200 bill. They really should inform customers before they are seated that it’s cash only! Good service & food.

Clean, welcoming outer face to restaurant. Interior, very warm (good on winters nights!), staff immediately hospitable, welcoming and friendly. Starters: Poppadoms with assortment of dips. Additionally, had "Mahi Machli" - this was a salmon dish - absolutely divine, would highly recommend. Main: King Prawn Rogan Josh, with Pilau Rice and a Garlic Naan. Again, fantastic. Curry was bursting with flavour, just what you expect from one of the better Indian restaurants in the city, highly recommended. Dessert: Fruit tray - lovely ending to a hearty meal. Overall - if I could give 6 stars, I would. Diamond in the rough. Shall definitely be back!

The food was really delicious! I could recommend the cashew rice and the chicken tikka masala. The naan bread was also good. The service was super nice and friendly. They are open till late. So, all in all, I would definitely eat there again.

Taste is one of the best in Aberdeen. Nothing healthy about this place... But it's very good tasty food. Portion sizes are slightly on smaller side and price on the higher side. But these would make up for the good taste. Service is good and fast. It's a small place and was almost full even on a Monday. So, better book a table in advance. Was told meat is halal here.

The food is great actually, one of the best indian restaurants in town - the health twist is nice but needs improvement. The location and the ambiance are great. Sadly, service is not up to standards - the restaurant is more concerned with making money at all costs, even if it treats customers unfairly. The prices are far from fair - the alcohol is ridiculously overpriced, you'll pay 10 pounds for a glass of basic wine, haven't seen anything like it anywhere. Meal for two, starter, main and a vegetable side plus a glass of wine each without rice or nan, came out at 90 pounds. Fine dining prices for food, whilst great, is definitely not fine dining quality, a rip off. They could be brilliant but need to revise their prices and the way they handle customers.

Love Monsoona take away, the food always tastes great! Just don't get your hopes up for Estimated Delivery Time, it's been about 40 minutes late each time for us which isn't ideal when you're starving🤣 But at least they phoned to apologise.

Look no further than Monsoona for fantastic Indian food in Aberdeen. I stopped in with a small group of friends for some late night sustenance while visiting the city. We'd been hankering for great Indian and were certainly not disappointed. Service was excellent and fast, despite being busy, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. To top it off, the food was some of the best I've had in recent memory. It was head and shoulders above most other Indian options to be found in UK cities, and quite healthy, to boot. Will definitely be returning.

Restaurant is ok. But when it's full and outside cold don't get a table near the door. You will catch a cold. The menu has a lot of dishes but most with meat. For vegetarians are only just a few. Unfortunately. For all the others you should know a little bit about the Indian chicken. Newbies don't find much description what it is.

He was very helpful & pleasant. I work for NHS in the acute clinical hospital, so was able to take the NHS 40% discount offered during the Covid 19 pandemic. Very appreciative of this generous offer. I come to Aberdeen on a regular basis and I always always make a point of coming here. Recommend the house specials esp. the Ceylon curry. Great options including a whole fish if you're looking for something more healthy. I've eaten a lot of curries and Monsoona is among the best.

The Ceylon curry and monkfish were amazing, plus the abundant interesting starters on offer Despite a very busy night, being heavily occupied with a large party, the staff were delightfully attentive. Menu was extensive but not overwhelming which many restaurants of sub continent cuisine tend to have.

This health conscious CM2 had plenty of choice for places to eat in Aberdeen, however this place caught my attention; and it was well worth the visit. Started with the typical 2 pops and chutney tray...it had been a very long day (drive) so a third pop snook on for good measure. Nice choice of pickle and onions... Great start. For mains I opted for the Tandoori chilli chicken, with a Saag side. It also came with salad and a curry sauce (as seems obligatory in Scotland).... What can I say; this was excellent! I would rate as the best curry I've had in Scotland. All dishes were really tasty, generous with the portions and chicken done to a tee. Not sure how this was "any more healthy" than anywhere else, but they certainly waved the magic on the taste buds. The one healthy bit was the segments of orange when asking for the bill.....I was a little nervous that this was in place of the after 8; but that soon followed. I went to the Monsoona for the third time on Saturday 08th April and found the food to be really good. I ordered a lamb Ceylon, the lamb was tender and the flavours (which were beautifully balanced) of the curry did not overpower the lamb, which is often the case at many Indians I have eaten at. The waiters are attentive, without being annoying. However on a previous occasion when eating at the Monsoona, I found the food to be poor, the chicken was dry and the meal ordered was not what arrived at my table. I had ordered Ceylon, but a Korma, which was very creamy and cocoa nutty came, which could have come out of a jar. I think this was down to the fact, that their chef had been taken ill and rushed to hospital, that morning. His stand-in was not up to the job, hence I gave it another chance and I am glad I did. I Would definitely go again.

Very good food, with quantities that do not leave room for hunger, and excellent quality.
