Wendover Caffe/Honeycrust bakery this place is practically a piece of Bedford's recent history. I lived abroad for almost 5 years and came back and they still remembered me, asking where I have been and how my family is. It's the ultimate breakfast place (although their other food is also delicious) but I always have a full English breakfast when I go here. It can't be beaten on price and if you just want a good, old-fashioned fashioned fry up with a cuppa, this is the place to go.

Found this place after a delivery,as I was due a tacho break. What a great experience. Just like walking in a café abroad. Fresh bread,home cooked food and pastries. The staff were excellent to say that they were going to be closing. Still fed me and I enjoyed sitting outside and eating my lunch in the sun.

The best cooked breakfast anywhere 😋I hadn't been in for 8 years (up north)the counter lady looked at me and said 5star(big breakfast) and how's your daughter...not forgotten even though it's rammed all day everyday...plus they have an Italian deli fully stocked...do yourself a favour and check it out

A hidden gem we are lucky enough to have on the Wendover roundabout; super friendly staff, low prices for absolutely delicious food. When I have guests coming over and I don't have time to cook, I ask them for a whole sheet pan of any of their lasagnas and everybody's beyond happy!

If your not from Bedford then I would recommend a visit, breakfast is lush, pasta is top tier homemade and to finish off they have Bedfords finest chocolate toothpaste (you’ll thank me after for the recommendation if you haven’t had a toothpaste)

One of the best places to grab lunch in Bedford. They offer both hot and cold food at pretty good prices and they're very generous with the portions. I've never felt like I overpaid for any food there. The staff are friendly and work quickly .

Nothing special really, but someone who's looking for a classic full English breakfast in that area could have a look at that restaurant. It seemed to be very popular for workers, as quite a lot guys been thronging there. The menus are very simple but you will get a big filled plate of it. The look and feeling is rather a canteen. The prices are ok. When I visited the place, it was quite busy. I wouldn't recommend that particular restaurant, but I've seen worse places than this one and the staff was friendly, even in a busy moment.

Fabulous greasy spoon café with great "traditional" cooked breakfast. However, they also serve some wonderful Italian and continental dishes like arancini and pasta. The restaurant is big and clean so no overpowering smells of greasy food.

The Honey Crust Bakery is a firmly established Italian owned cafe in Wendover drive. On offer is good quality meals at very competitive prices. There are a variety of English breakfast choices, including a vegetarian option. With plenty of seating the decor is light and airy, and during the summer months there are tables and chair situated out side, so you can enjoy the sunshine too. The proprietors and staff are friendly and the service is top notch. The Honey Crust Bakery is a good choice for breakfast or lunch, or just a cuppa.

Great place for natural home cooked family food. An undiscovered gem, as everyone thinks all you can do here is have breakfast! If this was in Islington it would be impossible to get a seat, there is absolutely loads of free parking, five or six specials of the day companied by a wide variety of fresh vegetables or salads, mashed potato roast potato.. local chilies if you fancy those on the side all for only about £5-7 all home-made in their massive kitchen. Generous portions, or if you prefer pasta you can choose from at least seven or eight delicious dishes including spinach and ricotta cannelloni home made on the premises of course. They have homemade arancini, schnitzel, special Italian pies which are amazing, If you're up for a cake or desert you can choose from approximately 20 different Italian cakes. Come and try it and you'll be amazed at how much more there is than their breakfast menu :)

I grew up in Bedford and as a result enjoyed a dessert at school known as Chocolate Toothpaste. I now live in Essex where they are more obsessed with things like reality TV and the use of the word babe so I'm not able to indulge in an old school memory. That's where this place comes in.
