Fantastic and attentive staff. Fast food but it was dripping in oil, a proper greasy spoon not to my taste, but it is fantastic value. Will definitely go back to try something else.

Delicious freshly cooked breakfast in a friendly, traditional cafe restaurant. Had large breakfast and very nice cup of tea (nice tea a rarity these says). Great price so excellent value. Very nice and fully recommended.

This place has been here as long as I can remember. And from what I can remember, it hasn't changed much if at all over the years, but that's a good thing. They've got quite a big menu and an all day breakfast menu. The prices are reasonable too. When we went it was quite busy but the service was still quick and we got our food nice and hot. The food was tasty and it was quick to pay as well, they accept contactless card payment which is a big plus for me.

This place is kept very clean,the food is cooked at the back of the restaurant in plain sight! The staff are friendly and will soon point you to a table! Not been in here since I was a kid but went in for lunch and was transported back instantly. Food was very good, basic grub at a good basic price and we LOVED the huge plateful. The service here is really good, and it's a nice greasy spoon in the heart of the Bedford high road. My father comes here regularly on a Saturday and the quality is solid. If you want a good English Breakfast on the cheap, it's definitely the place.

Been going here for a long number of years. I know the owner very well. Hes extremely pleasant and welcoming. Always gives me a big smile when i comw for food. They have a big varied menu with loads of choice. From breakfasts to pie mash and chips. The food is good value for money and tastes great. Been literally going here since i was like 7-8 im now 30. Poppins is a great place to go to grab breakfast if you just haven't had the time. It has just been refurbished and so has a more open and modern feel. The staff are friendly and helpful. No frills, honest food. So we have shied away from this place for years, mainly because the decor is not very inviting. Once you're in it, you kinda understand that perhaps that's what keep bringing their clients back. The service was topnotch, friendly, inviting and attentive 10/10. The food itself.... Ok... It is what it is with Poppins, it's not food to blow your mind, it's just food, like I said, simple honest food. The food that you get when you visit your nan or a relative. Does this place need a makeover? Yes! but perhaps it works the way it does because it hasn't done that and I hope it doesn't change, I like it the way it is.
